Listening to this at the summit of Cadillac Mountain at sunrise this morning. FHNSAB

So sad to hear about the corps. In the summer of 2004 I was at Drum Major Academy camp in Westchester. Cadets came down on the last day to run part of their show for us but there was a torrential downpour that night. So we all stuffed into the auditorium there, genuinely filled to the rafters, most of us soaked to the bone, including most of the Cadets. The whole corps was on stage playing for us and it was an absolutely cacophonous blast! We were hollering and cheering. Then Jay was called to stage and conducted this piece^ and every single soul in that place was suddenly so silent. At the end I could feel tears welling up and heard the sniffles of the other aspiring drum majors standing shoulder to shoulder with me. I could see the glint of tears on a mellophone player's cheek. It was truly, genuinely, one of the most moving couple of minutes of my entire life and I was sharing it with entirely strangers. I'll treasure that memory forever.
One of my favorite John Williams’ pieces

Here after the folding of the corps. Just here to say this was one of my favorite moments in my entire life and the most magical moment of this one season I got to march. Thank you Cadets. FHNSAB
Miss you Jay.... Thanks for the menories!
One of the best. Love the slow pace 😢 until 2024
Wow. We did this my senior year.. 21 years ago.. my god I'm old.
Switch over to women RAINBOWBOY!
The feels
this man is legendary!!! also, this season our band is doing his arrangement of phantom of the opera pieces and it sounds amazing!!!
Hmmm. Seems a bit cruel for those who've been carrying the entire group, don't you think??
What do you mean?
they fr just played some random bach excerpts
Wow! Goosebumps and tears! Great conducting and sound!!
I would love to hear this group on bugles. The 83 version was more powerful.
I got to see Cadets once in 2022 and it was during semis cuz OC finals had already ended and oh my god am I livid I didn’t get to see them sooner
Lmao Loren having to tell them to go to low
Omg listen to those mellos.
DM's hair <3
media team breaking thru the hornline 😂
gotta do what you gotta do
I literally could not hold myself back from crying for some reason
I didn't hear this when I was in the lot with them, earlier this season. Awesome at 0:37
Singing your part is so fun
Bocook still has that magic touch. I've always had such a high admiration and respect for this musical genius. I had the honor and privilege marching under his direction at Travelers Rest High School and Furman University. He truly inspires his students to be the very best.
This show definitely deserved better than 6th place imo
Honestly I would’ve gave it 5th possibly even 4th tho idk cuz crown was insane
So clean!
more direction changes in this clip than the rest of the top 6 combined
Too dope, too clean
FEET FEET FEET!!!!
CMON FEET
you always post literally the best sounding videos 🔥🔥
🔥

*And algorithm picked up!*
Its nice to see a director who doesn't conduct like a small person.

Needs more ballet.....
God this chart has always been a favorite of mine, in such quality!
Did it always sound this jazzy? (the first half)
This is superb! Thank you, God, for giving me ears. Thank you, Cadets...for filling them with things such as this!
Is this going to be in the 2022 show?
this was in the 2021 show

That guy had the loudest high notes. Did he age out?
@@UbuntuBanksiewho was he?
No idea
I marched with BK in 2019 when Jay Bocook was still with us. He conducted us through one of our corps songs, “Away,” at semis, and that remains one of the more beautiful memories I have of that season. He was so nice and passionate as a person/conductor, and really brought out the emotion in a piece that is already so moving as it is. Truly a legend!
Holy Allah and Buddha!
Bruh this got me crying before my 8am class. So glad I could perform with this hornline.
