One of my favorite bike rides! It’s like being on a personal roller coaster with the ups, downs and curves. The climb to the lighthouse is worth the effort Created with the #GoPro App on my iPhone.
Nature Minute 61: Juvenile Red tailed Hawk
Переглядів 2716 годин тому
This hawk, in our neighbor's tree, appears to be calling to be fed. Other hawks are still around - probably the parents. We've seen this one fly, so I wonder how much longer before it decides to hunt on its own. I've read that they can do this for weeks... Yikes! #redtailedhawk #redtailedhawks #redtail #sonyrx10iv

You were at my school
I went there too- a long time ago 😊
That is an amazing amount of new pinecones on that tree!
I thought so too. I couldn’t tell though until I zoomed in.
Especially fascinating to me, because we had a pair of coyotes frequenting our field for several weeks during what we were told was mating season. Now we're back to one at a time.
Whoa- that one really got to me. Simply beautiful, heartwarming. Love you, Chris.
The camera is catching wonderful nature for us! Thank you!
Nice! My Dad and I sometimes used the larvae for bait when we we're trout fishing. We always called them periwinkles, and until seeing this I never knew what they grew into!
Helo ❤
Great video clip!! //KD
Отличный сюжет!

Love hearing these in the neighborhood 😊
Such a lovely video, beautiful birds and stunning scenery 😊👏👏👏
Thanks!
Wow, so beautiful ❤❤
Thank you!
Brief hawk sighting at 1:45? James verified
Cool! I’ll have to take a closer look.
Poooor Kermit!
I think the reflection in the water was almost prettier than the boats 😁
Chris, is this the school where you work?
It is one of many.
Hey Chris, isn’t this up at the Hoh? Looks familiar. Nice video
No, this is at the North Shore of Quinault. Thanks!
3 seconds? Leave your audience wanting more!
As usual Chris, wonderful video!
Thank you!
So Cool!!! i love the slow motion. so beautiful to see the water rolling off of the bird. And what funny motions he/she makes. And I'm glad you showed what the prize treat was!
More please 😀
Yeah, no. James thinks it’s pretty cool though
Wow Chris, hope you got it down with no issues!!
Yes. The stick was very long and there was only the one hornet.
As usual Chris beautiful photography!!
Beautiful footage Chris!
Thank you.
If you look closely, you can see this hawk has a short, but brown and tan striped tail, and not a long grey tail like a Cooper's Hawk has. This is actually a juvenile Red Tailed Hawk! And nice video of this hawk eating its prey!
Thanks for the feedback. I see now what you are saying.
Love it! So fun to get the video with music and messages. Merry Christmas Chris and Lisa!
That makes me happy! So great!
Well done. Beautiful voice.

Beautiful Chris. Thanks for sharing!
You remind us there’s so much beauty in our neighborhood if we only take a look. Thank you, Chris. And I liked seeing the videographer this time!😊
What beauty; your winter wonderland, the musical accompaniment. So many different birds! Plus Mr. T as commanding as usual. Loved it, Chris.
