September 2024 we were camped at Webber Lake, CA and surrounded by wonderful wildlife. This little chipmunk was a bit of a beggar but we did our best to ignore him until he did this little show and I setup my camera to film him. Listen carefully and you'll hear a squirrel dropping pine cones onto the ground from a tree and also geese foraging for food in the lake.

I filmed the westbound Big Boy Excursion at Arnold Loop, Nevada making the climb to Silver Zone Pass

On February 23, 2024 I droned this westbound freight at Siberia, CA, making its climb up Ash Hill. This is the longest train I have ever seen and I want to guess it was close to 4 miles long. If someone wants to count the cars please be my guest and let me know what you think? I added sound from my ZOOM Hn1 field recorder. Please enjoy and click like!

I used my drone, a Mavic 2 Pro, to film the westbound California Zephyr at the Boca, CA crossing.

On March 14, 1994 I was "camped" at the west end of the Southern Pacific's Railroad Bridge and had a goal of taking photographs and videoing trains. As I was watching a ship go underneath the bridge, the day operator was showing up for his turn to work and saw me, and after a small discussion he invited me to join him and watch the operations of this great draw bridge.

I was on a trip to Oregon and spent a couple of days camped at Odell Lake near the Cascade Summit of the SP's Cascade Sub. I filmed at several locations inckuding Tunnel 3, Cascade Summit Siding, Salt Creek Trestle, and Tunnel 11.

On June 14-16, 1993 I took a trip from California to The Black Rock Desert in Nevada. I made a quick stop at Lawton, NV to catch an eastbound Souther Pacific freight before heading to Gerlach, NV then on Trego and Ronda sidings along the Union Pacific's (EX Western Pacific's) Winnemucca Sub. My neighbor hired a local tree felling company to cut down a Doug Fir that was at least 110 feet tall. The video shows the process that the main faller used to cut sections of the tree and were then roped down.

I was able to book a night at Robb's Hutt October 4th. 2023 so I took my drone and did some videoing and still photography of it and the surroundings. A simple video - enjoy.
