why you don't wear what is in your closet part 2

I wanted to share a little more about how I get the most out of my clothes. The prices of alteration can carry widely but I paid $35-40 to get the waist taken in on pants and skirts, $60 to get the coat done, and usually $25 for hemming. Feel free to comment if you have any questions, I am happy to answer them. my other stuff poshmark.com/closet/honeymanj jamie.honeyman?...

I don’t like facebook but I do like facebook marketplace. I wanted to share my method for finding beautiful vintage pieces without spending a ton. Shoutout to @wasselpa she’s my interior design inspiration. I made a step by step guide for how I clean out my closet. I do this process every few months and it helps me stay inspired by my wardrobe. poshmark.com/closet/honeymanj jamie.honeyman?igshid=MWI4MTIyMDE=
Im obsessed with Facebook marketplace. It’s actually kind of hard to find other people who are into it
it’s not a Lou Hodges, it’s in his style though!
Absolutely love a girl with great taste!!
I really appreciate that you RESTORE the pieces you find, rather than covering up their beauty with paint (hate that!)!! 😊 Also, your staging + photography is gorgeous!! 👌
thank you so much!!
Great work! Love the vintage glass tables.
Where can i find where you sell them? 😍
I’m currently only selling on fb marketplace. But I just started an Etsy store so I can list some of the smaller items online🧡I’ll add it to the description.
Ohhh the lily lamp. I cry!!! Awesome finds <3
I adore all of the furniture and decor pieces you found! I also love your white pants! Where did you get them from?
Thank you so much! I thrifted the pants too😊the tag says bryn walker
@@jamiehoneyman I thrift almost all of my clothes but haven’t been lucky enough to find pants like them. Thank you!!
Really love your content and your relaxed style of presentation. Your home - esp. your fireplace - is such a gem! It’s safe to say that Paige has really influenced my interior design preferences over the past year too, in that she’s helped me realize what my unique taste is and made me conscious of things I like/dislike in interior design generally (which now I can’t help but analyze every home I see, haha) Almost all my favorite things in my home are from Facebook Marketplace… the best! Loved your tip on saving dimensions of items/spaces in your notes. So smart.
I can't believe you only have 703 subscribers. You thrift like a PRO!!! Those pieces are so cool. I can tell you thrift for your own personal style. Also, I love your living room. :)
Thank you💚💚
Great! Would love watching more videos of your outfits and specially one on styling those Red pants, they are amazing! 🤩 thank u
STOP THE BIKINI WITH THE PANTS SLAY
I am dying I’ve been there for almost every item
Always thrifting😏 the jacket looks AMAZINGGGG
❤THRIFT QUEEN ❤
Loooooove it❤
I love your style 🤍
I also love watching thrift hauls! Thanks for sharing
Thank you this was very helpful!!! I like how calm you are and nonjudgemental; SOME videos like this make me feel bad for not having a 30 piece wardrobe but I like to keep stuff. I still have stuff from like middle school because even if I don't like it for a few years, a lot of trends come around and taste changes so I like to box that stuff away and when I find it it's like getting new stuff :) that way you don't contribute to more consumption! and if you still want to part ways there's more options too, for the crafty people up cycling or re using can be really good; I have a bunch of childhood t-shirts that aren't really nice enough to give away, but I want to make a big patchwork blanket to cozy up in :) I tend to get really attached to my clothes so I like to have them around and there's so many creative ways to do that. Also I really really struggle finding a personal style so that makes decluttering even more difficult cause I just don't know what I want (yet). But I feel like this video gave me a really good starting point!!! hehe anyways have a good one :)) ps. sorry for writing so much!!! I am a ramble-y person
You went through a lot of clothes! The only confusion part for me was going through all seasons at once.
Where do you get the animal print pants? Thanks.
They are from rat & boa
@@jamiehoneyman thanks:)
Finally! Yes! Right! Love it! Sanity! Can you video a session with your alterist and talk about how to approach bringing a haul for alterations?! it’s awkward! New sub and really appreciate your content!
That’s a great idea thank you! If you’re trying out a new tailor I would recommend only bringing one item at first just to make sure it’s tailored properly and then bring in more!
Lol, sanity! Do you sew?
Omg… i freaking love your content ❤Paige is my inspiration as well 🎉🎉
Would love to know your deciding process
I am planning to talk about this in part 3🌞
This is probably the first closet declutter vid I have seen that encourages reflection on the impact of our consumer habits. You should be a published author! 🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
thank you that’s so kind🧡🧡
Thank you. You have a beautiful calmness about you. From South Africa
Hi Jamie....I have the opposite of you...35 1/2 hip and 32 inch waist...as you get older...your waist gets bigger.....which totally sucks. You may want to address this for women that are older and need altering as well.
New subscriber! Love this video!! I started having items altered when I realised there was no point on decluttering something of good quality, good texture... now I cant stop wearing those pieces. Extreme decluttering can feed more consume and shopping, in the end. It's important, as you say, finding a good profesional 🧵🪡 would love to see your capsule for spring. Congrats and greetings from Spain! 😊
Your alterations on the trousers really look great.
Loved this! If you don't mind me asking, where did you find your clothing racks? They're perfect!
Of course! it’s from Amazon it’s called the IRIS USA Clothing Rack, Clothes Rack with Wood Shelf, Freestanding Clothing Rack
@@jamiehoneyman thank you so much!! ❤️
@@jamiehoneyman i was going to ask about this and also ask about the purse with oranges in the background - i love it!
Happy Birthday Moxie!
Its your calm voice ! 🥰
Really loved this video, i love your collection of bottoms, it's actually super hard for me to find good jeans, trousers and skirts, because they're either too large in the waist or too short, big bum, big thighs kinda gal lol so happy to see i'm not the only one
Thank you! I knew I couldn’t be the only one with this dilemma🌞
Same here…
Where did you buy the piece of elastic that you use for cropping your shirts? I know that sounds straight forward but I have no idea where I would buy 1 piece of elastic aha
I live close to a joanns fabric store so I got mine there. if you ask where you can find elastic by the yard they usually have a few rolls that you can buy a piece from! Small fabric stores usually sell it too🌞
@@jamiehoneyman Thank you! I might stop by a Joanns this spring then!
I like your approach and it's a very relaxing video to watch, love, subscribing! :) I love content that keeps remotivating me to keep refining my wardrobe.
thank you!! I want to continue the series so let me know if there’s anything specific you need help with🌞
WHEW...too many clothes😅
Don’t sell the glasses!
I couldn’t bring myself to do it anyways lol! I think I’ll just save them for parties😉
amé todos los tipsss
Love your outfits♥️
Where is the blue cardigan you´re wearing from?
That one is vintage by a brand called malo!
You did such a good job, I love the way you edited the video
Great job. Thanks for the inspiration to keep declutterig.
