4:00 I will never get over 2020. I am not agoraphobic. I have developed a profound fear and dislike of people because I have realised that I am completely at the mercy of idiotic and savage mobs. Having been imprisoned in my own home also made me reflect on previous history and, much to my horror, I realised that it had always been the case. Being terrorised by them for fucking years kinda does that. The fucking sheer stupidity, the callousness, the speed with which they start gnarling. I will never be able to look at toilet paper without bringing back some memories and the anxiety that I will have to find enough leaves to wipe myself. All of it. Every fucking little thing reminds me that civility is just a thin facade. 2020 in addition to other more punctual experiences I have had with animals who were pretending to be humans. This must be a nightmare of cosmic proportions. It has to be. I hope it will end at some point.

ok so a widely discredited guy is giving a lecture. you think this is something to associate yourself with? and as is readily evident, he is discussing exposure therapy, not aba, so now we add deception to misrepresentation... all in the name of... what? trying to make radical behaviourism and it's niche coercive and ethically highly questionable implementation - in an entirely different area of work - look good? somehow? the idea that aba and jbp are easy bedfellows seems entirely plausible... but at least find a relevant clip. not having one yells 'needy' and 'deceptive' and 'desperate' and fires a mortar shell into the heart of any credibility aba might have. or it would if aba had a heart. which, as we know, it does not. get a real job.

For most agoraphobics, the fear is that we will have a panic attack in the elevator..far from home.

I remember seeing the twin towers in New York when I was there, pictures don't do it justice. I was in New Orleans, cool city, before the hurricane. I drove on that bridge in Minneapolis, you know, the one that collapsed. You want a real specific location? How about down town starved rock in Illinois, it's exactly one block long, I know this because I was there. Very quaint. Until a tornado destroyed it all. Everywhere I go, everywhere I've been, disaster follows. The list goes on. I suffer from long range agoraphobia, I can leave my house, but I never travel very far anymore.

ABA has had too many chances. It should never have become as big as it has. It is a high profit industry. At the end of the day, is was created by the same mind that thought that you could convert gay people into straight people. Lovaas also didn’t think Autistics were human. It is a soft science at best. ABA must get banned.

The very foundation of ABA is harmful to us. There are so many other forms if therapy out there already. We don't have to reinvent the wheel by trying to reshape ABA. Occopational therapy, Montessori methods and ACT have felt very autism friendly (and human friendly) when I've tried them as a child and adult.

I really appreciate the effort to bridge autists, therapists, parents and educators. Autistic voices have been left out of these discussions too long.
