My nephew just met him when they played in Florida a few weeks ago. Got him coming out of the locker room yelled it was my birthday 3 days ago and Turner turned around and signed his jersey. And then set me a picture of it because he knows he's my favorite baseball player. I was so jealous and I cried I printed the picture out and now I have a magnet of my nephew and Trea Turner on my refrigerator. ❤️❤️❤️

I'm going to take the odd stance that Nike screwed everything up for the season. Not even because of the sweat problem but the unnecessary and downright bad changes that were made to the iconic Braves Unis. Someone decided it was a good idea to change the sleeves piping removing the strip of white at the end to now look like a Phillies jersey sleeve but even that wasn't the worst dumb ass change. They decided to change those great looking alternate road jerseys by turning the white/silver piping red which makes them look like spring training unis are so bad the Braves have only used them twice all season. They also for some reason removed the iconic and very unique piping on their away belt loops. Luckily they left them on the homes (which im sure the front office made clear that wasn't going anywhere. They are the only team in baseball to pay such attention to the belt loops and it's gorgeous. I really hope they fix it back for 2025

I have been watching baseball for 30 years and yet I have never seen a team so decimated by injuries let alone my favorite team. What has happened in this 2024 season for the Braves has left many speechless. If you come into a season and lose the odds on favorite to win the Cy Young a week into the season and the unanimous MVP not long after to any team that should seem like a death sentence and something they can't recover from let alone the constant trail of injured players we;ve seen since, yet the Braves despite all odds are still holding a playoff spot and by no means are out of the division. That shows the toughness of this teams. Just look at the list of elite players who have missed time for the Braves this year. - Spencer Strider - Out for Season - Ronald Acuna Jr - Out for Season - Austin Riley - Last 40 games of the season (at least)(he also missed 10 games earlier this year) - Ozzie Albies - Nearly 2 Months - Michael Harris - Nearly 2 Months - AJ Minter - Out for Season - Max Fried - Nearly a month - Reynaldo Lopez - A Month - Travis d'arnaud - Over a week and counting - Jorge Soler - Over a week and counting Currently they have 3 All-Stars missing from their offense (Acuna, Riley & Albies) plus d' Arnaud. Because of it Soler has had to come back to early and hobbled yet they just won yet another series against the Phillies. Which makes 3 on the year. To hear it from Phillies fans the Phillies are best team the world has ever seen lol yet what do you know they are 3-6 against the Braves so far this year and despite all of the injuries with a lineup including 3 players who were recently released by other teams they still took 2 of 3 from the Phillies and in all actuality should have swept them. Bringing the once double digit lead in the division down to 5. Yet all you hear from Phillies fans is them being cocky saying it's the regular season, wait until October. As much as I would love to keep the division winning streak going if winning it means a first round bye again than let the Phillies have it. Let them see how screwed up the new format is for once. Instead of the Braves having to sit around and get rusty for a week while the Phillies gain momentum beating an easier team in the first round and take that momentum into the next series. The Braves have dominated them in the regular season and they don't just forget how to hit, in baseball timing is everything and that is why unlike other sports players who miss time go back to the minors to play a few games to get their timing back. Baseball is different than other major sports in that unlike Basketball, football, soccer, hockey the person throwing/passing the ball/puck to you isn't on your team and doesn't want you to get it. It's pretty clear the days off as a reward is anything but. Let the Phillies have it and let them see what it's like (that is unless the NL West and Central winners have better records than I want the Braves to win the division. The crazy thing is even with the insane number of injuries they have suffered and the weird slow start in home runs to the season the Braves have now hit the 2nd most home runs in the NL so far this year. Unlike years past this years team actually has a great starting rotation so at least Braves fans wont be forced to watch Bryce Elder get the ball for a pivotal game 3 again.

I saw Trea at a grocery store in D.C. in 2018. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, and how I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I’m a Phillies fan and I saw trea out at a store too. He was very kind and nice and respectful to all the fans who were coming up to him. He even paid for one ladies order. Didn’t ghost one fan. Funny how certain fan bases get treated differently by players. I wonder why????? Lmao who am I kidding we all know why because Philly had the greatest fans in the world for all sports. If you play your heart out for us then we will always be there for you. If your tired just look to the stands and you will see thousands upon thousands of people willing to help carry you to the finish line. That’s the love athletes feel here in Philly.

I am a Mets fan; I was too familiar with how great Trea Turner is. I remember this sequence of events but had never seen any footage of it. After that painful interview he conducted - and you could see he was suffering, you could have all the money in the world and suffer - followed by the ovations and him absorbing the electricity and returning to himself...I actually cried. Human moments make the game. For the Mets it was Wilmer Flores weeping and then winning a game with a walkoff. This was very, very special..

Oh look it’s the terrible philly fans, the fans that have no love, the fans that don’t care, the fans that are the worst in all of sports, the fans that don’t have your back, the fans that are impossible to play for. That’s what the media and everyone who isn’t philly doesn’t understand and never will. We love and care more than anyone. We don’t boo cause we hate you, we boo cause we know you can be better. You give us your all and we’ll love you to the day you die. You give up on our city and we’ll hate u every time you show your face. Some players get it and some don’t. Theirs a reason why the players that get it, never want to leave philly.

This was truly something different. I used to watch baseball when I was a kid. Didn’t get back in until phils got into the wildcard. I’m a die hard eagles fan but just fell off with baseball overall. Would came was crazy. I watched most of the 2023 szn. And I watched the game with his error. Then watched post game like I would normally do that year and so forth. But the second I saw him take credit for the loss I went right to social media saying to “give him the bohm treatment.” And with the help of everyone they did it. Truly fell in love with the game that day. “Baseball is a wonderful game” -Rob Thomson. Now as of 6/29/24, hope Walker, Turnbull, Kyle and harp are back as soon as they can. I love this place!

He was so in his head about playing well with his contract and just him being a superstar he had put too much pressure on his shoulders. He wanted to show he was worth the money and his value and he became a bad player. The standing ovations told him "hey we understand you're down, but we need you. forget about the contract and forget about being a superstar be you and play your game of ball. We want you to succeed and we see the hard work you're putting in to be better now get out there and play your game." He held himself accountable and was putting in the work we can't be upset about that. That's what we want from our guys

I'll never forget all the trash that Muts fans on The SBNation Muts blog "AmazinAvenue"..going on and on that The Braves were 'done', that they are going 'cruise' to The Playoffs as NL East Champs.....at the end of May! Granted they had a 10 game lead..however 4 months of baseball still to play. These Braves were the defending NL East AND World Series Champs. "Printing" your NL East banners...in late May....served Muts Nation right. As the year progressed and The Braves started chipping into The Muts lead....Muts fans (like some WHACKJOB named "Synderguard's Lunch") cried like a WHINY LITTLE B!TCHHH...saying 'why cant The Braves just let us enjoy our season...The Braves are cheaters'. When this weekend series started...Muts fans on that blog were saying 'all we have to do is win one..and we are NL East Champs...NO WAY were The Muts going to get swept..after all, they had their 3 best starting pitchers lined up to face The Braves. Even Stevie 'Hedge Fund Fraudster' Cohen cant buy The Muts a NL East title anytime soon.
