Doesn’t get better than this !!!
I love Jimmy Duck what he do on a acoustic guitar its mind blowing ! A true Bluesman !
THE Mount Olympus of the Hill Country Blues Gods!
Absolutely fantastic! THE Wolfman groove is DIVINE! And seeing R.L. and T-Model F. on the background having a good time is such a bliss!
Wish I could meet a old bluesman. Those guys are my heros. Especially in The deep South
The legendary Mr Robert wolfman Belfort is part of that Mississippi Hill country Blues mob like I always say there's only one Mississippi and they got the musicians to prove it 🎸🎶
When was this filmed???
Saw him in Norwich UK 🇬🇧 once … very nice humble gentleman of the blues
I just recently discovered him, and I would have LOVED to have danced to his stuff at the Juke Joint Fest.
Thank you. I was there that day and this brings back rich memories.
That's just your opinion no more no less.
Open G tuning is fun as hell. I play exactly the way Keith Richards does in Open G tuning and plucking off the top string. Though, you can't play in keys lower than G2, but you can get your way around that.
Sort of Jorma K like... related I think. Delicious, pure Americana
👏👏👍👍🥇🥇
whos that idiot blocking the camera?😤
I always like listening Robert, That's R L Boyce in the cowboy hat and T-Model Ford next to him and me next to T-Model when the video first start. I can't remember the guy name in the black hat but know of him. I also still have the photo of T-Model and I that was taken.. That was so much fun. Thanks for sharing. RIL Robert & T-Model.
Why Porkchop have to stand in the way? 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏾♂️
I miss you my friend. Rest in peace; and job well done, Wolf. 🐺🍻✌🏽
Awesome
The Good Times Are Killing Me!
Is this Mrs Breaux singing?
There’s Royalty on that stage my friends!
Where is wolf man from? My first time hearing him.
He was born and raised in Red Banks, Mississippi and moved to Memphis, where he spent the remaining years of his life.✌🏽
As a musician that covers this song, this was outstanding! Guitar tuned down to B and playing in that minor key....he just killed it. I've never heard a version of Smokestack lightning like this and probably never will again. This gentlemen is/was a gem to the art. I will have to look into more of his music.
Is is standard tuning moved down to B? Trying to play it for myself!
@@theslideslinger open g tuned down 5 steps
@@patrickbluesguitarhes not playing in open G here, he playing in standard tuning tuned down to C or C#
This is so great! See Mama Ynez by Xavier Cugat from the 1930s for the inspiration.
:-)
I think this is actually my favorite take on Wolf's classic besides the original itself. It's played in a vastly different style than the original, which makes it fresh.
What year was this concert?
Like this guy alot. The drummer needs some rhythm lessons though.
Legendary
“Buy me a case of beer and a hooker and I’ll show you everything I know “- I just wanted to know what tuning he was in at the time
T Model Ford and RL Boyce drinking Jack and hittin on the white women!
Gotta love them stanky' coochie white girls!😈😂👍👅👃🐍
They say t model had 26 kids! No pull out!
@@douglaspaterson5269 I thought it was just the ones I dealt with.
@@Bey11ktb ?????
wow - all the giants in the background O_O
This is better than Viagra...
I think I see T Model Ford in the background there, talking to the woman in white up against that wall there. Must've been a helluva show.
That's right!
Yep that’s me next to T-Model and R L Boyce on the other side of T-Model.
PV
What tuning is Gabe in? Open D? Thanks.
It's standard, my friend. But tuned a step or two low. God bless!
+Gabriel Carter Thanks, bro. I enjoy your playing. Went thru Bentonia last spring. Somebody's fixing up Jack Owens old place. Good to see it.
Gabriel Carter Huge fan!!! Killing it in this! Also what mic is that it’s been racking my brain trying to figure out what it is!
Bad ass blues man here.
Last of the Great ones.....
R.I.P Uncle Page, aka Robert "Wofman" Belfour you're going to be missed..... But your music will live on forever....
La Shawn, I'm so sorry for you loss. I never knew the man, only met him once. But he made an Australian boy, very happy, when he traveled to Clarksdale Mississippi. Bless his soul. Enjoy the video, all. The Man can play.
Your uncle was amazing! 🔥😎🔥💯🔥😎🔥
Amen.
Clarksdale...same place on the cover of this EP. www.cdbaby.com/cd/mistersippy

There's blues performers, there's blues artists, but this dude is truly a BLUESMAN.
Wow what a great tune. Love the guitar licks a shitload, but reckon the delay on the vocals is awesome too. Don't stop doing what you're doing brother.
what a great video !! robert belfour is amazing ! and in the back there is t model ford and rl boyce having a good time !! thanks for share !! cheers !!
but it sounds amazing
Jeeeez. My favorite living blues man. SO GOOD!! You NEED his music.
@MrManoizquierda thank you, I'll take your word!
this song is called Wanna go to heaven
