Two Trees SK1 - Update firmware, Klipper, Moonraker and Fluidd/Mainsail (Manual)
In the last video I showed you the TwoTrees SK1 3D printer.
One big bad was the old firmware version of this 3D printer.

I stumbled with this model recently in aliexpress and was very suspicious of the price. It is half the price of the regular ender 3 in my local market. Seeing some reviews, definetely looks like it is not half the quality. Should be well worth the price for someone in a tight budget. Biggest issue really is the PSU, which I had the same in my original V1 ender 3 and died on me after 4 years. A replacement one is 50bucks locally, half the price of the entire printer, which is insane, still should be fine for using for a couple of years before failing it out, just pray it doesn't set things on fire or kills the logic board when it goes.

I havent watched the full video yet but i think two trees really missed the mark by not improving the SP5 aka the sapphire series of printer. They were actually very early to market with a 310mm x 310mm coreXY machine with linear rails. That printer only really needed a better print head and klipper adding and they could of been an early competitor to bambu and offering a large format machine. This printer seems to be exceptional at nothing.

Ive been using a standard Mk3 printer for about 5 or maybe even 6 years now and was looking to buy a new printer because of a thermistor problem (I figured i had the mk3 so long that getting a new mk4 was worth the expense instead of repairing). But seeing what the Mk4 has to offer has changed my mind, and I'll just repair the mk3. The Mk4 looks incredibly disappointing. I expected that Prusa would be innovators however it seems that they have completely ignored their bread and butter standard printer. It seems like all they did was put a nicer screen on a mk3 and make it print slightly faster. And fairly useless wifi. thats not worth $1100.

I have a mk3 which I'm not that keen on selling, and I want a printer that I can have turned on whilst watching TV or working on my computer about one or two meters away, which is a shame as that seems to throw the x1c out. So I thought I might begrudgingly upgrade to mk4, it's a couple hundred cheaper. My only problem with my mk3 and I'm not sure if they all have this, is if you print a big square that covers the print bed, the printed piece comes out a bit bowed. I just watched your previous video on the mk4, would you highly recommend against upgrading to mk4?

Good review! Bambulab surprised everyone with their printers, I think Prusa makes good equipment but they rested on their laurels, you can see that they hurriedly released the mk4 that they had in "development" to be able to be present in the new generation, but you can see that it was going to be a mk3+, they added some new features, but they were not polished for printer output. I think that no matter how good the printer is, the price does not seem right to me and it should be about 300-400 dollars cheaper, since in any case the p1s is a better option in almost every way. I think other companies knew how to adapt better to the new generation such as creality, flashforce, qidi, etc.

Super excited, as it's my first "current" printer ^-^ Also my first printer build in about 4 years. Currently have a Prusa Mini, but I got it used. Works great, but I'm interested in the newer features, and the nextruder. I plan on keeping the Mk4 for a long, long time. Doubt I'll do any Mk4s+.59 upgrades when they eventually come out though. The Mk4 in its current state should be enough to last me a while xD Though, I might get a MMU3. Unlikely. But I'd get that before any other upgrades.

This video explains it ua-cam.com/video/BA6gDep6jVM/v-deo.html I'd rather have the open-source design if I need to do repairs. Also you did not compare that the MMU3 does not poop and waste filament as much as the Bambu. I did all this with a new motherboard and it never gave me a steady HOME position, everytime I hitted HOME it moved right to the center but if I hit it again it moved like 10 mms. to the front and to the left so everytime I hitted HOME, no way to have a permanent HOME position besides the endstops switches inverted or not PHISICALLY OR IN FIRMWARE never stopped the motors from moving, replaced drivers, compiled firmware more than 50 times and never worked so I assumed it was a damaged board and I returned it. It was a Geeetech Spark mobo. I think this is the only video I have found someone doing a clear explanation of how it works, most of the super wise guys assume that you already know the very first steps and they are completeley wrong, what they call for begginers is really for mid wise knowledge intuitive people. Thank you.
