Because vindi does not really give that much stuff to its party, no real boons or anything. most of its healing can easily be targeted towards people out of the party with the tablet and tree song. That party is also most of the time full hp, since they're perma dodging. So that way every party gets healed by them, but the other parties can get more value from having like a druid in their party.

We run 3 renegade and 1 chrono ( for veil). This based on a 20’s comp. The fights where we still have chronos are just from before we swapped to rene, as we only swapped recently.

@@thijskengw2145 I meant why change from 4 Chronos to 3 Rene 1 Chrono? What's the strength behind rene? Afaik Chrono gives good stab also, right?

@@SogouOkita Yes but renegades boons are just better, both the alac and stab are better. It also gives more might and it basically gives infinite resistance whereas chrono gives none. Road is also the best stab in the game as it pulses, so it cant rlly be stripped cuz it gets insta reapplied. Pulsing boons are always better than instant boons in a stack. The only thing that chrono basically does better is strips, but strips are useless in this scenario anyways. Renegade also gives fury which chrono does not ( unless you go dueling but that's pretty scuffed.) The renegades are also tankier themselves cuz of heavy armor and staff weapon, they bring a bit of cleanse and give prot too ( cuz of salvation). So basically they give every single important boon permanently whereas chrono only gives stab and chrono or quick. And giving your party dwarf elite basically makes them unkillable.

longbow for heavily outnumbered fights ( like 2 x our size), but anything closer to our numbers than that hammer feels better. Smaller sized groups tend to be more organised, so they wont die as easily. Hammer sets up kills better with the immob and is also more bursty than longbow. Bigger groups however tend to just be more chaotic, so they die more easily to just raw aoe dmg.

@@thijskengw2145 why did you choose arms over strength ? Isn't strength better in terms of damage ?

​@@PapatrollosHe is using both in the video. You can track it through the buffs, utilities and weapon sets. Strength - Berserker's Power, Sundering Leap, mainly Hammer/GS Arms - Furious, Banner of Tactics, Longbow

druids are on alac too, but the mesmers are in inspi signet, so they lengthen the alac they give. But by just spamming phantasms and shattering without illusions with inspi signet, you get to like 60% alac uptime or so. that combined with druid is 100%

@@thijskengw2145 I see. Thanks. I tried support Chrono but my clones die so fast I didn't even have time to shatter them so it made alac uptime extremely low for my group. It is so weird that Anet decided to reduce the alacrity time on phantasms when if anything MORE alac time is needed for support Chrono in WvW....

I feel alac chrono is still more than fine in terms of the amount it puts out and the nerf it got was defo needed.

No clue, we noticed this some months ago and never rlly found out why druid has strips on arc dps. We’re not running any boon rip sigils or runes and whatnot. Maybe some weird interaction somewhere or just a bug.

​@@thijskengw2145 our group noticed the same thing. We thought it might be daze they output from CA 3/glyph of equality of out CA. If the daze removes the last stack of stability we think arcdps might count it as a strip.

Sure, but then other knocks/ cc’s would be the same, since they also remove a stack of stab. Also if you look at the strips meter, they always keep going up by 1, if it was CA 3 then it would be going up by more than 1. The frequency of the strips are also shorter than the CD of CA 3. So I don’t think it’s that.

We thought it could specifically be daze, but you're right, you'd see that interaction somewhere else for sure, and it would occasionally incrementing by more than 1. Point about frequency is very valid, hadn't thought of that. Super strange how the frequency is really variable too, some of the increments are really quick, others are much slower. Back to the drawing board :P Edit: been digging into this and our original theory is even listed as a known limitation on the arcdps page "area strips ignore last-stack stability, cc and strip indistinguishable." So even more proof we were wrong lol.

I personally do not feel either of those are optimal. Tempest is quite literally outclassed by druid in every single category. Our comp does not rely on strips in order to kill people so berserker is just better. Higher burst, harder to kill, etc

@@kennethgoettsch9201i was trying out great fortitude that week but have since then stuck to forceful greatsword. Depending on the might gain from your party great fortitude can be better, but generally forceful gs is the better choice.
