It's all about the feel of records and the beautiful sight of record players, where you can see precision engineering at the highest level. In terms of sound, this is a format from the day before yesterday and every CDP on a $100 CD player sounds better than the same record on a $10000 record player. The record as a sound carrier is simply the limiting factor... but for the first-mentioned reasons, audiophiles are allowed to live out their vinyl love. Just don't come up with the sonic advantages of vinyl. Then it becomes real satire...

In the 80’s they came out with a Magic clock by Tice then Magically treated wires. Them magic dots the size of a quarter to put on speakers walls ceilings. Some hi end stores started putting M n M’s on their speakers as a joke. About this time I started thinking I should enjoy the music and when it didn’t sound good it was because of the poor recording and I learned most audiophile recordings the music sucked. I have the same amps I bought in 1982 the speakers from 2003 and a pre amp with bass management in 2005 and a Mac mini as my streamer. Most important mild room treatment and exact speaker placement. Nothing I’ve heard from showrooms changed and no more pipe dreams. Can still tell good from poor recordings which also hasn’t changed.

I remember back in the late 1980's a bloke, I think his name was Peter Belt, sold audio accessories through the hi fi journals. I don't know all the products but I was fooled into purchasing one, a strip of tiny black adhesive-backed triangles that were supposed to be placed strategically on various items of hi fi equipment. I don't know what they were supposed to do, but I dutifully bought them and stuck one on my Roksan Xerxes turntable and another on the amplifier. And do you know, there was no difference in the sound quality

if your amplifier is not biased in pure Class A, then that is Not HiFi. High-End is different from Purely Class A Biased Amplifiers.

As an old and somwhat jaded audiophile I find this video ticks a lot of boxes for me. Nevertheless, I much prefer the sound of my somewhat expensive audiophile system over my transistor radio. Loved the video.

Bluetooth has timing issue with the ear and stereo and CrosstTalk Cancellation of 200 milliseconds is a known problem of 2 Channel.. Yes burn in is real. Headphones are not Stereo ( Technically)

Cables are part of chain and should match the needs of whole system . I think without knowledge of particular needs of system sounding, the value of cable cannot be defined. In such case it may be only valuated by quality of materials and make which is no connected to sonic. One must be prepaired that if his system sounds good, after connecting special expensive cables sounding is supposed get worse (better is always wrong to good) -they will uncover more middle band and sopranos realtively may be down which in system which had no headroom in sopranos may be not awaited. . Unfortuntely high price and opinions of specialists usualy will force user not admit it but to conclude only his ears are not perceiving sopranos. My colege who purchased speakers with high band reproduction to 40 kHz complains that his ears already cannot hear sopranos. I think he can hear them good but when thay are overlayed they are not enough noticeable . Why I wanted to have turntable? Two reasons - 1. to listen to original particular old LPs which I liked long ago and which I couldn't enjoy in past in stereo and on system which is to some degree perfect because it is build by me This experience is no comparable and new for me. For some reasons I treat LPs as unique true recording identical to original but I admit that playing them due to dust on LPs is less comfortable than tapes But still I prefer them over CD. I must say that I am a bit broken. I do not believe in any stupid gadgeds But when I service my integrated tube amplifier i obviously must turn it upside . I do it usualy in working condition and with noise source connected I can spot any change of sound from speakers in front. I noticed that any movement of this small amplifier results in slight but unmistaken change in heard noise. Surely also movement of my hands too. Also covering down side with flat insulation bottom and back affects heard noise I made my tube amplifier in wire technology due to impact of traces to electronic on PB. I think we need to accept that any change in arrangement of room, like setting amplifier up to veritcal provides in room new listening acoustic . Any new brick in room and movement of gear has impact to what we perceive due to new reflections . My conclusion is also that we should be reasonable and to stop worry for it .

Put An everyday track on these systems and most of value disapears... good recoedings sound great on $2000 systems aswell

I have been using Bluetooth and streaming movies and toons for t least 5-7 yeas now and I recently bought a magnetar bdp900 and i hate to bust your bubble but the sound and picture quality are bar none better than any streaming service available to date.

need a better microphone, or some of these high end system sounding like shit lol, they pick music that will not show the bad side of the speaker, this jazz music sounds good on almost any speaker, need a harsh high frequency track to see how it will handle it, like electronic music , you don't get a speaker just to play classical music .

Extremely dissapointed with the show, minimal to none acoustic treatment and tracks that you hear all the time.. Jazz and Jazz and Jazz, I even asked a room if I could listen to my music they legit said no, these speakers deserve only good quality music they said ! Quite the elitist world if you ask me
