Nice
Did you finally figured it out? Taking into account you've already tried with amother unspringed guitars, I think that stacked screamer plus amp gains are creating an ad-hoc feedback, specific to your ambience plus the combination of specifics amp and pedal. The slow noise gate let it appears, but it is clearly generated by the stacked gain. Did you try with another room and surrounding? I use another gear but similar stack gains combination and I already know that if my surrounding space is to small I will have to calm down gains and beware of pickup to cabinet angle to avoid feedback. The feedback frequency can lead also to the problem. It sounds mid-rangy, did you try another OD pedal? Interesting issue
overdrive first, noise gate second
Very nice 🔥
tuff bro

Very well played and nice guitar sound my friend
Killer bro! this is like hardcore, metalcore deathcore all at once!
Why I instantly fell in love with the band.
Did yoy figured out what was the issue??
Not really, I kinda just chalked it up to either too much gain between the maxon and amp head , or the ns2 can’t handle all the gain, turned gain down n it’s a little better but still there
Awesome cover man!! It was pretty confusing watching and admiring such a smooth cover when I’m used to throwing down to this song 😂🤙🏼 great job
I’ve used EVH head with ns2 in x pattern for over 10 years with zero issues. The ns2 isn’t the fasted gate on the planet but it does a great job live and I gig every week. Are you muting the string after the chug? As the gate won’t shut if any signal is getting in. Seems strange to me but if you have trem springs then definitely dampen them. Same with strings after the nut.
From experience, I think that pedal has so much gain that it needs another noise gate pedal after it to kill that. I found my old noise gate and I'm going to try it and see if it kills that noise. I have st9 pro, decimator 2, evh stealth 50w Oh I am not an expert either...
It’s the NS-2, its attack is not particularly fast. Fortin Zuul, ISP Decimator or TC Electronic Sentry are faster. Also, the string ends behind the headstock nut and behind the string saddle if it’s a Tune-O-Matic style bridge tend to ring as well, so using a FretWrap, tape, foam pieces, or old clothing shreds tied around them will stop any “chirping”.
Isn't the noise suppressor supposed to go after OD/distortion?
Did u ever figure it out?
Not fully, just got the gate cranked and it limited it enough
😤😤😤😤
Turn down your gain, and hold with damper your tremolo spring. Done.
It’s the spirit of Korns dreads
Pee on it?
First trouble shooting methods are to try wrapping your strings with a hair band or something similar to mute between your nut and tuners. Next is the springs in your tremolo. Wrap with Teflon or electrical tape, preferably Teflon for residue reasons. If not either of those, it’s like not a guitar issue and a tube or general amp setup issue.
Learn to to plug your cables in thru the loop FX correctly. Noise gate comes after the Screamer.
They’re thru the loop correctly lol, and I’ve tried it with ns2 first in the loop and maxon first in the front and every other combination
It's the springs from your guitar's tremolo bridge vibrating. Take them out and wrap a bit of electrical tape around them and it will deaden the sound. I've had the same problem.
Microphonic pickups. Look up “wax potting pickups” tutorials. Time consuming, but cheap and easy fix. Sweet rig. Good luck.
The gain isn’t too high I adjusted the gain and every other knob on both the amp and pedal , I used different guitars, rearranged the pedals through the loop and not through the loop, even tried another 5150 amp and cab combo the problem is still there
Your pickups are microphonic and the noise gate is on the slow side. Sorry. I don’t think it’s the tubes.
The gate is almost maxed and it’s done it with around 5 different guitars with different pickups it still happens, I think it’s something with the maxon pedal
Your gain is too high and you have a tubescreamer. Not to mention you have the worst noisegate known to man. All those factors are definitely giving you that feedback..
It's the spirit of rock n roll.carry on
Tap on the tubes with the noise gate off. Use a light tap with a chopstick, if you hear anything through the speaker, one of the tubes may have gone bad.. also it could be the pickups on the guitar..another thing is you may have too much gain.. half the gain on the amp, 9 o’clock gain on drive pedal, 3 o’clock on the volume of the drive pedal.. just some things to try.. good luck.
Ive messed with the gain knobs 100 different ways it’s still happening , I’ll try the tube test tho
!! Epic video baby keep rock n roll yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
