It sure is a beautiful view!
Such a beautiful piece of God's Creation for sure!
I had an underground root fire from burning a stump once. Luckily it choked when the ground collapsed around it.
Double duty
I had an underground root fire from burning a stump before. Luckily it choked itself out when the ground collapsed around it. 🤐
Oh that's wild. The ground saved the day.
Stump grinders are actually pretty fun to use when they have nice new teeth. The clean up not so much
I agree! Put on some good music and go to work! Thanks for watching!
Why the stump hatred
@@george2113 hahaha no hate just don't have a use for them lol. Thanks for watching.
@@george2113 I got paid to remove them when I did tree work. Majority of people didnt mind them they just wanted them cut as low to the ground as we could.
@@johno1544 yeah it all depends on what you want to do with that area of the yard. I want less things to mow around.
Starts so good, Bruce Campbell would use it to fight an army of darkness. 😏
@@projectswithjw The best tool for the job.
Why not just dump the stone on the mulch? It’s clearly accessible
@@numba1killa886 I didn't want the dump truck to leave ruts in the yard
@@SeriouslyStumpd smart especially if the ground is wet
6” of mulch stops most grass/weeds from getting through
That's a fact
We had River Rock in our flower beds for about 5 years. Pulling weeds from the river rock is a lot more difficult. It took about 2 hours to weed the river rock and weeding the mulch takes about 30 minutes.
I'll have to be diligent with the weed killer 💪
@@SeriouslyStumpd I picked up a trick from Old Farmers that sprayed a mixture of rock salt, white vinegar, and water to keep absolutely anything from growing around their machine attachments... zreo plant life will grow where of you spray it for about a year and there's no crazy chemicals.
@@-KIMISAFOXohhh that's good stuff! Thanks for watching
I ordered the SM-32, along with the trailer and the ramp loading kit. Had the mill almost complete when the trailer showed up and then found out I had to disassemble everything I had just done to bolt on the trailer. No assembly instructions for the trailer, so I tried to contact the company. I was told there was no manual and that they were revising it. Several hours later, I received a pdf copy ...of the 30 pages, I found errors on at least 15: bolts called out in the sections that were not in the master part list at the end of the manual, nor were they shipped; the side plates depicted (copied from the Woodland Mills manual) do not match the plates shipped; they reference a torque spec but it's nowhere in the manual ... and it just goes on. Received the ramp kit a few days later. The flimsy box was broken at both ends. So disgusted I took pictures, sent to the company, and tossed the whole thing aside for over a week. Finally opened it tonight... NO wench / cable, no hardware, and no instructions. I deeply regret this purchase and hope this saves someone else the same nightmare.😠
@@jamesscott8094as a owner of the SM-32, I have had zero complaints. The mill is awesome and the instruction manual PDF that I have for it is top notch. I must say that I do not own the ramp kit or the trailer. I would add, that I am confident, that if you give them a chance to make things right that they will. Your feedback is valued and will for sure help them fix the manual for the future if you provide it to them. I'm sorry to hear that your situation has been less than ideal. I'd just advise giving them a chance to mitigate your concerns.
Kinda like in Jaws... "We're gonna need a bigger tarp"
@@christopherchabluk4040 hahahah that's a good one!
I'm trying to understand why you didn't just have him dump it on the mulch. My brain is doing backflips right now.... the grass?? Big deal. Grass grows back...... 🤷♂️🤦
Not trying to put you in a conundrum lol. The last time we had a heavy load delivered through that area of the yard, the dump truck left 6-in ruts that took forever to get squared away after. Thanks for watching.
Pro tip? More like common sense!
@@collinkane8673 thanks for watching! Not for everyone.
I thought that was self explanatory but apparently not to everyone, lol
@@collinkane8673 not for everyone! Thanks for watching.
Im so high why wouldnt you just straight up drop it on dah mulch am I stupid
@@Boydgraud definitely not stupid. I just didn't want the dump truck to leave giant ruts in the yard.
Save yourself a job and take the truck to the black, the grass will grow back 😅
@@Senior666 The grass definitely would grow back, but that dump truck would have left some serious ruts in the yard that I didn't feel like dealing with
@@SeriouslyStumpd fare enough dude, 3 tonnes of that type..must of been one hell of a day!
@@Senior666 if it ain't hard to do, is it worth doing? Ha. Yea it was quite the project.
I have my own tip that I would add to that. Get a bigger tarp next time.
@@stevenobrien3722 hahaha very valid. Thanks for watching.
Put weeds straight into a bin bag or bucket, throwing them on the lawn only spreads their seeds
@@sandraallen4142 that's a good tip. Thank you for watching. My whole lawn is weeds for the time being.
When I was younger we had mulch delivered and I thought to do the same thing. My dad almost killed me. Made it impossible to scrape the shovel under and get the mulch in the barrels.
What I've found is that if you get down to where the shovel is hitting the tarp then you likely have the weight down to where you can drag the tarp. Then you can just pull it into place and dump it right where you need it. That method doesn't work so well with rocks but the tractor knocked it out.
@@SeriouslyStumpd I just always work from side to side not from top to bottom.. my shovel scrapes the ground every time.
@@NickC-Ohio makes sense. If you have some stall mats around those would allow you to use the shovel side to side or top to bottom haha.
about the furthest thing from a pro tip lol
@@michaelprislovsky4037 thanks for watching!
If a professional (not saying he is) does it, and relays it as a tip, it's a pro tip You also don't need to be a professional to learn a pro tip lmao Or a professional to share what you learn Stay mad, I guess. For whatever reason you're like that

Happy wife, happy life... Behind every good man is a good woman... A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle... _So where's the praise for men?_ I'm so tired of seeing this self-flagellation, grounded in feminist misandry. Why not "happy husband, happy family"..?

Well, talk about timing! We just bought 22 acres if woods in South Carolina. (Currently we're in a suburb in North Carolina). I was all in on the Woodland Mills, but stumbled across this video. Now you have me thinking. For just a few hundred more, I could get one of these with a wider cut, bigger engine AND electric start! I'm 72, so that's a real nice to have! I'll be watching your channel to see if you post any updates before I'm ready to buy. Thanks for putting this together. Cheers!
@@willphelps6715 Wow! That is perfect timing for sure. I am glad that you now know there are other great options out there. I will soon start on building my sawmill shed to get it all covered up which will include some extra milling content for sure. So far, I've milled a bunch of 2x4s and 1x6 planks that I used to build a boardwalk (videos are on the channel). All in all, this machine is a beast and I couldn't be happier. The electric start is definitely a must. Let me know if you have any questions.
