Opening a Millermatic 211

Some Millermatics get bent in shipment and the side door will not open. Heres how to open it!
U suck!
That's amazing! Thanks for the awesome tip...will save me alot of trial and error!!😊
Hope you get your pot fixed. 😊
@SCHNEIDER2862 BTW this pot was given to me and I think it's aluminum because there's no writing on the bottom and its not heavy.
Don’t use the wire brush if it’s an aluminum pot.
Good video.
Thanks!
I am from Riau province of Indonesia 🇮🇩 and I am a Muslim, can this brush cutter be used in narrow places ? 👍👍
I guess as narrow as your hedge trimmer. 🧐
I gave myself permission to use my dremel ❤
Going to do this thanks!
Hope it worked for you.
Thanks I had my mom's old pan and she had grease build-up on the outside. I'm definitely going to the hardware store and restoring her pan
Good luck. Hope it turns out like new.😊
I’m a retired machinist I came up with the idea before I watched your video. So I was using glaze pop chocolate using the kettle corn technique with wood dowel and plexiglass lid - with holes. It you add the peanuts and chocolate it’s fantastic. It’s cooks so fast at the end it burns 85 % of the pan. So I just grabbed the wire brush to see what it would do without the drill and it worked. Nice clean stainless pan. I enjoy mixing it with other flavors - like Carmel - and Cracker Jack. Thanks for sharing. You want to use red scotch brite at the end not steal wool.
Read scotch Brite is a good idea and I have some. Thanks for the idea.
Lmfao..this is what I just had to do.
Smart dude!!
Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
I hope it helps you.
Glad to see a man show women how to clean burnt popcorn off a pan. I tried all the solutions over the years and none of them work. It's one thing to clean burnt on food off a pan (called deglazing- used for seasoning your dish). But popcorn or frozen corn burnt on the bottom of your pan is not coming off with anything except a wire brush. Thank you kind sir.
Burnt popcorn is the worst! I tried "all" the supposed fixes before I decided to get serious! I'm glad if this helped you.
@@SCHNEIDER2862 I do have a wire brush for my drill, but I removed it the old fashion way "I earned it." :) My inexperienced son burnt this one. The other kids are on their own, so we won't have any more burnt pans. I did notice this time while scrubbing with scotch pad, baking soda is a great abrasive that polished the burnt spots off faster than just water. Comet works well too, but I've stop scrubbing all my pans with comet years ago because of the chemicals.
A smart idea! Thank you for sharing it.
Hanzi Xu You’re welcome I hope it helps you.😊
Thank you Mark, I've been looking for this. Plus your bonus ideas are great. I was planning to get one, as the 1/4" isn't doing the job. I may put the 1/2" in the pistol grip drum and bore out the nozzle to accommodate the larger diameter.
cameriqueTV I’m so glad it’s helpful. Happy Thanksgiving

cameriqueTV That’s great! Good improvement on the idea.
Salut
thank you mark for sharing that- clever, and useful!
Dartell Omega You’re welcome I hope it works for you.
Dartell Omega thank you and I hope it helps.
same thing for me! ive counded over 40 just on 2 windows!
Urpupdixie they’re horrible! And every year it seems worse. Hope you have luck in getting rid of them. 😊
Thanks so much!
Gary Goodman so glad it helped you.
Pretty good idea there... I like it...
Thank you. I tried to come up with an idea that was relatively cheap but would do the job. :)
I was just looking for how to get burned "corn" out of a stainless steel pot. Of course, I didn't mention it was just a saucepan ... and when saw the drill come out on the video I just was flabbergasted!!! LOL!!! Glad I watched, it was worth watching -- but I think there's a better way for my little saucepan with a copper bottom ... I'll keep these tips in mind :)
+Janet Spencer Works great on copper. Looks worse than it is. I realize that power tools can scare. Especially on your "good" pot. Don't worry. Wear glasses. :)
+Mark Schneider Hello funny guy! I do wear glasses LOL!! Got a shiny new looking saucepan by adding dish soap to pot, add water, boil for a while, gently scraped out burned stuff with a spoon, put a little "Bar Keeper's Friend" on a Mr Clean Scrubber, gently rubbed out the rest of the black charred stuff and grease stains - easy, gentle, no electricity needed :) But it worked! Thanks again!! (Love Bar Keeper's Friend)
+Janet Spencer I am so glad that that worked for you. Way better than power tools! :) But if you ever have a bunch of Firefighters that burn the crap out of popcorn in your good stainless steel pot and if that method doesn't work, then before you throw the pot out; try this method. I tried "everything". boiling, boiling with vinegar, SOS pads, scraping and on and on. Just before I pitched it into the scrap metal bin, I came up with this "last ditch effort". And it worked! I was so surprised that I just had to share. :)
Tempted to buy a drill and the attachments to clean up the pot I burned up last night!
Karen Floyd Borrow a drill. :)
Hi Mark! I just wanted to thank you sooo much for your video. I love popcorn and my husband hates it so having "cooked" one of the pots while making MY popcorn has caused some sideways glances from my husband. I am determined to clean the pot I messed up and you ,darling, have given me the secret. I am forever grateful! Rock on!
You are most more than welcomed. We too love popcorn. Hope everything turns out ok. Any questions let me know.
Hey Mark. You're a bloody legend. I did think of going industrial on our pot but I must admit the fear of my wife looking at me through the base did sort of put me off just a touch. However... as soon as I'm finished typing I'm off to the hardware store to pick up the necessary items. Cheers mate. Thanks again!
Let me know how it goes.
Mark Schneider It came up just as yours did. Brand New. My wife is wrapped, my son is relieved (He's the one that burnt the pot) and I look like a hero. Total cost was about AU$7.00. I already had most of the stuff. Just bought a set of 3 wire brushes. (cup, wheel and one that looks like a shaving brush) It was cleaned out, rinsed, dried and back in the cupboard within 15 minutes. And that sucker was cremated! Thanks again mate. Keep up the great videos.
FutBusted Most people today don't associate kitchens with workshops like they have almost forever until modern times. Mark's gone back in time with good effect. Voila!
Sol's Agave Stand Thank you.
FutBusted Glad it helped. Can't blame the boy; I too love popcorn and have made a mistake or two. :)
I appreciate your help-- this is great! Gotta ask though; what's up with the confederate flag?
Thank you. To know your Country is to know the story of the flag. Always stand for your brother and question your government. :)
I kinda know the story of that flag...
Traitor! The confederate army was lucky I wasn't the President at war' s end! The hanongs would have endless. Then the union army would have been an occupying force thru the next century because you traitors NEVER LEARN YOUR LESSON!@@SCHNEIDER2862
What worked for me is hydrogen peroxide and eucalyptus essential oil mix in spray bottle, since I sprayed around windows inside and doors, never seen one again its been a week. I can finally sleep.
Hope it works as good as Harris Home Pest Control. It uses oil extracted from Chrysanthemum (MUMS), and is completely safe for pets and kids. Sorry; I've done a crap load of research . At this time of year the only stink bugs you're going to see are the ones trying to get out. The real fight is in the Fall. Good luck! Kill all you can!
This helps alot!
I'm glad it helped you..
Saved my best ss soup pot, thanks.
Glad it helped.
Thanks Im going to grab some of that stuff Im sick of them, I saw a baby on the window two days ago
Harris Home Pest Control. It's in a yellow 1 gallon bottle at the Home Depot. It's safe for pets and humans but kills "any" bug. You can spray it in your house too. You don't spray it on the bug. You spray it on a surface. when it dries it leaves a residue and when a bug walks through it they die!
Just found one on my bed and one behind the heater, on my window is one thing but now im freaked out. how did you get rid of them what helps
Good vid man cheers for that! I shall be using this tip in Bonny Scotland.
The splitter is electric so you'll need a cord. Home Depot sells them. Around $300.00. Homelite or Ryobi 5 ton. It's nice cause you can split indoors.
Looking for a lil log splitter like what you have for just occasional use for splitting logs for backyard fires. any suggestions? and what kind of prices, not looking to break the bank if possible. thx
Haven't welded with it yet.. still have to buy all the tanks and wire. I bought a spoolmate 100 for the machine so that I can aluminum weld. need different gas. Also the welder I have uses straight co2 and the Millermatic uses a mix with Argon. I'll keep you posted..
I'm glad my Millermatic 140 door didn't get bent when I got mine, but this could be helpful in the future, thanks for that video(have you welded with yours yet? Maybe post a video or two?)
