On my way to Fayetteville I took a sideswipe through Baxter because I liked this song so much. Evidently in the past there was some lead mining going on there, and it affected the settlement patterns of its citizens. That is, the more money you had, the farther you lived from the mine. Lead contamination might explain some of the behaviors described in this song!😂

Believe it or not, this song has been on repeat for pretty much all of 2023. And so far, all of 2024. I can't relate to the lyrics on a literal sense as I wasn't a child in the 60s.
