This is a cover of The Beach Boys song "That's Not Me" done in a Kirby's Dreamland 3 videogame soundfont style. I randomly found this online a while back and really liked it. Thought I'd share in hopes that others like it too. So if the original creator of this track doesn't want it online, please let me know and I will remove it. Thank you!

Sorry Brian, but the Beatles never considered the BB as rivals. They had class which very few American bands had that time. If it wouldn’t be the Beatles, you would probably find other bands from England to trying to compete. And they had many that time against the only BB. My advise would be for you in time of the 1960s, try at least sing in pitch that would help.

Billy : the summer of '74, was the year you & The Boys toured with CSNY on their reunion tour. Indeed, The Boys played just prior to CSNY . I so remember that, because when they came to DEnver, at old Mile-High Stadium in front of 53,000, The Boys just blew the roof off the place ! They opened with " Wouldn't It Be Nice ? " , Al on lead, & just did one great song, after another ! All of Mile-High Stadium was rocking ! I went by myself, found some friends on the lawn, & stayed there. -------then, when CSNY finally came out , a clearly wasted Neil Young, staggering around the stage-----& a surly Stephen Stlls announced :[ to the effect of ] " anyone here for our old shit can just leave now ! " ------such an insult -----------people just began leaving in droves ! Well ! I decided to stick it out just to see. When finally, they did " Carry On ", Young didn't sing at all, & clearly, only Nash & Stills were sober, so it was just terrible. So, that's when I called it quits. By then, maybe a thousand people were still there ? Maybe ??? ---------------The " BeachAgo " Tour was '75, & for some odd reason, it was in Ft Collins at CSU Rams Stadium. It was a brutally hot day, & I recall both DW & Mike played with shirts off. Honestly------musically----it was for me anyway, disappointing, with Peter cEtera doing the lead on " Darlin ", & Carl on " Does Anybody Know what time it is ?", as I recall. But yes, THAT, was '75. Later that year------December-------The Boys returned to The Denver Coliseum, with JWG on Bass, you on keyboards, And while Blondie was gone, Ricky Fataar still played on Druns. That was where Carl sang " TWOTS " , with Al, Mike, DW, you, & I think, someone else, on harmony. --------Ahhhh, The 70's ! ------------MJL, 78 y/o------------------RIP, Billy ! --------------The years go by too fast.

Larry was a fucking fossil by this time. He had no clue who the Beach Boys were, other than by name. It's annoying to see him fake his way thru this interview, asking these paint-by-number questions. That's why he keeps going into the "dees and dose" voice - Larry always did that when he was bored and had nothing else to say.

"Pet Sounds" was the greatest album of the 1960s and it was made right here, but it was overshadowed by The Beatles because Americans weren't ready for The Beach Men.

Not sure but it was because of drug use. The 1960s and 70s were awful as far as drug culture especially in certain circles such as the music business, although there were some that stayed away from it. I was I teen in the 1960s.

@FlowersInSunshine they can give an initial diagnosis but a psychiatrist really needs to see someone over the year or years to really know for sure. So probably a misdiagnosed condition.

  • @KeizerHedorah

Landy literally saved Brian's life and was responsible for his most healthy and creative periods post 1970, Brian has never again been as lucid, creative and healthy as he was 75-77 and 84-89. The story of Landy as purely evil is not true, and the real story of what happened is much more complex. What we can be sure of is Landy saved Brian's life twice, and that Landy also 100% crossed moral lines for his own gain, and he also apparently crossed some legal lines, though not to the point of being locked up. Melinda was like a gift from heaven for Brian, finally someone that really cared for him in a healthy way, its very sad to read of her passing, i hope Brians surrounded by good people now and hes living as good a life as is possible for him now.

The latest is a non invasive ultrasound beam pinpoint directed to a minute part of the brain. So far they`ve only used it for curing addictions, but if directed toward a different area?????
