United States
Приєднався 13 лип 2013
A channel that provides an honest review of Transformers related products, with a specific focus on the Generation 1 line from the 1980s. I'll also review other toys as they are acquired, such as the GoBots.
Is Transformers Legacy United Nucleous Really Worth the Hype for Collectors?
Today we take a look at Nucleous, the latest Armorizer figure in the Transformers toy line. Essentially a repaint and retool of a previously released figure, Nucleous is also a reference to the original G1 toyline.

MIND-BLOWING Transformers Legacy United Animated Motormaster Review
Переглядів 4014 годин тому
Today we take a look at the latest release of Motormaster, this time from the Transformers Animated series. The Legacy United version of the Stunticon Leader is a retool of the earlier released Animated Optimus Prime. The character though was inspired by professional wrestlers from the 1980s and 1990s.
Transformers Legacy United Ferak review
Переглядів 3014 днів тому
Today we take a look at Ferak, a character more feature in the comics. This figure is a weapons engineer for the Decepticons, and is an exclusive to Wal-Mart stores. Larry and I would also like to express our sympathies over the passing of voice actress Morgan Lofting, famous for portraying the Baroness in GI JOE.
Transformers Legacy United Energon Galvatron review
Переглядів 3621 день тому
After we celebrate eating turkey, we shall take a look at Galvatron from the Transformers Energon series. It's hard to not refer to this toy as a turkey, since it is essentially a repaint of Energon Megatron released earlier this year.
Transformers Legacy United Geocron review
Переглядів 22Місяць тому
Today we take a look at Geocron, another figure from the Infernac Universe. While Hasbro and Takara made an effort to make him resemble characters from one of the Japanese anime series, he is still a cheap retool of a figure from earlier in the year.
Transformers Legacy United Armada Galvatron review
Переглядів 18Місяць тому
Now that I'm really stocked up on Legacy United toys, we shall start reviewing them with the Armada version of Galvatron. Essentially a repaint and slight retool of Armada Megatron from last year, this version of Galvatron leaves a lot to be desired.
The MIND-BLOWING LEGO GI JOE Bundle You've Been Waiting For
Переглядів 136Місяць тому
Many of you have been waiting for months for this upload, and now we are ready to unveil quite a lot of GI JOE and COBRA vehicles (and one playset) all totally built from LEGO bricks. Let me know in the comments which ones you would love to see a more comprehensive review of.
Transformers Generation 1 Mirage review
Переглядів 20Місяць тому
Wrapping up our look at the original 1984 lineup, we have Mirage. Arguably one of the most popular characters, Mirage has an impressive toy with cool abilities from the different media.
Transformers Generation 1 Sunstreaker review
Переглядів 67Місяць тому
Since we looked at his brother last week, it seems only fitting to review Sunstreaker this week. This G1 figure was also as popular as his brother Sideswipe, partially due to being an alternate Lamborghini.
Transformers Generation 1 Sideswipe review
Переглядів 322 місяці тому
Today we take a look at the Generation 1 version of Sideswipe, best known as the Lamborghini Transformer. This popular figure from the 1984 line is also one of the most fragile toys.
Transformers Generation 1 Wheeljack review
Переглядів 162 місяці тому
Today we take a new look at Wheeljack, the Mechanical Engineer. Famous for having glowing "ears" whenever he spoke, Wheeljack was also known for impressive driving and building many things that often exploded.
Transformers Generation 1 Prowl review
Переглядів 222 місяці тому
Today we take an updated look at Prowl, the Autobot car that mainly served as their military strategist and as second in command of the Autobots. This classic and popular figure is difficult to find, and certainly a prize among collectors.
Transformers Generation 1 Ratchet review
Переглядів 722 місяці тому
This month we shall take a look at the last of the Autobot Cars from the 1984 Generation 1 line. First up is the team medic Ratchet. Like Ironhide he does not resemble his cartoon counterpart, but the toy does have an interesting history.
Transformers Generation 1 Bumper review
Переглядів 282 місяці тому
Wrapping up our look at the Generation 1 minivehicles, we are looking at Bumper, also known as Bumblejumper. This figure was added to pad up the first year wave of toys, but since he was only on select Bumblebee or Cliffjumper cards he had no real history until much later.
Transformers Generation 1 Huffer review
Переглядів 443 місяці тому
Our next minivehicle to review from 1984 is Huffer, a construction engineer for the Autobots, and probably the most depressed character of all the Transformers due to his homesickness for Cybertron.

Transformers Generation 1 Frenzy & Laserbeak review
Larry, you're welcome to come over to have fish and shrimp.
Motormaster, the Stunticon. Isn't he one who wanted to run the decepticons over Megs and beat OP instead of Megs!
The G1 version was like that, and a major league bully as well to his troops. Seems they toned that down a bit with this one.
@@sparkster1701 yeah apparently he's a real AH. So I read.
@@Crasher1982 You're correct on that.
@@sparkster1701 Yup.
Larry needs to meet with B.A. Baracas for the best in homemade weapons out of junk lying around. Have a great week.
We shall, though I would dread Larry finding junk built weapons. Then again, he's also seen me play Dead Rising 2 where that was a feature. He certainly doesn't need any ideas.
btw RIP Morgan Lofting.
I had hoped to meet her at JoeFest last year. She cancelled just before, and was supposedly set up for this year.
@@sparkster1701 I'm sorry you won't get the chance to meet her.
@@Crasher1982 Thanks.
@@sparkster1701 YW, my YT friend. :) That's what friends are for.
This one looks much better than the Galvatron, haha. I think Ferak looks rather impressive.
That doesn't take much.
@@sparkster1701 True. Ha!
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, Sparkster and Larry. Btw Galvatron he rather small in this figure, isn't he? Ha.
Quite true. How the mighty have fallen.
@@sparkster1701 Sad to see that, especially for TF's fans. Oh, Galvatron.........le sigh. Or something.
@@Crasher1982 Well, at his price point they were the least expensive toys in the series. Since Hasbro has been reducing the effort on them (going cheap with repaints or reissuing them again), these small figures won't be available anymore. That's the real thing to be sorry for.
Geocron is so small compared to Larry.
Yes he is. Unfortunately, there will only be 1 other modern Transformer like that.
Holy crap that’s cool. I love that havoc and night force whale. Thank you for the shoutout.
Now you see why it took me so long to get this ready. I missed out on getting a regular WHALE, but I do like how the Night Force one turned out.
The Crossfire, and skystriker
Nice choices.
I'll vote for two to start with, the Demon Tank and Larry's favorite.
Thank you for your selections. I look forward to seeing if you'd like more.
The Wolverine, hell all of them. They all look amazing
I'm glad you like them all. The work done by the designers is rather impressive.
Cool 😎
Glad you liked it.
Wow!! Amazing work!
Thanks! Are there any that you'd like to see get a full review?
@@sparkster1701 I would love to see that killer well
@@CobraCommander482 I'll see what I can do, after I get some more results.
@@sparkster1701 cool can’t wait
Amazing work you Joe
Thank you. Would you like to see any of them get a full review?
"live underwater" Make sure you know how to swim, Larry, you and Mirage.
Larry can't quite swim as well as normal penguins. He should practice more instead of always watching 007 movies with me.
@@sparkster1701 Then he better learn, hadn't he? :D
@@Crasher1982 True. Either that or I'll get him a bunch of lifeguard buoys he can carry. Those might look better than the orange inflatables.
@@sparkster1701 sounds like a plan. :)
We love Larry
I think Larry is getting a bigger fanbase.
@@sparkster1701 for sure
@@sparkster1701 Definitely.
Don't worry, Larry. I like you cause you're beautiful. :) You and Sunstreaker.
Larry loves the praise.
@@sparkster1701 :) I hope Sunstreaker does too :)
Yes, Larry, he'd look good in black...But red with a little black looks good too. Imo.
Funny though that the Generation 2 version of Sideswipe was indeed black in color.
@@sparkster1701 Nice! I imagine he does look good in black.
@@Crasher1982 He does, but the weapons were done in bright neon colors.
Hehe Larry......he's always cute.
That's his idea of striving for perfection.
I like prowl
Cool! I think it would've been interesting to have seen his role as second in command explored more in the animated series.
Second in command Prowl looks pretty cool! :)
Quite true, and many of the modern versions have done him well.
@@sparkster1701 indeed.
Good review. I didn't have much love for that toy as it looked really strange in "robot" mode. Fragile for a G1 is really saying something. I am sure if I just look at one it will break. In addition to being a trademark, I also thought Red Cross is not allowed to be used as a weapon. If he has guns, I don't think he is allowed to used the Red Cross symbol. Thanks for the review. I hope you and Larry have a great week.
True, but I've seen it also changed in other media. The rerelease of the SNES Jurassic Park game recolored the cross on all the medkits from red to green. A local convention around here also used a red cross as their symbol and they were forced to change it.
Ratchet the medic. Well everyone needs a medic. I bet he'd be good friends with the gobot Rest-Q.
Never seen those before
Nor had I before receiving them.
There are actually bigger versions of these two
Thanks for telling me. I was not aware of the larger versions.
@@sparkster1701 Happy to help
@@TheRealJoshuaTheLegend Much appreciated and thanks!
Gosh, Bumper is so little and cute! :)
That he is, though many will say Larry could top him in cuteness.
@@sparkster1701 He could. Seriously.
These guys are so complicated. The toy is too much for this man, I don't know how kids are supposed to figure these things out. Thanks. Have a great week.
I agree. It took me a little bit to understand the instructions. Hearing that these figures are also rather fragile didn't help either.
I had this guy but one of his little smokestacks broke off. My transfomers broke at a much higher rate than the other toys. Thanks for posting. Have a great week.
I can relate, as my original Huffer was decapitated.
I've always had a soft spot for our resident Autobot complainer. Huffer was my very first Transformer way back in 84'/85'. Always happy to see videos dedicated to him.
@@omarquijada9979 Thank you.
"Gears" is a pretty lazy name for a robot. I guess they can't all be "Optimus Prime" Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
We shall. Gears was also used as the code name for a GI JOE character at the end of it's run.
Larry, you are definitely cuter than those two guys. Have a great week.
We will. You as well.
Happy Birthday to Mary Shelley. Belated but I don't think she will notice.
True, but it is the thought that counts.
Yes Larry! Take the illegal booze and go with it lol
Better make sure Larry doesn't have some of it hiding around here. No telling what sort of mischief he'd get into...
@@sparkster1701 yes you better. xD
Skywarp has a special place in my heart because I had him going up and 1 of the first Decepticons I ever owned! Currently bought a reissue of G1 Skywarp repainted in G1 cartoon colors and was a Walmart exclusive released last year although I ordered him on eBay since I couldn't find him in my Walmart stores. I also have G1 Starscream & Thundercracker in G1 colors also that were Walmart exclusives although I got Starscream at Walmart, Thundercracker I bought on eBay.
That's cool. I didn't have Skywarp until I was an adult collector. I can agree with how difficult it is to find any of the toys in stores. Some of these second hand prices are ridiculous.
Nice try Larry. Good like on your next video.
That one is pretty cool.
That she is.
lol what’d ya know it worked
Larry and I did not expect Ravage to fall so easily, especially on camera.
@@sparkster1701 I didn’t either. Made me laugh
@@0u812343 Well, we do enjoy bringing laughs along with the reviews.
He is big for a mini.
True, but the same size of the other modern remakes of the mini vehicles. Still, I do prefer the G1 originals as they were extremely easier to transform.
Those cassette guys are always fun. Thanks.
You're welcome.
Gears reminds me of both Optimus Prime and the gobot Road Ranger. The colors, of course. :)
I can see that too.
I saw your Chanel name at the brick shack Ontario
That's cool. I'm guessing somebody there may have seen some of my LEGO GI JOE builds here on the channel, since I've never been to Ontario. Hopefully someone there will try to reach out to me. I'd certainly love to hear from them.
Im wanting to get decent g1 looking transformers that look close to these but are better. What line would be good. The masterpiece?
Masterpiece is a good line to look into, but some of them can be expensive. Hence why I only have one (Lambor aka Sideswipe), but that's also due to Larry.
@@sparkster1701 thanks. They look close to the original to me. I don’t plan to get a lot just my favs
Sad when people and characters are totally uninterested in an (evil) cause but are forced to do it anyway. Poor Thundercracker.
Quite true. I find that it makes him a more interesting character though.
@@sparkster1701 It does. That's how I think about Crasher, tbh. That she really didn't want to be there with Cy-Kill. The episode "Et Tu Cykill" shows her lack of enthusiasm. I think multidimensional characters like her and Thundercracker are more interesting.
@@Crasher1982 Quite true.
Don't blame you for keeping a distance, Larry. LOL.
Don't believe I'll see Larry scoot away faster.
@@sparkster1701 hehe!
You mean Rumble & Laserbeak.
If you're going by the G1 cartoon, yes that is correct. However, since the toy is labelled as Frenzy I have to refer to this one as such. I take no side on the Rumble/Frenzy color debate since it flip flops a handful of times.
@@sparkster1701Well you don't have to, you call him Rumble on your video review.
I remember the cassette guys were fun but haven't played with one is close to 40 years. Hope you and Larry enjoy yours. I am tempted to get one of those reissue Soundwaves with cassettes.
We shall. I hope that I'll be able to find that reissue Soundwave so I can review it.
Robot poop is the worst larry. Nice video
Thanks. That skit was totally improvised, as Laserbeak wasn't supposed to fall off. I couldn't totally hold back the laughter at what all happened.
I remember my cousin had both the Laserbeak and Ratbat releases as well. I was so young at the time to notice the differences.
It wasn't until I was an adult collector before I realized that Frenzy was offered twice. I had the set with Ratbat as a child.
@@chadkimmel8957 He's lucky I'm having a difficult time tracking down Ratbat in good condition & complete.
Nice job Larry! Awesome review
Thanks!!
Very cute
I'm glad you like it. Please check out some of the others. Many more are coming in the future.
Another win. Thanks for posting. Have a great week. Another video from HCC788 would be a treat.
You're welcome. I agree that I would love to see HCC788 do another video, or even the weekly live stream.
