I've always had a fascination with ceiling fans especially vintage ones that aren't sold anymore and are hard to find. So I started a collection back in 2018 but I only bought fans that are rare these days. They're far more interesting to me. Enjoy the videos!

What if you turn on together?
I'm curious about how effective they are at actually moving air.
I like the sound of the first one
@@Fluffberymoff it does indeed sound cool, also less annoying compared to the others
2:50 no wonder why it was noisy because it was suffocating because your not supposed to install a ceiling fan there.
@@gavinfout1663 not sure if that was sarcasm haha but the location of the fan has nothing to do with the noise. It’s the spinning plastic gears inside the housing when the teeth make contact. Every gear driven fan makes those noises regardless of where it’s installed.

You should do midlothian next good fans there
0:01 Cool Fan Royal Windyne, ornate version of the Emerson Blenderfan
2:02 cool blade brackets on the KDK/Panasonic industrial
These are hella cool how’s the performance on them??
@@thegingerfanman92 they’re pretty good! I have two neon ceiling fans (the other is the Turn of The Century model) and I’d say that this one performs slightly better. Both move a good amount of air on low
@@nickhizfanz6569 very good to know because this is one of my ultimate dream fans to eventually find
@@thegingerfanman92 Keep an eye out on eBay. That’s where I get all my fans and one will turn up eventually but they can go for a couple hundred
@@nickhizfanz6569 I’ll definitely keep my eye open for sure
Nice
Rare!
What’s rare?
Huh?
Ooohhh it’s the galka rare
Do you want better fans here than that broken industrial and that Farmington? When were these fans put up?
@@ItsIceTime Luckily I saw two brand new black Hampton Bay industrials in their boxes to replace the incomplete industrial and the Farmington. I’m not sure exactly how long the current fans have been there but they were installed long before I started working there which was 5 years ago
@@nickhizfanz6569could you ask the owner when the place was renovated or built

I thought the Westinghouse Industrials were non-reversible? Would that one have a bad capacitor that made it reverse itself?
It’s possible, there’s also a possibility that there’s a reverse switch hidden under the bottom canopy just like the Hampton Bay Industrials
@@nickhizfanz6569 Well I did ask another fan collector who said that newer Westinghouse Industrials are reversible, they didn’t used to be.
@@carexpertandy interesting
Pls can you compare Edison/Toastmaster and CEC 48
The second one is so loud
That first fan hauls ass
I really like this combination.
The Industrials are: 1. Westinghouse Industrial Ceiling Fans (They have the Westinghouse logo on the canopy) 2. Hampton Bay Industrial Ceiling Fans
It looks like @thejoushuawolfmans industrial!
2:40 Pretty Cool, the Casablanca Avalon has a brushed nickel motor but 6 years ago it used to have the Four Seasons motor
@@grantseto6247 still looked pretty cool
2:23 Cool there is a white one but the Brass one with light kits was there last year.
you can make the low speed a lot slower on that toastmaster. they’re not suppose to be that fast on low :)
I’m shocked there isn’t a Fasco Charleston here yet.
@@hunteroriginalceilingfans4006 I can think of a bunch that aren’t in there but there’s only so much room
This is DEFINITELY what my heaven will look like
@@Ducksceilingfans88 you and me both 😄
How did you get the Panama going that fast? Those things are usually slow
@@wesleysceilingfanjoint5255 it’s using 36” blades from my Hunter Comfort Breeze and it’s less weight on the gears which allows it to spin faster. If I had the rest of the original parts for the Panama, I’d be using the 52” balsa wood blades it would’ve came with. Surprisingly, it’s wired to just an on/off switch on the wall and no solid state
0:56 sound like airplane
Too bad the 20th century isnt responding..
I have the rarest ceiling fans only on Middle East such as audex and MSB
mine doesnt spin nearly as fast as this on high speed
Had you tried it on speed 1? It would be a bit slower. Capacitor based wall control can speed up shaded pole motor, some had tried capacitor based wall control on shaded pole Original set to low (it has separate windings for high and low, so basically separate motor), and it made it go faster. But speed 1 is exactly like on/off switch on.
I never tried speed 1 but that makes sense
@@nickhizfanz6569 Yeah and a large capacitor can burn out a shaded pole motor. Shaded pole motor is like a transformer, and on direct power they have a low power factor like 0.5, so it’s basically like 60 volts on a 120 volt power. So it may explain how a capacitor somehow increases the voltage.
@@CeilingFanVideosOnYT Alright, I wasn't familiar with all that at the time so I didn't want to risk something breaking. It's currently mounted behind my front door where a light used to be with just an on/off switch
@@nickhizfanz6569 Yeah on/off switch on is same as the 4 speed wall control on “1”.
Which Nick is this? I know at least 4 that are fan collectors
I’m Nick Strigel. I haven’t met any fan collectors just yet
@nickhizfanz6569 ah. Haven't heard of you before. You're the newest of the nicks lol
The last one sounds like an AC Also WHY IS THE SPIN DOWN ON THE SECOND FAN SO FAST
The Emerson friction drive has a rubber drive wheel that spins against the hub which is what the blades mount to. When it turns off, the rubber drive wheel stops instantly while the hub is still rubbing against it. Hence why it’s called a friction drive ceiling fan
The fanamation soccer has that Hampton bay looking remote
That Fantiques is coming down this year as it is filler. Weird to see that no longer works... Both the Obvi and the little Crompton Greaves Industrials have the remotes stuck on the wall below them That tiny Original has shaft wear That Casablanca's belt slipped off the DAY we were leaving, so we had no time to fix it 7:15: that is an old Century. One of the only fans up there right now without a remote. Eventually it'll move downstairs. The remotes to the Heat Fan and Fanimation thing next to it are stuck on the window beneath them lol Phil Frey-modded original needs an upped capacitor in the remote, so for now I just used one with low and medium disabled
Thanks for the info, I just wasn’t looking hard enough. Otherwise everything else was beautifully done
Thanks! Me and a few other guys were up there for a week in September, which is when most of all the new stuff was put up. A few things were put up a couple months ago, so I'm glad you visited in time to see those
@@ECFE it was nice to see the Edison/Toastmaster Belt Drive and the Fasco Heat Cycler since I’ve been hunting those down for bit
@@nickhizfanz6569 Glad you enjoyed. That Heat Cycler is mine. And that Edison is Charles S's. Thing is pretty much impossible to balance which is why it's like that on high

Glad it works for you! These really are timeless, American made fans. Could use a blade balancing though!
Couldn’t agree more
How beautiful.
Definitely some good stuff up this year can’t wait to see it in august
