Hey I have a question. I found a 16" Westinghouse fan at a thrift store it works it's in rough shape. I learned it has Mecarta blades is that easy to clean. The want $45. For it. But do not want to buy it if I cannot clean the blades. It looks like some took a ink pin to the blades.

I have been interested in vintage fans for several years now. I have 3. But noticed they are hard to find. Running or not people want too much money for the none working ones. But it is an interesting hobby. I always get excited when I see one because they are few and far between.

I use cake icing bags. You're able to squeeze the grease in those hard tonreqch spots.

I have one of those fans too, but mine is missing the badge on the front grill. Any ideas where I can find one? I know these big Whirl-Aires are extremely rare fans.

I seen astro turf once on a base instead of felt lol. So the switch is mounted to the base? I’ve not taken apart a westy yet. Is a tank (1909-10) that way too?
