Carpenter/boring bees are in fact, pollinators. They will also make swiss cheese out of exposed wood costing homeowners who are barely hanging on, tens of thousands of dollars in repairs. Don't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins.

Never use a pressure washer on your siding

Not saying that cleaner does, but most chemical cleaners like that make vinyl brittle and faded

You don't need caulk.

Wasps and hornets actually eat meat so a better bait would be a piece of chicken. You would have less bycatch that way. You can use sugar water, but that's typically just if you want to pre-season the hornets before you eat them.

You can also use a socket that would fit down on it. It's what i've always used was a socket

Haha I made one of those years ago.... just took a grinder to a socket I have multiple of. I made a whole set from.small to holy crap (44mm) so that I don't have to deal with trying to set them

Make them 2 install hangers for drop ceilings

They make a socket for this for 3 decades

I work at a assembly plant and my job was awful until I found this underground tech called Phillips head. Thing makes putting in screws a breeze.

This is fantastic. I do this with my meat. (I break up the chicken two thighs a piece instead in whole packs. I do this with bacon too. It's better to thaw in cold water. It is just as fast, and won't cook the meat.

I store hundreds of pounds of meat every year. I use a vaccine sealer in 2to3 lb. pkgs. its. usually elk or moose and doesn't cost me nearly as much

Thats how i do it too, but I just use regular storage bags and flatten it. Warm water to defrost in three minutes. Not hot so it doesnt start cooking.

I have been doing this for a couple years now so much faster to thaw and you can fit so much more in ur freezer

I I do the same thing brother except I store it in 2 lb increments and I don't use the vacuum sealer I put it in gallon size freezer bags

Hey that is really smart idea I would totally try that. But here is some unsolicited advice don’t put it under hot water It will start the cooking process early and may make you sick. But I believe it is OK to just cook it frozen whenever you’re cooking. Have a great day.

"Passive pollinators" You just described alot of bee species... they are collecting to make jelly, honey and wax... I'm pretty sure they don't think about pollination for the sake of pollinating, without getting something out of it for themselves; i.e. nectar, sugar, etc.

Something that too many people seem to not understand, is that humans are part of the animal kingdom. We are a part of the natural environment and circle of life, having just as much right to the environment, and establishing a home/territory. That we also have a right to protect. Just as any other living creature would protect their dens/nests/territory. People controlling pests on their own property, using small scale methods like this will not cause any real harm to the population of these bees. Its the big corporations, spraying miles and miles of chemicals that do the real damage. I wonder how people feel about other animals that wipe out entire nests, litters, and colonies of smaller animals to take over their burrows? The bumble bee is a real jerk about stealing the nests of small rodents. Even going as far as killing the babies that cant run away from the stings. And yellow jackets are even bigger jerks. Every living being on this planet, has a place in the circle of life. And every living being lives at the detriment of another. If that makes sense? Humans are not unique in this, and its crazy that so many still think we are. As if were some alien species that just randomly appeared from another universe. Anyway, sorry for the long rambling comment. But i do need to also mention, that what you described of the carpenter bees, is describing exactly what pollinators are, and what they do. All of them. Not one insect pollinates for the sake of spreading pollen. It's to feed themselves and/or their young. They collect pollen by accident while drinking nectar, or they collect pollen on purpose to take with them. And during this process, they unintentionally spread the pollen to other flowers.
