G-Body El Camino Electric Fuel Pump Swap
Needed a fuel system for a 79 El Camino LS swap. A few modifications to a Holley electric fuel pump did the trick for this G body LS swap project.

Is one of them lines return because I’m doing a LS swap. I have a 81 caballero 3.8 L V6. You think I can put this in my tank?
Hi! There is no return line required with this fuel pump. I think that makes it easy to do LS swaps. The other line is for a vent. I use the same vent that is on differentials for this. Yes, you can put this in your tank if you do similar modifications as shown in the video. Another option is to purchase an electric fuel pump for a 1986 El Camino, (Some of them came fuel injected) and swap out the fuel pump motor with a higher GPM one?
@@bobbyjc8457 oh ok so I just buy the 86 Monte Carlo sending unit and it will fit?
I think the 86 Monte Carlo sending unit will have to be modified like the Holley one in the video. I remember having trouble finding an El Camino sending unit with fuel pump. That’s why I made a video of modifying a Holley pump. After the video, someone commented, “there is an El Camino electric pump that can be purchased”. I’m not sure from where it can be purchased?@@papergatorzfedducca7998
@@bobbyjc8457 ok thank you!!! And thanks for the video!!!
Is one of them lines return????
Gonna be swapping an 81 el camino. Was gonna get an 85 efi tank. But was wondering how well fuel level sensor worked for you?
Can I use my cutlass gas tank and but electric fuel pump in
How did you modified it to fit the tank ?
Would u recommend adding a extra fan to keep car cool on a 80 el Camino or it’s normal
I love what you did. Good video!
Wondering why it has two hard lines. What connect the other one if its internally regulated.
That’s a good question. Not sure why Holley put a return line on this pump seeing as it is internally regulated. I just left the rubber cap on the other one, and I made sure to have a modern day gas cap so the fuel tank can vent.
@@bobbyjc8457 the other port is the vent. According to Holly's website.
What part number is that from and would it fit my 83 Buick Regal ?

Did you cancel your mechanic fuel pump ?
@@sergioalbarran3882 Yes, I’m doing an LS swap.
I have one more question would it work for my carburetor ?
No, it’s meant for fuel injection which runs at a higher PSI than carburetors.
