@ most of my bikes were a bit naff. I had a jealous frenemy who would scratch them when they were new as well! I got into the racer fad with a Raleigh Scorpio but the gears were unreliable. @@paulmartin4971for your front wheel you need an oil cover clip. I don't know where you'll get on from, Josh B might have one
@@dealermike1331 IHi Mike I've already got one looks the part, will be a complete project soon cheers 🥂 😎
I've been proper cracking on lol 😂
Not sure about the decal mate .. I think an old classic sticker ?!!.. or leave it as it is !!
@@JimTimber Hi Andy I'm not sure about the shifter decal myself but for now have put an old gold one I've had knocking about on and it don't look bad it will do for now lol 😂 have a great Sunday Andy cheers 🥂
Cheers mate 🍻
Ha ha ! ..this time next year Rodders.. we'll be millionaires ! 🤣😂 .. I love 'Only Fools And Horses' ..I bought the box set !! lol That is a cool 'Landy' mate ... I wish I could afford a real one !! lol You've done a great job on the bikes Paul bro !! The blue Grifter is coming along sweet !! ..that's an awesome amount of bikes bro.. my cousin Roz had an RSW 14 !! ..would have been from the mid 1960's because she was five years older than me ..and I'm talking about 1970's when we were mucking about together then.. I used to stay at my Uncles and my cousin Rosalind looked after me.. anywaywhichoo.. I was offered that bike .. but I already had a third hand Raleigh 20.. or 'Shopper' that my Auntie gave me for Christmas.. all these bikes ..I wish I had them now !! You have a wonderful workshop of classics there Paul bro !.. 'Keeping Legends Alive !!'
@@JimTimber Yes Andy I'm just working me way through only fools again still makes me laugh out loud lol 😂 I really think that blue Grifter is going to be a stunner, I've just bought a new project today that I'm very pleased with lol 😂 is Roz still about? Have a great Sunday mate blessings to you and Jimmy cheers 🥂
Lov the latest chopper paul I think it will look great clearcoated I know it's not the norm for you as you like them immaculate. But this one has something about it that says it should be left to show its life. Another brilliant video and take care buddy.
@@LeeFradley Hi Lee yes mate spot on! It's got something about it hasn't it and I absolutely love it! Not much to do on it now and job done, hope all OK with you, I'm putting a short out tomorrow on another new project, thanks always for viewing and commenting cheers 🥂
Hi Paul, another great video and good to hear my name mentioned again. I really think metal flake would be cool for a 1970's bike. The Honda CB 750 from 1969 and into the 70's had a metal flake colour called sunrise orange. I also think Kawasaki made their Superbikes of the 70's in metal flake colours. Have a look at Honda sunrise orange. Its the sort of thing that was around in the Evel Knievel era. Keep up the great videos and have a good weekend. Jerry
@@jerrysmith2133 Hi Jerry always a pleasure!! I've just had a look at sunrise orange and will add it to my list of possibles thanks for the suggestion, funnily enough I was looking at orange metal flake paint on ebay and it looks cool 😎I remember evel kenivel well but went off him cos he always used to crash, I need to act soon with this paint before it gets too cold ❄️, How's that lambretta coming along? Always good to hear from you and have a great weekend cheers 🥂
Its not me with a Lambretta but I have had a Lambretta GP200 and GP125 in the past!. I've got a Honda Monkey 125 and a Kawasaki KV75 from 1978 at the moment. Yes, Evel Knievel crashed all the time. I think he broke just about every bone in his body! I loved the 1970's Evel stunt bike toy.
@jerrysmith2133 Hi Jerry sorry I've got it mixed up again!! I'd better look back at my comments, I do remember the evel kenivel toy I never had one but I did have a go of someone else's I thought it was really good, just remembered it's Eric that's got the lambretta sorry for my forgetfulness cheers 🥂
Roland looks good. 👍 You're getting into Dealer Mike territory. 🙂 Little bit of wind noise in this video but i think I understood what you were trying to say. 😅 20:45
@@gingerphil Hi Phil as you know I'm not into the Rat 🐀 look but this Bike was too good to leave and it came in under budget!! Am going to clean it up just a bit more then clear coat it, am very pleased with it as you've probably gathered lol 😂 only a bit of wind noise today, wasn't really pleased with that one at all lol 😂 Will try and do better on Sunday, Have you still got your Grifter? What colour was it again? Mk2 wasn't it? Cheers 🥂
@paulmartin4971 It'll was a red stars & stripes mk2. I sold it back in January, I wouldn't mind another one but I'd never ride it. I have around 10 bikes which is plenty. 😁
@@gingerphil Lol 😂 Cool 😎 make sure you watch my short tomorrow cheers 🥂
Definitely Donald duck in that garden... 😂
@dealermike1331 lol 😂 Dealer
Love the Chopper, great find. I would leave the gear cover plate as is until you could find one with an older decal or maybe make a new one look old. For the other Chopper frame I would paint it the old Jag E-Type colour gun metal grey metallic.
@@gregpetterson Hi Greg thanks for the comment, yes that Chopper is a great find I love it even the chain wasn't seized, That gear console I've had a closer look at it and it's had something spilt on it like glue or something and it's not coming off so like you said will wait for an aged one to come up but have put an old gold decal on for now and it don't look bad, Will make a note of your colour choice very interesting! The etype is one of my all time favourite cars especially the mk3 5.3 V12 thanks for viewing and have a great weekend cheers 🥂
@@paulmartin4971 Yes the old Jags were great British cars. Loved your very detailed analyzation of the bike, was really interesting👍
@gregpetterson Hi Greg thanks for that I know I kept going on about it but am over the moon about that bike, Another favourite car of mine is the Jensen Interceptor mk 3 love it!! Cheers 🥂
@@paulmartin4971 Another iconic car👍
Glad to hear all is well Paul bro !.. that new project looks awesome !! I can't wait to see the bike restored back to its former glory !! ..superb !! Cheers mate 🍻
@@JimTimber Hi Andy very nice to hear from you as usual, I won't be fully restoring this one just cleaning it up a tad as its in such good original condition I absolutely love it, full video out Friday, blessings to you and Jimmy cheers 🥂 😎
@@paulmartin4971 I'll keep an eye out mate.. awesome project !! 🍻
Where do you find all these Choppers? 😄
@@gingerphil Lol 😂 Phil you are not going to believe how good this one really is!! I love it, video out Friday and I'll let you into a little secret...... New project pickup next sat morning..... Watch out for the UA-cam short on Sunday morning lol 😂 cheers 🥂 😎
Do I take it the sissy bar was free,if so you were very very lucky.
@@timmellor6685 Hi mate thanks for the comment, yes the sissy bar was free lol 😂 I ended up selling this bike but not before restoring it, Ended up doing another infa red to replace it, I don't tend to buy choppers now with stuck sissy bars as there a nightmare if this sort of thing interests you new video out Friday have got loads going on cheers 🥂
Thank you for the reply, yes I'm into my choppers,I have 14 in total,4 mk2's mk4's and the rest are mk3's. The MK2's 1x fizzy lemon fully restored,1 x prismatic being restored as we speak,( just waiting for chroming to be done) and I have a silver and space blue awaiting restoration and yes including the prismatic all 3 sissy bars are stuck- I did the prismatic in tact, just another 2 to go.......
@@timmellor6685 Hi mate yes them sissy bars are a nightmare especially for me being 6'5" lol 😂 if I'm going to even attempt to ride a chopper the seat and handle bars have to be set high..... That's what I like about my new project featured tomorrow but this one is only getting a clean and clear coat as its too original and quite a rare bike, you reminded me I did have a mk3 ultra violet quite a while ago now but didn't keep it long, so that means I've had 15 choppers in total 14 mk 2's of which I sold 4 because of stuck sissy bars lol 😂 have a great day and will be uploading video Friday morning cheers 🥂
@@timmellor6685 Hi mate where do you get your chromeing done and what are the prices like? As I need a front wheel, set of handlebars and rear mudguard sorting out!!?? Cheers 🥂
@paulmartin4971 I get it done at a place in Walsall called howles.
