Price?
From research, on average it seems to cost around AUD $999 😅

I have both Harley Sportster and Indian Scout. The scout is way nicer on the highway with 100hp and 6 gears but it just can't handle the way the Sportster does. Plus the Harley just has a more visceral experience with the added vibration and carburetor.
@@partyguy9 I agree with the experience Harley’s give with the way they vibrate and the analog nature of the mechanicals (from my experience riding an 883 Iron 😇) but personally the Scout just felt a bit lighter and the power was incredible (even though it is ultimately a larger engine 😅) wish I could own both 😂

Some cop is going to watch this eventually, and you are going to get a ticket for each time you touched that bloody phone and for not having full control of the bike....( left hand waving around )
@@steveleadbeater yeah it’s pretty bad 😅 it’s because I was trying to scroll through my notes for the video as my filming window was quite limited but yeah hopefully in future videos I can do my reviews without needing to consult my phone as much 😊

Your government and the liberals in power especially within the environmental agency are why your bikes are being detuned so dramatically. They don't respect you and only want power over you. Take your country and liberty back! Stop electing these tyrants!

I dont understand why people dont put THE YEAR of the bike in the title fmd
@@bookydani apologies! It’s the 2019 model I believe, I have updated the title to include this now, I will update the other video titles a little later 😊
How is this compared with a street triple 660 lams bro
In terms of riding performance, I would say it’s about the same - linear power, sharp handling, decently comfortable 😊 design wise, it would subjective. Triumph is known for the bug eye design with their street triples and I certainly don’t hate it myself but I do like the design of the Trident a bit better with the single headlight and the rear fender design from factory 😊

*You think this is too much for a first bike, learner with all that tourque?* I am 6 foot 80kg? Only ridden a WR450 a few times around a farm.
I can only comment on the LAMS/restricted version, which I think should be fine for a learner who’s ridden a 450cc like the WR450 😊 from personal experience, prior to getting the MT07, I used to ride a 250cc bike, and when I jumped onto the MT07 it felt like night and day in terms of the torque and definitely caught me off guard at first, but I got used to it fairly quickly 😅 Because you’ve ridden something bigger than 250cc you should hopefully get used to the torque fairly quickly, but as always with any new bike always take it easy at first 😊 The LAMS version is decently torquey, so I can only imagine how the HO/non-restricted version feels 😅
@@jasondep I'm in OZ.. so will be a Lams version. Thanks for the feedback!

Your the ONLY one saying tranny isnt smooth? Is there somethin wrong with yours?
From memory it definitely didn't feel as smooth/clicky as I remember from riding a similar Street Triple 660, both are rental bikes by the way so it's possible it's only an issue on this particular example 😅
Its not a build up of oil. During manufacturing the tube was difficult assemble to the MAP sensor so the workers used a grease they shouldn't have to help. This grease dried out and blocked the hose and sensor causing the stalling. It has been resolved.
Ah okay, thanks for the clarification! My information was based off what I was reading from other riders on the Trident forums 😊

I have a new 2014 with 500 km... I cant run fast before 1.000. but the power is great, you really think this is a 1.000 cc with 150 hp !!!, in a very small and funny moto... also the yellow is really different. Is not for beginner, also I love the Quick Shifter, is cheap and you must have!!, FROM CHILE
Great to hear you're enjoying it! Safe riding out there and thank you for the comment 😄🙌

Not rly... its a nice bike but you can feel where did they cut costs. Suspension is spongy, brakes are bad. MT09 SP is the one to look for when it comes to yamaha.
Fair opinion 😊 Keep in mind this bike is aimed at the beginner/intermediate rider demographic where budget factors in (especially here in Australia where we have the LAMS/restricted versions of this bike) 😅 For me personally, as an all rounder bike that's great for commuting as well as going for a spirited ride, can't go wrong with it, not to mention the reliability (at least in my experience) 🙌 but definitely MT09 is also a cracker of a bike, I remember riding an MT09 for the first time and I did accidentally lift the front wheel ever so slightly during the initial hour or so of me riding 😂
@@jasondep don't get me wrong - build quality compared to price and fun factor compared to price on mt07 is great. Also it's a great bike for beginners, very easy to control and fun to ride on twisties. It's a pitty that for manufacturers small bike equals cutting down costs... It would be great to have that size of bike with better suspension and brakes... Also you have to consider I'm a weirdo in case of power - now I ride 2022 Tracer 9GT and I'm thinking of buying multistrada v4s because in just like that punch :)
@@mariankowalski6108 definitely agree about the brakes, the rear brakes in particular feel very spungy but I guess to your credit its most likely an area Yamaha cut cost a little 😅 and I definitely want to review a Ducati at some point 🙌

I just bought one, absolutely love it
Glad to hear! Be sure to check back in the future and let everyone know how your ownership experience has been like 😊 Happy and safe riding! 🙌
i have a 2022 with 500kms on it. i love the bike. im going to get it unlocked to 90hp shortly. one thing that drives me nuts about the bike is the old phantom gear sometimes which then causes issues once you get it back into first (from non existant gear) upshifting into second sometimes goes into N or back into the phantom gear. Once u engage it again your fine up and down.
Glad to hear you're loving it! I can imagine it will be even more of a hoot once you get it unlocked 🙌 Not too sure about the phantom gear issue (sounds similar to what I would call a "false neutral"), from my short experience I didn't encounter this issue, but it doesn't mean it's non-existent, hopefully you get it sorted, best I can suggest is to be really firm with your gear shifts and apply a bit more pressure with your foot 😅 Happy and safe riding!
@jasondep yeah that's the one. It effects the next gear change after u got it back in gear 🙄
Might be something to get checked by a mechanic if it's a persistent issue 😞 if anyone else is experiencing this issue hopefully they can shed some light on why it's happening 🙏
@jasondep honestly I think it might be due to not being hard enough on up shifts from time to time between 1st and second... however, it still shouldn't do it in my opinion by design. There is quite allot of complaints online from others and Honda says it is what it is. Unless anyone else has managed to get a fix from Honda like u said
Manually shifting I had the same issue, but started using the quick shifter 99% of the time and the problem is non-existent.
I’d move. Did they neuter the price as well? For what reason would they do such a thing. A lowered power motorcycle would suck
Price wise, used examples go for just under $10K AUD, but brand new it's around $14K AUD 😅 But yeah not sure why the full power version isn't brought here by itself, however in saying that from what I've found online, the engines are the same between the two versions and that the power deficit is purely electronic and the restricted model can be derestricted 😊
Good luck brother

I have a full system S&S (race only) on my interceptor. It’s amazing. The pops and crackles during deceleration is too much fun.
Definitely one of the best exhaust notes on the market 🙌
Do you have an ECU Remap and Performance air filter to go with it ?
@@adityasundar324 I don’t. Would be cool to get on that.
