I'm not a musician. I just want to show you my homemade pvc sax. I self-learned playing for fun. You can easily challenge my music skill. But, I'm a very skillful mechanic and craftman. You can see from my product.

The reason it sounds like a clarinet it's because a clarinet has a straight bore and a saxophone has a conical one. Or cone shape bore

How do you replace the reed? Or do you just make a new.body?
I am using a regular mouthpiece and reed, so just replace a new reed when necessary, same doing as with a real saxophone.

He heat stretched the bell of that sax....made out of PVC, and he didn’t die. He’s got skills
People breath PVC fumes 12+ hours a day making the pipes. I did it before in the US and it was a horrible place. I think most is probably made in even worse places

Yes it does look like he has fitted a clarinet mouthpiece. Plastic saxophones are available and are more affordable than the traditional instruments that are usually too expensive for many folks.

How did you shape the bell?
its a bit late for me to comment, but the real reasosn why it sounds like a clarinet and not a saxophone is because it is mostly cylindrical, not conical like a saxophone. it needs to start off a much smaller diameter and gradually grow to the larger bore at the bell. with a cylindrical tube you only get every second pitch sounding in the overtones, which gives it the purer clarinet sound, whereas a conical tube changes the behaviour of the waveform and will alter the sound.

To be honest, you had to use a Saxaphone mouthpiece, you used a clarinet mouth piece. That's why it sounds like a clarinet
It's a alto saxophone mouthpiece. I've tried several types including Yamaha alto 4c. Do u think the weed will affect the sound? I'm using auto #2 juno weed - a very soft one.
It Sounds like a clarinet because it isn't brass and has a mostly cylindrical bore.

Hi Big Smoke, thanks for asking. It's a 1" cpvc tube, 1/8"(3mm) wall thickness. The adapter is a 1" => 3/4" reducer (cpvc type). Are you going to make one?
