Have you heard of any of these books?

Does bob Jones University prohibit interracial dating?

When I was in the dorms, late 90s....music was really over- the - top. No Contemporary Christian music. It was basically Hymns, the Wilds and Ron Hamilton....or classical instruments. I had roommates who had Disney cd rejected because it had songs from Lion King and Aladdin. We had to take all cds and cassettes down to the dorm supervisor to be checked. We all laughed about it. That was over 20 years ago. I know BJU is not as tight now, and I think it was great! I always agreed with them about music that was too worldly. I felt like the stance on CCM was too over- the- top. That is just me. The people at BJ are so friendly and the campus is beautiful. I will always be thankful. ( I was in the Academy as a dorm student in Mary Gaston). I am so glad you are having a good experience there.

I visited Bob Jones this year and it was amazing. Our guide was great, she took us everywhere we wanted to see. I play the organ, and I got to try out the organ at War Memorial Chapel! I got accepted this month, I'll be starting in the fall!

Hi! I just toured and visited campus for the first time on Monday. I was able to sit in on a Bible Doctrines class (it might have been part 2). I think I might have caught a glimpse of you later in the evening for half a second as you walked by, but it could have been someone else entirely. 😂

Sorry, I had another question about the dress code. Is there a place to swim on campus, and if so, what are the requirements for swimwear? I was not able to find anything about it in the handbook.

Love your college videos! "Make much of Christ." That is a good thing to remember. It also helps me to remember that we do what we do for Christ's glory and not for own glory (like the verse in your video, Colossians 3:23). Someone once gave me an example that stuck with me. Us being like mirrors has been a helpful analogy for me. We are to constantly reflect the light of Christ into others (not our own goodness or perfection; Christ's). And when we get praise and gratitude for the things that we do, we are to deflect that and turn it to praise of Christ and His goodness. Hopefully I worded that as well as I did in my brain. The person who gave me that analogy definitely worded it way better! 💜

Hey, thank you so much for this video. It's very helpful. BJU is one of the schools I'm looking at for this upcoming fall and I will be visiting soon. 🙂 I had a few questions, though. Are skirts/dresses required for chapel attire or does class business casual attire suffice? And also, do you have any recommendations for pants styles? I wear jeans pretty much all the time except to church, so I'm not quite sure what to look into if I do choose BJU.
