Hi, I have an original shop manual for the generator and it says g42ea, g42ed or g42eg engine's are fitted. The pictures in the manual show a recoil starter fitted. There is another shop manual which I don't have for The engine alone . manual is from 1977 so not sure what parts are still available?
@@451liam1 thank you liam that's a big help. i have found plenty of points ignition coils but not the electronic ignition. they must have different flywheels as the flywheel magnets on mine are in the center of the flywheel around the boss yet the points ignition coil appears to be for a flywheel with the magnets on the outer circumference of the flywheel so too speak . it looks like to good a bit of kit to throw out i may be able to fit a points flywheel to her and then fit a points coil along with an electronic ignition chip conversion ?.

@@451liam1 thanks, I found period accurate recoil starter, but the mounting holes didn't allign, in the end I put on a regular one from a modern GX160, I had to modify the cup ( that mates to the flywheel) but it didn't need any mods to the original Genny parts.
You're right about the lawn . With the live axle the turning circle is rubbish so I 'have' to powerslide to turn . On eBay now so someone else can enjoy it.
Is that an AC1? Also, have you considered using Kdenlive (which is free) as editing software? I haven't been using it for long but it allows me to make better videos as you can see from my channel. There's also loads of good online tutorials.

Well done. Odd looking machine.
Bunton were bought by John Deere hence the colour scheme.

I have just bought one of these, did it ever have a recoil starter ? Or is that manual wound pulley the way Honda intended?

Looks like it was fun on the lawn.
Nice buggy, not going to do the grass any favours though.

Nice engine, on a saw bench too.Was it hard to start?
It was a bit as it's quite a big swing on the starting handle . Easy once warmed up though.
@@451liam1 perhaps you should do a start up video?

Hi, yes it's still available. Could I have your email address please.
