      No, it's a really good blue. If you're seeing a purple shade it's due to differences in how monitors display colors. I always recommend ordering a sample prior to purchasing for your fire pit so you can see the color in person.

Make a video on different color combinations, that's how I found this video. I'm wanting opinions like, did a copper color make the flames appear wider? Broken glass seems to flicker better but is high maintenance. This is the information types I could really use right now considering the outrageous pricing of broken glass.

      Yes, Outland should have the air mixer already included in their fire bowl. You'll usually see this as an opening in the sides of the gas pipe feeding into the bottom of the bowl. You should be able to see it (it may have a screen covering it, or simply be some openings on the sides of the gas feed line).

    I have an ethanol tabletop fire feature which I've added glass to. Is there a certain epoxy or resin that I can use to keep the glass from shifting around and covering the fuel source?

    • @celestialfireglass

      Thanks for checking us out! Adding resin to hold the glass in place is a great idea to keep it out of the fuel source. We don't have any specific brand recommendations as we have not tested this ourselves. We recommend contacting the brands of epoxy/resin before buying and seeing if they have any heat limits.

    Thank you! I have a 55k btu table but I usually run on medium st most. How much will this impact run time?

    • @celestialfireglass
      @celestialfireglass 11 місяців тому

      Its hard to say how much it will impact your time as most burners only mention the maximum BTUs (55k). Without tools to test the BTU output at various settings there isn't really a way to determine your burners BTUs at different settings and calculate the expected run times. Your run time will be extended but by we can't say by how much. If you click the link in the bio you can see a list of run times of different burners we have and compare for an idea of how long yours may run.

    What size wind guard do I need for a 42 in fire pit. The opening is 23×7.5. Does or have to be bigger then that area?

    • @celestialfireglass
      @celestialfireglass Рік тому

      Hello Rumina, thanks for checking us out! It is recommended to have the wind guard 5" larger than the fire pit opening to give you 2.5" inches of space on each side between the burner area and the glass panels. This prevents the flames from making contact with the panels which can cause discoloration and even damage. For a 23" x 7.5" opening we would recommend a 28" x 12.5" wind guard. For more information on this check out this video we made on custom wind guards: ua-cam.com/video/aY7180KIPAU/v-deo.html

    Any tips if a leakage happens where the air mixer connects to the burner?

    • @celestialfireglass
      @celestialfireglass Рік тому

      Most likely if you are getting a leakage in the air mixer it is back flow and gas is coming out of the air intake holes. This will happen if there is a harsh turn or 90° elbow immediately after the air mixer. If the pressurized gas from the air mixer hits an elbow right after the air mixer you will have turbulence in the gas and some will flow out of the intake holes. We strongly recommend leaving the female fitting (if yours comes with one) on the air mixer to provide space between the air mixer itself and the burner connections. 2" or so between the air mixer and any harsh bends or 90° elbows should prevent turbulence.

    • @loganhumphreytxre
      @loganhumphreytxre Місяць тому

      @@celestialfireglass I see now see why I was supposed to leave the female fitting. The bottom of my pan lit up on fire today due to a leak and it was too close to the pan. Luckily I watched it happen.

    Can these be dropped into a wood/bambo outdoor table?

    • @celestialfireglass
      @celestialfireglass Рік тому

      We recommend using granite, concrete, or some other fire safe material for the table top surface. The supports and sides can be wooden though as the heat and flames will not be touching them. We have had customers use wood for the tabletop surface successfully with these following precautions: 1. Make the cut out for the pan 1" larger than the drop in portion. So on this 36" x 12" pan make your opening 37" x 13". This will give your pan 1/2" on each side in case there is expansion due to heat. 2. Add our flame guard to your burner pan. Adding this will protect your table from winds tossing the flame onto the wooden table top. 3. Limit how much fire glass is in your burner pan. If there is too much glass over the burner pan it can disrupt the gas flow from the burner and cause the flame to burn closer to the edge of the pan and the wooden table. We recommend using just enough fire glass to cover the burner so it is no longer visible but no more than a thin layer. 4. Use the burner carefully. If you are having strong winds it may be best to turn the flame down to keep it controlled and safely within the burner pan. Sometimes it's better to have a smaller safe flame than a large unruly one. if you have any other questions our tech support team will be happy to help over the phone or email!

    If the pan is 12” by 36” with 1.25” lip, how could the overall dimension be 12.5” by 38.5”? Isn’t it 14.5 by 38.5? What am I missing?

      Great catch Armen! You are correct that the overall dimensions are 38.5" x 14.5". It appears that Mike misspoke and gave the wrong number for that measurement and somehow that snuck by our editor in post production. We will let our editors know and see if we can fix this!

      hi I have a burner kit like the one you are using here as an example. I'm trying to build a circular fire pit within an iron 67cm bowl. I have cut and welded the connector to the iron bowl and I am concerned about heat generation from the pit melting or damaging the supplied rubber pipe as it seems the connections and pipe under the pit get very hot.within say 10 mins... Any advise you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am also finding it hard to find standard gas QCC type 1 bottles here in Bali Indonesia. Seem all the gas bottles have different standard/ type connector to tank with safety value ( inner ball-bearing) that shuts of the gas as yoy turn higher? Question: Do I need a converter or different system. hope you can help.

    Thanks for the great info Joey! Going to upgrade and restore my rusted out 10" fiberglass pit. They said it was stainless but turned to a pile of rust after only 2 seasons of use.
