Enjoyed this. I think I have HS but it’s 95% on my neck and beard area and it really started at age 33. I started an outdoor job and I think the sweating and my eczema and dry skin I’ve always had just got worse when I itched it repeatedly. Started getting crazy painful nodules to boils that turned into abscesses that I would get drained at urgent care a few times and just get prescribed a week of antibiotics. I had a problem with dandruff and got medical shampoo once that I mostly used, but when I saw a dermatologist for the first time he prescribed it again and bactrum cream with an antibiotic for my abscesses I was having that were mostly lanced off earlier. Then of course months later I had it again on my neck and went to urgent care and they gave me mupirocen and another antibiotic and since then (along with hibiclens I forgot to mention) I’ve done pretty well. I still sometimes get a bump but put the mupirocen on it and clean sit with hibiclens and it mostly does ok, but now I have another on my neck and it’s holding but it’s not going away just yet. I try to treat it before it gets more swollen and painful.
Oh wow🤩 I am 42 and have EBS-loc. This past spring, my skin seems to be finding a way to expel all this extra skin that has been trapped by keratin aggregates all my life. It’s like exploding itchiness. I need to come see Dr. Lavery! Go Gators!!🍎🐊 ‘04 and ‘05

This is a very socially useful video which raises many important points and themes and discusses them in a relatable and honest way. It should be more widely viewed. It is a difficult personal story to hear at times. However, as much as anything, it tells me that social attitudes need to change. Many, many people have different types of alopecia. More than you'd think, but as Laura says many are just too anxious to reveal their 'true' selves in public for fear of standing out in a negative way. This is an indictment of society's unwillingness to accept difference. There is nothing ugly or weird about not having hair on your head. Well done Laura for sharing your story.
thank you for your story. It is very moving and helpful to people going through similar experiences. My teen daughter has AA and my hart breaks for her all the time. She is doing well and in her case it is still manageable, but with AA you just never know.... There are good treatment options now available, one being Olumient JAK inhibitor. I watched many stories of people who were able to use it to their success.
Atopic dermatitis has always been a challenge for me, but thanks to Planet Ayurveda, I've finally found relief. Their herbal remedies are truly amazing, and my skin has never felt this healthy. If you're looking for a natural solution, Planet Ayurveda's treatments are the way to go.
