This is a very socially useful video which raises many important points and themes and discusses them in a relatable and honest way. It should be more widely viewed. It is a difficult personal story to hear at times. However, as much as anything, it tells me that social attitudes need to change. Many, many people have different types of alopecia. More than you'd think, but as Laura says many are just too anxious to reveal their 'true' selves in public for fear of standing out in a negative way. This is an indictment of society's unwillingness to accept difference. There is nothing ugly or weird about not having hair on your head. Well done Laura for sharing your story.

thank you for your story. It is very moving and helpful to people going through similar experiences. My teen daughter has AA and my hart breaks for her all the time. She is doing well and in her case it is still manageable, but with AA you just never know.... There are good treatment options now available, one being Olumient JAK inhibitor.
