Old Loaders and Gutless Motors
Приєднався 19 жов 2022
Basically like the name says old loaders (and other random antique equipment) and gutless motors (like the 6.2 detroit in my pickup) should be a good variety of different and other random shit.

Why not a restomod or tribute based upon the Big Horn? Hell, the real things aren't quite as rare as hen's teeth but they come close! Cummins or Cat powered hopefully! New sub here and hater comments just boost the view count so let it rain!! hahahaha!! Edit: I made my comment while the video was loading so a barely broken in 555 Cummins works perfectly IMO!!
@@michaelcousins2526 it's basically gonna be a swing out fender bighorn and I find all the hate amusing, if they don't like it now they're really not gonna appreciate what the poor truck is gonna get put through daily when it's done
Now that’s a build I can support! God bless you and I hope it turns out the way you want it to. would you need a CDL to operate it? 😅
Ur fucked u man u going to destroy 2 perfectly good trucks u shouldn't be aloud to own a trucks or anything
This thing sat on marketplace for months, you had every opportunity in the world to save it but you didn't and I'm gonna keep buying more old trucks and equipment
Ya got room for a 12v jimmy
@@user-yw5yn8ho5c if someone wants to donate me a v12 Jimmy I'll be more than happy to put that in instead of a big cam cummins
I was kind of against you cutting it. But it is your truck, and will probably be cool. I drove an x seater of Alaska plow truck like that, years ago had a 549 international gas motor and a five and a four. Nothing else short of a jet could burn more fuel.
@@user-yw5yn8ho5c I'm making progress on it and it's gonna be large and beautiful when done
Please don’t cut it. It’s too nice
Chop chop 🪓🗡🪚🔪
@ 3:00 min mark sorry to say but u r fukin up ! if u do not put in atleast one slip yoke on all that steering linkage truck frames do indeed flex ole boy !
@@rsmith3033 there is one but it's hiding in the cab,
Flip flops on. Full 100% Pakistaani way. Lol
Thanks for doing a down to earth project that's interesting to watch and wont cost 300,000 dollars at completion. Do you get those 2020 date coded tires at the military dealer in Memphis. I'm looking for a set. Thanks, Bill (By the way, are you going to stay with the Hydraulic clutch system or change to mechanical)?
@@billtodd6509 the guy in waukesha Wisconsin had them listed, and I have no idea what or how I'm gonna make the clutch work because this was an automatic truck, but I'm sure once the transmission is in it will be easy enough to figure out
@@oldloadersandgutlessmotors Thanks, That rig is going to be the talk of the big Dodge truck fans, right?
@@billtodd6509a lot of them love it, and I'm catching a lot of hate from others, but I really don't care either way
@@oldloadersandgutlessmotors Amen, I think I would go with an N14. Your can run them on 4 wires.
@@billtodd6509 big cam 400
You definitely have an interesting build here that if done right would be pretty cool to see. A few words of advice would be to round the front of the 5 ton hood to mimic the c series look. Otherwise it will just look spliced in and not match the c series design which is rounded and very 50s looking. Im definitely interested to see how the fenders will turn out as that is the coolest part of these trucks for sure!! Dont forget to have fun with it. Thanks for sharing and have a great one!
I'm gonna leave the front of the hood alone except for after it's painted I'm going to hang the dodge emblems out front again, and I'm going to do my best to try to make the hood not look spliced the, hood sides are going to be the hardest part
@@oldloadersandgutlessmotors most definitely, as well as blending the fenders to the hood line. With time and effort she will be cool though!
Dpf systems take diesel soot, which is pm10 a particulate matter that is large enough for you to be able to cough up if inhaled but is also visible to the naked eye as dark smoke or dark colored dust. Then burning it down to pm2.5 which makes it harder to see. Out of sight, out of mind kind of thing. The problem is, at pm2.5, it is small enough to be introduced directly into the bloodstream through the alveoli in your lungs, which is very bad. Now you can't see the soot, but inhaling the burned off gasses from a diesel is basically "mainlining" cancer directly into your body.
Wow so new engines post DPF are actually dirtier in a way. That’s crazy.
But the government and military don't have to abide by the EPA regulations. Sell that shit somewhere else
Billy big riging hits different with a big block gas engine.
Yes
Gotta love an old 6.2
What engine is in that?
555 cummins
First thing, love the channel name, I'm a big fan of base model motors. Second, I have also had (Chrysler) Dodge vehicles sneak their way into my driveway. It started with a Caravan, then a 200, and now a 4th gen Ram.
Happens to the best of us, I started with the power wagon and I've owned 7 or 8 other dodges as well
Wow this truck will be cool
Thank you sir ! Another wonderful Chrysler product saved
That's debatable according to some people on here, watch my other videos for more on this truck
93 12 valve? That 46 wrecker looks pretty sweet from 100 feet. That 93 looks good. I never thought I would end up with Dodges and now I have a 97 12 Valve and a 95 Jeep. Dang you Chrysler.
Yes 93 is a 12 valve and yes the wrecker looks good from 100 feet but not up close
Call it Big hoss
Dude you dont know what your doing!!!Dont screw up a perfectly good truck those old Dodges are very hard to find !! Especially the one you have !! Leave it alone or sell it you idiot!!
Ok I'll leave it alone I wish I would have thought of that, watch my other videos to see what actually happens with this truck 😂
...
Just a long hood kind of guy.
I just like trucks that I can see the engine on
Cool! But is she longer than a Hendrickson? This is gonna be awesome! 💪👍
Bumper to back of cab is 129 so you tell me
@@oldloadersandgutlessmotors I'll have to get back to you on this. Hendrickson's always had the longest hoods in Chicagoland!
Just leave it alone, it is fine the way it is.
Ok that's what I will do I wish I would have thought of that
46 wrecker is coolest truck in the line up an its sitting outside 😢. ❤L
I'll make a video on that at some point soon
Please dont use bondo. Do it properly
It's gonna get some filler but I'm gonna keep it to a minimum
Good
I can already picture the filler panels in my head...😎
That's next as soon as I go get some steel
55 gal barrel for hood sides
@@craigstrauss2375 it's almost like you've watched me do custom sheetmetal work before 😂
Get the bondo in 5 gal pails
I'll have to see if I can get it in 55 gallon drums that way I have something to make hoodsides out of
The fact that people are getting this defensive over a random truck shows things.
I'm just having fun and building a truck to meet my needs, and if that hurts people's feelings they don't have to watch 😂
I subscribed based solely on the haters in the comment section... I'm also about ridiculous filler panels, too...😁
Thanks bud I'm having fun with the haters as well
I'm gonna follow this build. It's got possibilities.
Thats NOT a Bighorn.
I'm stretching the hood to big horn length, you would know this If you actually watched the video it's basically going to be a hard-nosed bighorn
There is nothing wrong with a 400 Cummins provided some idiot did NOT work on it. Then fuel systems are far to easy to push the power well beyond 600 horses. i built these engines for 35 years.
Dodge built 261 Bighorns with huge fiberglass hood in 1973,74 and 75. That is a D800 or D900
And if you watched the other videos in this series you would know I'm setting the cab rearward and building this one to a bighorn length hood just with swing out fenders
Thst thing is awesome.
And it's only gonna get better
@@oldloadersandgutlessmotors Ya gonna Diesel it up?
@@MrJohnnyDistortion it's getting a 400 cummins
@@oldloadersandgutlessmotors Sounds expensive.
@@MrJohnnyDistortion so far I have a lot of the parts I need but yes it's gonna be expensive
The Dodge "Buck Snort"
I have seen only one of your trucks theyer cool😊
I own a handful if you look at my channel you'll see more
Cool old truck
Please, no.
Stay tuned for more progress on the dodge
In other words you are going to screw up a perfect classic
It's my truck I'm going to do what I see fit with it to make it work for me, and if you wanted to save it you should have bought it , its basically getting a restoration in the process of what I'm doing
Name it bullhorn
I like that
. Throw a Mack hood ornament on it
You are good at what you do, and I like the story of the machines.. 🙂
I'm gonna try to upload more regularly I kinda took a break for a while
