Salam alaykom, you know, I was thinking about he original comment of the sister who said women don't do this, they don't go up to scholars and say I need to get married, true, but what women do do, unlike men, is talk to each other and say the same things. We have something special in sisterhood, that does not seem to be there for brothers, that is sad isn't it? So, yes, that is perfectly fine. Voicing what is in the mind, and asking for advice is good ma'sha Allah. Women also have their mothers to go to, and men don't seem able often to ask their fathers.

MashaAllah TabarkAllah, so well spoken. If we try, Allah will surely bless us, but we need to show Him that we are serious about what we ask of Him. Whenever I have done my best, even when it seemed very unlikely that my dua would come true, such as due to lack of time, Wallahi Allah made it happen for me. On the other hand, even when I had time but I didn't put in enough effort, I didn't try enough and just made dua (and my dua itself felt lacking because my heart knew I wasn't doing what I can) Allah still helped me, but the outcome was not what I know I could of gotten from my Lord if I had truly tried. Allah is Most Generous, but He also wants to see us try for Him.

May Allah raise Shaykh in the highest rank in jannatul firdaus. Aamiin
