My review of the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical
Having owned the Auto version of this Watch I was delighted when I got the chance to borrow this from a UK based Watch retailer. “The Watch Trend” let me have this for a couple of weeks for me to review on the channel. Head over to their site now to see some awesome deals on hot watches.

Bulova Lunar Pilot Review - Better than a Moonswatch? You decide!
Переглядів 639Рік тому
The Moonswatch has been the biggest hype watch of 2022, but why buy it when you can get a Bulova Lunar Pilot that has a way better spec and is readily available online, rather than having to chance a Swatch boutique that you have to travel miles to not knowing if you will leave with one? The Lunar Pilot has real “Moonwatch” credentials, and is a spec monster!

I thought the “why you should buy one now” point would be that they finally sorted out the date window issue with the movement. Anyway, great watch review for a great watch

It truly is a piece of copy cat junk. But I bought the SLAP! Batman version. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but it’s a satirical comment on copycat watches, Rolex hype and fun link to the 60’s Batman tv show (I’m old enough to say I watched it first time around!). Swapped the terrible band for a cheap oyster style. Didn’t pay much for it. Maybe I’m a fool 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had one and the date wheel would get stuck between dates (well known problem on the Rolex forum). After sending it to Tudor three times for repair, they were never able to fix it. Eventually my warranty ran out and I got stuck with a lemon. Total waste of money with a useless warranty. I then bought a Longines and it's perfect.

A 2 tone gold watch is special and meant to be noticed and warn on special occasions…. adding a polished look to the gold bits adds to the look. I would choose Rolex for this reason. I also like the white indices better on the Rolex, the bubbled date window as well as the bezel. For me, Rolex is the better looking piece by far. However, if cost is something to think about…. the tudor does offer a good piece for the money. I am currently trying to decide between the 2 tone Sub or Sea Dweller for myself. I currently own a stainless Sea Dweller but feel as I get older the Sub may be a better choice. My wrists are shrinking but to me… the Sub still feels a bit to feminine on my wrist! Lol

thanks for the review. I like your points on the dimensions and wearability. Small wrister who has always dreamd about owning it but was scared. For reference, how does it wear relative to the Black Bay GMT? I am unable to comfortably wear the GMT but I think the Chrono is a bit slimmer and wears better because of better case elements and less slab. Is that right?

If your wrist is 7inches or more then it would be fine but if less then the long clasp and big lug to lug would make it too hideous and uncomfortable

Recommended to try it sized to your wrist, that way you can really feel how the watch sits on your wrist or worst sit at one side of your wrist when you wiggle it abit 😅 Its a little bit thicker and top heavy for me that is why I sold it. Other than that its a great watch.

While I respect your opinion and it is always wise to make purchases which offer the most value for the dollar, I can't agree with a $329.99 San Martin watch being higher quality than arguably the highest quality GMT on the market.

Great review! Totally agree with your assessment. Worth noting that only a minute proportion of technical divers go deeper than 200m. Lots of people gripe about the depth rating of the Pelagos 39, and as a recreational diver I have no idea why. I absolutely love my Pelagos 39 (although I mostly dive with a dive computer anyway).

I own this exact watch - and it is my go anywhere, do anything watch. I absolutely LOVE it. I'd give it a 10 out of 10 for design! They may have stolen the design, but it is a brilliant one. And no longer in production. Steinhartt, in general, represent an amazing value for the price. Absolutely amazing.

Despite all bad reviews out there I decided to buy my first Timex just for daily “wear”. I got this one but the red/black version. I think it looks great! Not the best quality but it shows time/date accurately. I only got it for the price and looks. I had a gift card on Amazon I got from friends so the watch cost me 60 dollars so if it breaks it’s not a big deal.

I have a few GMTs in my collection as I do a lot of travel. I find that the Tudor BB GMT get about equal wrist time on trips as the Mido Oceanstar GMT which can be had for less than $1,000 on the gray market. I am not sure what that is in British Pesos, but it is an incredible value. 😜

I’ve worn one of these for the last year or so and it is fantastic. I will say I had trouble with it initially as it felt a bit heavy compared to my last watch. Having persevered with it now I would not swap it. Timekeeping is perfect it is robust and capable and I don’t have to worry about it. This is a true classic and at mid 2022 prices an absolute bargain. If you are considering this watch do yourself a favour and get it bought.

I’ve had mine for just over 3 years now and it has barely left my wrist. It’s on all day every day, in bed, in the shower, working in the garden and there’s barely a scratch on it. Hasn’t missed a beat the whole time, keeps time to around a couple of seconds per day. Wouldn’t swap it for anything. Everyone harps on about the thickness, you literally don’t notice it. The bottom of the case has a bevel on it so it looks smaller on the wrist than it is.
