As one of the traditional Chinese enclaves in the East Bay, it has been one of the important arteries for the local Chinese diaspora for decades.
Unfortunately, as the population ages, and crime from outsiders increases, the area has been on a steady decline.
Public perception and morale from residents is at an all time low, and some drastic measures need to be taken.
Lo and behold, the night market came about as a way for the community to come together to support local retail, as well as to prove the naysayers wrong.
