Dead of night
No blinking necessary
When faith not by sight
Drops a dream on the heart strings
A dream. Not a vision caught by strings
Dancing round a circle as feathers hang low.
No. Not even a wish the heart makes
When you're fast asleep.
With memories so fleeting it's hard to repeat.

But oh what a different scene
An impression that carries a theme
Revolving around One thing
One Man with a sing-a-long-song
That sends ripples through rivers an eternity wide
What if God has not hung us for dry
Has not let river run dry
Still speaks in the nigh
Still speaks in this hour as hours before
Abraham. Given promise through dream from the Great I am
That He would father
No bother
When barren women beget promises
Isaac to Jacob. Promises. They live on.
A ladder descends with angels upon.
Now to Joseph, a dreamer of dreams not so popular.
But popularity wasn't rarity when ability to denounce ambiguity through divinity brought clarity
A dream. It steered the hands of Herod away from a newborn son with a Kingdom come that can't be undone.
We don't brush these visions off as vain imagination
When their history in scripture is a signpost from heaven
We're carried into a reality that releases strategy and begets destiny
We jump in this dream stream
Wade with our dream team
Next to our dream King
And we do the Martin Luther King thing

Because channels are sculpted by water pressure
And canyons are formed by the intercessor

Listen in for His voice booming like the sound of many waters
Or perhaps His "still, quiet" voice echoes even farther
Those still, quiet streams
Those still, quiet nights
When all through the house
Not a creature is stirring
Not even...
And then the pin drops to the floor
Like footsteps on the walkway
A knocking on the door
Dead of night.
Still no blinking necessary
When faith not by sight stands within inches
Saying "Come away with me"
So we roused from our slumber
To rest again in a movie of the mind
in full color.
