This only happened when calling the phone on the left using the phone on the right. We tried calling it using other phones, using the right one to call other phones, nothing. The problem was fixed soon after this too, so it's not happening anymore. If by chance you have any idea how this happened or how it's possible (something gone awry at the phone switch?), please let me know!

Your script has an advantage to type starting from center when it's center-aligned, while, typewriter effect always writes from left to right, ignoring the (paragraph) alignment. Is there any way to make it more fluid with added micro fade-in as in the typewriter effect?

AMAZING. Do you know how to type in reverse so it deletes backwards from the end of the sentence?
Apparently there's a Typewriter effect built-in to After Effects. I didn't know it existed at the time I made this video. I'd recommend using that instead, you have a lot more control by using keyframes. (just search "Typewriter" in the Effects & Presets window.) If you still want to use the expression, you can do this: toShow = "your text here" text.sourceText = (0, -4 * time + toShow.length) You can change -4 to a bigger or smaller number to make it faster or slower, just keep it a negative number.

You could do the following: text.sourceText = toShow.substring(0, toShow.length - time*5) Like the video, the "5" there represents the speed and can be replaced with any number.

While this trick still works, I've found a much easier way to do this since making this video: use the Typewriter effect in the Effects & Presets panel!
