I review Hotel Football, owned by Manchester United legends!
I travel to Manchester, England to experience one night at Hotel Football situated right outside Manchester United within full view of their famous ground, Old Trafford.
Hotel Football is famously owned by Manchester United legends Gary and Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
I stay in the ‘99 room, a special tribute to the team’s achievements but more of that in the video!
If you’re curious about Hotel Football and how much it costs, be sure to watch to the end when I give you my thoughts on the hotel and the overall price.
Let me know if you’ve ever stayed here, or are a Manchester United fan, in the Comments section.
Finally, I think my camera got a little steamy with talk of all these football stars so apologies for some of the mistiness in this video.
See you soon with more roaming adventures!
Nikki xx

    The UA-cam algorithm led me to this video and I felt like leaving a comment, when I first started towing RVs the first thing I did was have the dealer install a bigger (aftermarket) fuel tank on my F350 ( I chose a 50 gal tank). I suggest you research this option … your fuel range will go from 300 miles to about 700 or 800. The larger fuel tanks are expensive but I felt worth the money because I didn’t want to be stranded anywhere because of fuel and sometimes I didn’t want to stop every 2 hours to fill up. I got some useful info from this video. Thanks.

    Personally, for me, Ghost Towns also include places which have experienced severe decline and are shadow of their former selves. This includes places like Kayville (south of Regina) and Counsul (near the west end of the Saskatchewan section of the Red Coat Trail) which still have residents and open businesses but which also have a lot of abandoned or vacant buildings (both houses and businesses).

    • @RoamingNikki
      @RoamingNikki 6 місяців тому

      For me “Ghost” feels like it should be associated with something that has died and I don’t think a town that has residents should be called a “ghost Town”. I get your point though that they are a shadow of their former selves. Thank you for commenting on this. Its great to hear all opinions 😊

      Thanks for the tip. I had it checked twice. Once by the representative of the manufacturer of the camper and also an independent. We ran through a whole load of tests and checked with the center of gravity sticker that is on the side of every camper. It was sitting pretty 😊. It does have a designed overhang with the “porch step” and I think thats what you are seeing. Also we got the Adventurer camper which has extra headroom in the bedroom. That does make it very tall. It’s the best design for full time living with 2 people in my opinion. Thanks for the comment though. Appreciate your concern.

      To be honest I can’t remember. We sold it about 6 months ago. I can tell you that it was gas and was the most expensive rig to move that we have had so far. We knew that going just a couple of hours down the road would cost us about $100CAD in fuel. And it didn’t last too long too. There were some trails we didnt take because our fuel capacity was not good enough to get us out and then back to a town to top up. You would need a few spare canisters if you wanted to really get out in the backroads.

    This is a bit late, I know, BUT... the tank sensors are notorious for false readings. If you empty the problem tank and put in about a cup of Borax and fill it with water and add some Dawn dish detergent, let it slop around for a day's driving, then drain it, and flush it, it should return to being accurate. The flush is helpful, but doesn't really break things up, especially in places with 'hard' water.

      I have had such a blast starting this channel and getting to chat to some of you guys. I can’t wait to see what I will get up to next year lol

    Wow, the spoiler on that last Porsche was tremendous! The seat that comes out of the trunk area of the car is called a "rumble seat." The movie is "Back to the Future", of course!

      😆 As much as I really enjoyed seeing all those classics The newer one was very nice. Calling it a rumble seat makes absolute sense. I think I would be rumbling if I was sat there lol.

    Just found your channel... Beautiful setup and I heard "Penticton" I figured you must be local. Do you plan to live in it through the winter?

    • @RoamingNikki
      @RoamingNikki Рік тому

      Yes we are set to be here for 1 year at least. I’ve always loved the area when we have passed through on my travels. I have only been in the valley in the summer though. It will be an interesting winter lol

    Maybe next time. I agree, I'd be freaked out seeing a sculpture underwater too. Do you guys have snakes up there? I live on the Western shore of Lake Michigan and we don't have snakes here because it gets too cold, I can't imagine it would be any more hospitable for them further North. Edit: Boy, did I speak out of ignorance. Apparently, there are snakes here. I've just never seen any in the 22 years I've lived here. Not at the marsh, not in the forest.

      Apparently we have 9 species of snake in British Columbia and 7 of those are in the Okanagan Valley and 6 of those are harmless. The 7th is a rattlesnake (Western Rattlesnake) but is not considered very dangerous although it is venomous 😳

    • @Brigand231
      @Brigand231 Рік тому

      @@RoamingNikkiYeah, apparently we have 22 species, but only 2 are venomous. Of those, only the timber rattler is considered deadly and they're not normally confrontational with humans. The more you know...

    Fuel consumption is measured in miles per gallon not how much of a tank you get for $50. Other than that nice video

    Where there's a will, there's a way. Those roots run very deep. It can be more challenging for the trees in nature, but these trees have been obviously planted at regular intervals from each other and a specific distance from the sidewalk (unless the sidewalk came after the trees), so a few possibilities exist that would give them an edge over random trees. It's quite likely they were planted by humans who could have dug extra deep holes to ensure the roots would take hold. They likely would have been transplanted as saplings so they would have weight and maturity over random seeds. Lastly, off the top of my head, they could have had poles or stakes to help keep them erect until their roots ran deep enough to ensure their stability and survival.

      That makes sense to me 😁 Would they need regular watering? Even if the roots are deep the sand is very dry. It doesn’t rain a whole lot in Penticton.

    • @TheLeannansidhe
      @TheLeannansidhe Рік тому

      I would guess that any water they need they would get from their roots being deep in the soil. There can be a decent amount of water if they are deep enough.

      There's a lot of water underground. It's not an issue. For a detailed breakdown simply google "How do trees grow in sand?". For more fragile trees, or if you have problems growing trees in sand there are irrigation systems that deliver water underground too.
