Live Aid Four edited pieces - from MTV
Переглядів 3133 роки тому
The month before Live Aid, our company, Image West in Burbank, created multiple interstitials for the MTV broadcast of Live Aid. I recorded these off the air on 1/2" as a record of what we did at the time. What I remember was that there were several of these, by many famous people...actors, philosophers, writers, etc. Here are four of them. I do remember when Sally Fields came to our studio to ...

This video was created in 1984: by Denise Gallant. I was at Rene Daalder's home studio in Hollywood, working on Supertramp's Brother Where Are You Bound video, movie when David Storrs walked in with this music piece. I loved it. I don't know where the moon footage camera from - maybe Rene had it. The video synth graphics were outtakes that I had created for the Supertramp video. Luckily the 'po...

Henry Fonda Reads The Grapes of Wrath
Sharing's good, sharing's fine But no one wants to share this world of mine Is dull, dark and grey And no one wants to find the way to my front door is always open to you Hey now life, give me a break For much more of this I cannot Take me to a far off place Where there's no rich or poor And every house has got an ever open door I want to find my direction I want my love and affection Yes I'm needing it more and more I want to find my own answers it's time I knew what my plans were I'm going to find out what I'm looking for I'm gonna take all my chances Gonna make my advances Gonna see what my life has in store I've got a feeling inside me I'll put the past way behind me Pick myself up from the floor I want my sun in the morning Want my friends to come calling I'll keep a welcome outside my door Songwriters: Richard Davies Ever Open Door lyrics
First Blood spotted actor Chris Mulkey further down the cast. Respect Chris. David Gilmore on axe aka guitar. Great album. Ever Open Door. Yer think?
I saw Snail open for & play backup for Phoebe Snow at the Catalyst! It was FABULOUS
Blast from the way back!‼️
This was my favorite song when I was doing my skateboarding freestyle moves. I would skate for hours with this song. I still have it on 8-Track.
I'm in love with this...I could have been n love with it in 10th grade,,tho it turns out it's now I fell in love with it...how strange
Man...Whiskey A Go-Go? Its hust ridiculous in the legendary performances in rock history
The actual reality of a All Out Nuclear War? Imo? Was at its biggest height fr 1977-83. Especially 79-83, there was like a 39-42% chance "it was gonna happen" These idiots in power actually thought "there could be a winner," in such a war.
The image sequence with the communist imagry amd the theme of nuclear warfare stunns me every time.

Kevin, you SANG on "No Obligation"? Who is Challenge Cook? Did I ever meet him?
Kevin and Denise! Thank you for posting this song! I LOVE this song!
What ever happened to these guys? They have a Great Sound 🎸👍 I remember finding out about them in Tucson in the late 70's 😎✌️🎸
I still have the EP Great band
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of their time.
Note: This is 2024. I just realized three of these people died. Glad I got them at that time. It was Roger Linn's project - The idea was to shoot Dave Smith, as he was not going to be at NAMM for an award.
"Itch" is copyright Rin Eric and Kevin Monahan.
If you could only see the beautiful brown but sparkling troubadour costume in COLOR!
This whole album is an unsung masterpiece.
I never noticed it before! I once lamented that the band didn't wear stage clothes, but having watched the different videos of FX, I suddenly noticed that Dave ALWAYS wears that same blue shirt, Doug ALWAYS wears a black T-shirt, Evan ALWAYS wears a black shirt with jeans, and Kevin ALWAYS wears a white shirt, and yes, V always wears that sexy black dress!
Chido el video me gusta
Con esta canción me lleno de vitalidad,me acuerdo de mis gloriosos dias de secundaria ❤❤❤
great guitar work
Love snail but why would you massacre the best part of the original song by not playing the guitar solo how it originally was? Didn’t even resemble it, and sorry to at….not into it.
This is in a way... freaky...
Vengo de tik kot de la chica y su real
Thank you for making this documentary
My FAVORITE male Quartet Gospel groups of all time!😊💙S.I.P. to those who passed on.

Cool City! Go Donnie!
brilliant masterpiece!
Such a Joy
Thank you. Fascinating
Here from Suburban Lawn's Janitor!
This band is tight. Great musicians and, of course, Sue.
5 cameras and they only managed to get maybe 15 seconds of the drummer? couldn't even tell if it was Donny Baldwin or not.
Congratulations, if you are watching this you are a true synth nerd.
Bravissimi, con un suono unico... Le tracce di Giappone si sente 💞
When I first saw the SP1200, I knew right away that was gonna be one of the major Hip Hop machines
Wacky and fun; thank you, early 1980s❤
Interesting. They missed the real peak. All places that were super cool got destroyed by their success. In '68 & '69 it was mellow; an Anchor Steam (the original, not today's swill), a great lunch, a special performance. Once you're famous outside of town "mellow" is f'd. Our "culture" isn't culture. Look it up. "Culture" is a share religion. "Popular culture" is the worship of self or nothing at all. In the '60s a lot of us thought we were a culture. That was very foolish. Our error has been used as one of the useful templates for corrupting the present. Just my opinion... I've wrong before ;-)
I had never known the lyrics to who's your mother who's your father until the last week when I started binging on suburban lawns
Thank God for James B Davis 🙏❤️🙏
I saw these guys in around 2005 on the beach by the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Got a CD from them and jammed the heck out of it. I still get "One night's rage" stuck in my head at random times. ARCHER NATION!
No wonder Hank Jennings became a criminal. He had to disappear into the PNW because he had the entire military industrial complex after him!
Too bad this version is so much shorter. But the other upload is labled as a "kids video," for some stupid reason and therefore cannot have comments. I don't see what kind of idiot would think this is for children.
These interviews are great, but the editor or Mix couldn’t use a hypercardioid mic?
It was my camera mic
Does anyone know if the raw footage of this performance still exists?
The reason why it was shot is for the effect. The effect was live. It was an accident that any video appeared in the dark. This was a Black and White 1978 video camera. There is no other video.
