We all know this is wrong but causing a drop even to the rate of increase in house price rises for any reason at all, anywhere in the world, will see a government decimated at the polls. Houses are obscenely expensive and it's getting worse at a faster and faster pace but people who've already got a house won't accept controls in price under any circumstances. A lot of these builders have ins with inspectors. When I purchased new in TN, I was told a home inspection was OPTIONAL on new homes…. So if the contractors are in good with the code state inspectors a buyer could be screwed. I’ve seen new constructions here in TN that have passed code and even home inspections that have clear major issues. I’m not sure what some of these inspectors are even going when they come out.

How about inspections??? Usually before the builder gives you the house it has to be cleared by state inspectors ... if it is not good then the inspector didn't do his job and should be reliable for things not being up to code!
