If you don’t want to be someone’s naggy, miserable mom in a relationship, don’t take on that role yourself. Zanab cast herself as superior, contemptuous, hypercritical, all relationship killers. Cole is immature and struggles with filters/communication and grown proper domestic habits, but he’s 25 - she’s 31. Cole needs to grow the eff up, but Zanab needs a personality overhaul. I feel for her trauma and her abandonment/self-esteem issues from losing her parents and other experiences, but that doesn’t excuse her gaslighting and the way she treated him. Total textbook 4 horsemen behaviour (Gottman) in those two. What Zanab did to him at the altar was needlessly cruel, she stayed with him for the plot when she should’ve had the grace to be the grown up and early on call it by acknowledging they are just at very different life stages with different needs. Most people have at some point dated someone less mature than them, you don’t get to treat them like garbage just because they have things to learn. Human beings deserve basic respect.

I’m at the point 50% of everything is better than nothing. Keep in mind I’m his 3rd marriage yet his previous wives walked away with nothing bc they wanted to get the hell away from him so badly. Call her what ever you want. She's got abnormal muscle density for a female, abnormal body fat for a female, abnormal speed, and abnormal power. She's got way more testosterone. If one of her opponents used testosterone replacement to match Imane's level, it would be illegal. She's not even a really good boxer but bullies all the normal women with her power. Your point number 2 should have been first. Gaslighting is specifically meant to confuse the target and to have them doubt reality or their own experiences. And _then_ introduce your point number 1: they do this to gain power and control, and to manipulate the perception and erode the confidence of the target or bystanders. The first component is a key factor for a relational dynamic to meet the definition of "gaslighting".

I just finished watching season 3, OMG it was terrible how they treated Coal at the reunion. I really do not like zaynab. Brennon is a simp and yes man. Nancy is deflecting the hurt she has for bartise and hating Coal for it.

Why do you think she had no emotion, no empathy when Cole cried when he said he was sorry at the reunion? Because she is a sick person, literally. Think about how atrocious she was at the wedding ceremony. Think about how much malice and venom one must have to play such a theater until the last moment and then to crush that person and look into their eyes rejoicing in the pain of the one in front of you. And all of this comes from a script she has constructed in her mind parallel to reality. She is obsessively paranoid. I feel sorry for Cole and for any man who will enter into a relationship with this woman.

She is so needy and manipulative. She keeps creating situations and arguments as a test to make him prove how much he loves her. When he pushes back, she backs down and does a little sleight of hand (“don’t look so good when I’m mad at you”). And talking about what she didn’t sign up for, when they were in the pods she didn’t say “I’m needy and clingy and cry when I drink.” There’s PLENTY that he didn’t sign up for. And her little game of “MGK’s wife or girlfriend…” Yeah we see what you’re doing. He’s not in for a happy or equal partnership. I think she should stay away from relationships and get a couple of years of therapy in. She’d probably be a lot happier. Men are attracted to confidence and it seems that’s something she lacks.

God that was horrible!! She’s a sociopath, poor Cole. I have a 26 year old son. I feel he’s still so vulnerable. I would hate for him to be in the situation Cole was. I’m just so glad she didn’t marry him. I hope he’s in a better place.

I am disagreeable when it comes to work as I work in an all male industry being the lone female I have to appear to be agreeable, but underneath I am highly disagreeable because I have to work within the patriarchy, you have to know when to step forward and step back, winning the battles as opposed to waging war.

I was very pleased a year later that zanab said she was in therapy, she really needs help with her insecurities. I know what its like to hear something innocent as very negative and then become horrible and you can fix it with time but you have to see how you are the aggressor and not the victim most of the time, its a hard truth to learn..

I really respect the Lead Attorney that can make the funniest jokes which could be considered racist if anyone else made the same joke. Then he will commentate on a legal occurrance seriously, correctly and completely free of bias of any kind. That is how the Lead Attorney Comes across to me.

Happy update: Cole seems to be happy now in a healthy relationship with a girl that doesn’t talk down to him every chance she gets and….. Zanab still seems to be single (surprise surprise! 😭)

Zanab really did the fck shit to Cole poor guy! She condescended him the entire series and then waited until the alter to unload on him!

I used to think Zanab was totally to blame, but re-watching the season, Cole did say some mean things. He was too immature for her. They were just incompatible. She was awful @ the wedding and reunion though. He made it pretty clear that he wasn't really attracted to her and she felt that.

When he made the comparison between Colleen calling her a 10 and Zanab a 9, that was wrong, and the conversation by the pool was distasteful, but I believe many of the other things were misinterpreted. At that point she was out for blood and had set out to gaslight him and get revenge after that. The tangerine incident was a normal conversation that happens all the time before dinner. Glad she said no. Even her g'ma felt bad for him.

Virtually every breakdown I've seen of this "cuties" episode has bent over backward to try to establish her mental issues and the role they play in her behavior but I have to wonder, if the roles were exactly reversed, whether Cole would be receiving the same deference and wiggle room as Zanab is. Something tells me that, if it were the guy gaslighting and manipulating HER, he'd just be portrayed as "The A-hole." Period.

Brennon is such a lapdog for Alexa and only does shit to please her. She runs the show and he just follows the lead. Everything Brennon knows about Cole is from Zanab's pov and then the fact that Cole tells him "what you've heard" and then Brennon gets defensive and says "no, what I know" I wanted to slap Brennon. He was not in that relationship, he would never KNOW unless he was in the relationship with Cole & Zanab. It makes me sick how much Alexa & Brennon laughed at Cole the entire reunion makes me sick to my stomach. Very very immature. Cole handled that conversation very maturely, he just took it. If Cole was truly this person that Zanab made him out to be, he would have gotten defensive and angry. Instead he was always confused and always apologizing. That should tell you something right there. Cole is the bigger person. He deserves better. He was never the bad guy, Zanab was.

Two seasons in a row (3 and 4) where horrible women treat incredible men like garbage, and the hosts/cast barely give them any trouble for it. Check how the men get roasted for not feeling it 100% for one of the girls and they applaud and uplift the girl like they’re a princess and blah blah, then this happens and it’s okay and somehow justified. It’s not it.

Wth do ppl expect anyone to say back to their father in law in a family environment where hes clearly joking. It would be weird to say anything but laugh it off because at the end of the day you love your spouse and you go to bed at night with them, not your father in law. I also think its normal for a spouse to side with their significant other. They chose each other because they clearly agree on much
