Ryan, you’re such a wonderful person. Thank you for genuinely important advice. By the way, you have beautiful eyes ;)
Hope you found the video helpful!
Thanks for the tutorial! I didn't know about flac format before I watched this.
glad it helped!
Hi Ryan, Thank you so much for the information. All the tips you mentioned were super helpful to me. I’ve been suffering from eye strain for a couple of years and couldn’t figure out exactly what was causing it. After watching your video, I realized that I started experiencing symptoms right when I switched to a new monitor. So, it’s very likely due to polarization, as you mentioned in your video. However, I live in a very small town, and it’s impossible for me to physically go to a store to test which monitors have the correct polarization with polarized glasses. So, I was wondering if by any chance you have a list of monitors that don’t cause eye strain, besides the ones you mentioned in your video, or maybe a link online with recommendations. I’m determined to change my monitor, but I can’t seem to find a good option. Thanks a lot for everything and keep up the great work,
Glad my video could help! I don't have any list of monitors that didn't cause me eye strain. Only the ones that I mentioned in the video. The monitor that I'm currently using, that works well for me, is the: AOC Q32E2N monitor
Nice
thanks!
Great This will be good for my blender tutorial, I've been having some audio difficulties, thanks!, now i guess i can try out this new app, thanks once again 🙂
welcome! Hope it helps
Yh
just finished watching your video on eyestrains, for me it was eye dryness so I had to keep blinking and constantly drip water droplets in my eyes to make them wet again, but the problem is gone now, but my sister has it now . hehehe
Ahh yeah, for dry eyes, blinking more often, and using eye drops can help.
Ive always wanted to know how to do this, thanks for sharing
thanks for watching!
Try gunnar computer glasses they are best❤
I already have prescription glasses that I wear full time now, but thanks for sharing!
Im suffering this issue since 2020
I hope the video will help you.
@@RyanKingVideosure but I want to ask u how much time you can read a book comfortably without eye fatigue
@@utsavnalawade4155 I don't really read books that much. I like to listen to audiobooks instead. Also, I'm now wearing my glasses full time, not just on the computer, because my eye strain has gotten a bit worse. My eye doctor thought I should wear my glasses all the time.
Year, very useful advices. Especially for 3d artists)))/
Glad its useful! This is the video I wish I had when I first got eye strain, so I wanted to make this detailed video to help out other people. 👍
Really comprehensive guide, thanks Ryan!
you're welcome! Hope you found it helpful!
for eye exercises, I like to watch cross-view and parallel-view images to improve the converge of the eyes
Cool I will check that out.
I think the problem with polarization is only in LCD displays, If you have a oled screen. It should not have polarization. So maybe it will not cause you eye strain.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this😁
You're welcome!
When you mentioned the blue light for the screen, it reminded me of the Night Mode built into Windows 10, as the screen goes slightly yellow, and activates at night as well.
Oh cool! Yeah, using that mode should give the same effect to block blue light. Also, I think its called night mode, because looking at lots of blue light in the evening can make it hard for your body to fall asleep.
Are most of your monitors 24 inches, I noticed you mentioned getting 27 inch and 32 during the video, I once heard from a person called Steven Christopher, a channel he has called Steve's Tutorials, (he does both Blender and Unreal Engine Tutorials) he mentioned most PC users use 24 Inch monitors?
My main monitor is a 32 inch, and my vertical monitor is a 27 inch. I think my other two monitors are 24 inch. yeah 42 inch is a pretty standard monitor size.
I use a free Chrome extension called Dark Reader that will convert websites to a dark theme if they do not have one built in. It's not perfect in the colors it chooses sometimes, but it has a lot of options and you can setup exception lists. It's very well done for an extension. I mostly used it when I was reading API docs on a white background while working on projects. It's not so necessary using Blender since I don't have my face in documentation all the time. But the real underlying cause of my eye strain was due to chronic blepharitis. An inflammation of the oil glands in the eyelids. So I would produce lots of tears, but not oily tears. Also caused all sorts of others issues. Eye doctors kept blaming it on my contact lenses and computer use (kept trying to sell me lasik eye surgery - which I implore you not to get). Eyes weren't dry, but the tears were useless and the inflammation caused sensitivity to bright light. They never once mentioned the condition and said the contact lenses were causing the infection. Not true. Easy fix for that I discovered. Careful removal of debris around the eyes before putting in contact lenses in the morning (they make antibacterial spray for that you can buy OTC). Unclogged the oil glands with a warm washcloth compress on eyelids for several minutes while massaging the eyelids gently. A month of that each morning, and the problem never returned. Suffered with that for several years. Extreme photosensitivity. Sorry for the essay; I felt the need to write that since the condition appears to elude eye doctors. Maybe it will help someone with a similar issue. Also, if you wear Acuvue contact lenses, then I recommend "Blink dry contacts lubricating eye drops for soft and RGP lenses". This is made by the same company that make the lenses, and does wonders if your eyes get dry while after wearing them late into the night or if you fall asleep with them.
Thank you for the informative video. I watched it all the way through. Keep it up! You have revealed yourself as a well-rounded individual and perhaps provided others with an example of how diverse their lives can be. I would like to learn a little more about your main job as a 3D artist. Maybe something like "A Day in the Life of Me." :)
thanks for watching! And thanks for the video idea. 👍
❤
thanks!
Thanks for this I also have the same problem
Hope the video helps you out!
I’m loving the new updated Blender 4
Yes Blender 4.0 has some great new features!
@@RyanKingVideo I'm still kinda a 'green belt' when it comes to knowledge of Blender, even though I've got over 22 years of experience in 3D. But I'll nail it. I really want to start character animating again, so apparently that side of Blender has also developed quite a lot. Anyway Ryan, always a pleasure talking to you. Keep well, have a superb week ahead.
Hi, Ryan. Have you hosted a podcast about the rapidly developing artificial intelligence? I am studying blender animation and the rest and this topic bothers me a lot. Thanks
No, sorry I don't have a Podcast
I am guilty of that, too... And constantly hunchung over. Thank you for this video, I will definitely try to be more aware of your tips.😊
Thanks for checking it out. I hope the video helps!
This will help a lot of upcoming digital artists to manage their health while working on the computer. Thanks for making this.
Thanks for commenting! First comment on this new UA-cam channel. 😀 I really hope the video helps people! I have had so much eye strain the past few years, but after figuring out that issue with light polarization of certain monitors, that I talk about in the video, my eye strain is so much better now.
@@RyanKingVideoI’m glad that you decided to share your tips with us from your experience online so people can have better health from it. Also it is an honour to be the first comment 🙂
I also have some eye strains will using a computer, thanks alot
