If you want a laugh, next time you're in this chapter before meeting Callista you can check some of the boxes/barrels on the deck of the ship, and Zael will try to look for Callista inside of them. The trader at 3:30 is, strangely, the only one in the game selling Giant Shark Fin. Those can be either used later in a sidequest in town, or sold for profit. The "weird unfocused stuff" will happen all the time. It's an emulator thing. It works fine on console. In the cell at 15:39 you can see a Gurak sitting in the back of the room. If you go back there, you can see it's the Gurak Captain that was slapped by the Muruk way back when Zael & co. took over the ship. "Trapped in the dark with no way out. The story of my life" Deepest line in the game, man. At 43:30 you can shoot a Burst Arrow at the crystal on the ceiling. They will drop down and knock the chest into the hole. You will then find the chest in the passage below. It contains the Deadly Crossbow for Zael, a crossbow that can inflict Death when doing headshots.

Today we see the first instance of a recurring joke with Zael not having sense of smell. I don't remember where I've heard this the first time, but I've heard that they did that because since players can only hear and see the game, but not smell, they tough it funny to take aways Zael's sense of smell too. You can easely deal with witches you have Yurick in the party. Just have him cast Reverse. Reversing a enemy damage circle will create a healing circle on it's origin and reversing an enemy heal circle will create a neutral damage circle that damages enemies instead. If you can't do that, 1-2 Wizard Slayer arrows usually kills any enemy witch. I find funny how Dagran goes like "Hmpf, giving me orders?" Bro, you're the one that suggested Zael should take the lead back on the ship.

I don't know why, but many people keep claiming you can skip chapters on this section. It's not true. Both Yurick's chapter and Mirania's chapter are mandatory. The guy won't finish reparing the door until you complete both of them. During Doppleganger's phase 1, if a magic circle lands close to the mirror you can whack the boss as it's doing its "hurt" animation. Actually, you can spam the crossbow once it's hurt and it's possible to stunlock it and go into phase 2 faster. You don't actually have to Gale the chracter that's being pulled by the spider, you can just Gale in front of the spider.

A couple tips to keep in mind as you'll move along: - Armor doesn't really matter in this game until you get near the end. Whether you choose Heavy, Cloth, Leather etc doesn't matter 'cause the stats are more or less the same; just keep it upgraded. Once you start hitting +6 and +7, look for what additional effects they give you and see what you like best. - It's generally a bad idea to diffuse Heal circles. Heal circles give you a safe heaven to go and heal and while diffusing them does a quick party heal it's better to keep them around. Characters you don't control will automatically try to reach a heal circle if their health drops below 50%. You can also quickly send them to a heal circle by using the "Retreat" command of Command Mode. Only diffuse Heal circles if you desprerately need a party heal or the whole party is inflicted with an ailment and want to get rif of it.

I've gotta point out how bad the tutorial at 43:05 is. The first part about alternating attacks is fine, the second part is phrased incredibly poorly. What the second part is saying, is that if an enemy is taking chip damage from standing in our of your magic circles, you can do chains with only one character. It's not something you are required to use ever, but it's nice to know you can do it. If you refuse to take Lisa to Starlight Tower, she complains then sticks her tongue out at the camera. XD Also, if you choose to touch Lisa twice, Zael trips and falls off the cliff. The narrator then explains that he climbed back up as if nothing had ever happened.

If, before you find Lisa, you go behind the tavern you can skim in between two walls and hear a convo among Lowell, Dagran and Yurick while they are having a bath and...comparing sizes. 15:07 When you interact with that you actually get to choose from either take a peek or don't. If you do, Zael gets slapped if you don't there a funny "double -meaning" dialogue between Lisa and Syrenne talking.

Hey there, big fan of this game here. The Final Fantasy theme is on-point. Game was written/directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi with songs from Nobuo Uematsu, both having worked togheter up until FFX I believe. Even the title is a clear reference to say to players "Hey this game was made by two of the people who famously worked on FF!" although you can read more into it given where the plot goes. If you didn't know, you can defeat the Cocoon boss without drawing it to the bridge. It requires some advanced understading of the game mechanics but it can be pulled off in about 7-8 minutes. You don't get anything for it unfortunately. If you hold BLOCK and hit CROSSBOW (B > Z) you will "lock-on" to the nearest enemy. This can help because it keeps the camera centered on it. Sometimes it's better not to lock on though, so use with caution. Tap Z again to disengage it. If you want to try the online mode, we have a discord server where we organize matches. It's been a while since we last played, but we might organize something if you want. I heard you have a Wii, if it's modded you should be able to go online easely.
