Thank you . I think it was a little Honda from the 1970's . It certainly made a great photo. The owner asked the Farmer and he said, yes, you can park in the pumpkin field.

That's what I think .There is a real enthusiasm about the R53 supercharged cooper s cars .Like you say, they are getting on now. Some are 22 years old.It is great that people get so much happiness and pride from looking after these cars.Thanks for your comment.

Sounds like great fun and great memories. It was worth it .I ,my brother and my friend had modified classic minis in the eighties,drove to Le Mans 24 hour a few times camping .Great roads in France .Also had a spaceframe racer with a Ford Cosworth BDA,now in Japan.I recently purchased a crash damaged F56 Cooper S .Mended it .It great. Thanks for the appreciation.😊

I think one or two members in the club have them. There are over two thousand mmbers , only 40 at this meet , but certainly they are not popular. Most people like to modify their cars and personalise them , which you can't do so easly with an electric car ; also the noise and character that combustion engine cars have , electric cars can't match. Hello New Zealand. They still have a great following and there remain many examples remaining , thanks to their continued popularity. I passed my driving test in the early eighties in a Mini and have fond memories of my brother , my friend and myself driving down through France, to Le Mans , together in our three modified Minis. I also remember a New Zealand Film , named, Goodbye Pork Pie , around 1980 , that featured a Mini , although I think the car came to a sad ending . Thanks for the comment.
