About Skip White Performance
I'm sure many of you have noticed there are 2 high performance engine builders in Kingsport, TN with similar names, leading to a great amount of confusion.
We are Skip White Performance, NOT White Performance and Machine.
Due to the name similarity many customers looking for us online inadvertently find them, thinking we are the same company. Definitely not...there is no connection between the two companies. We don't have a problem with free enterprise (competition). However, when the competition builds their foundation on such things as a name similarity and their supposedly long history of being in business, then we think it's about time we set the record straight.
We have owned White Performance since 2003, with the exception of the machine shop, which was owned by Fred White at the time. He continued to operate the machine shop and build engines for us while we continued selling online under the eBay user ID of skipwhite and the eBay store name of

Will you guys please start listing the specs such as: Compression, heads, cam, bore and stroke?
Do you guys build LS engines?
That torque 💥
Hell yea that’s my father-in-law’s motor!
I want to build that myself using your parts. Can you list a parts kit
“There it is! The BBC!”
Looks good.
What heads?
Prolly AFR 195s
@@PHILLY214 You're prolly right but why not the 220s?
How would this engine perform compared to the milder 582 you make with hydrolic lifters, and 730hp. im planning on putting it in a Street Trans am. Is the drivablility in lower RPS much different between the two enignes?
What type of engine is it??
Overpriced
Small block 427
Dat der is a stout SOB
That's a bad dude right there 😎
Damn. That thing was a torque monster down low. Not bad at all.
I love mine
You have some bad oil pressure issues going on with this one. 27lbs idling. Dropping fast as RPMs increase ???
it stayed above 60lbs the entire way through the rev range, you dont need 80lbs of oil pressure boomer its just fine
Bad ass congratulations
Nice !!
Nice.. thank you for your knowledge and videos USA 🇺🇸 TRUMP 2024
Right on !!!! Sounds great !!!
Strong! What cam?
Bad ass
Unique build guys keep up the great work.
I can’t thank Skip White and all the amazing staff who put this SBC 421 together. Quality parts combined with decades of experience = quality builds and attention to detail which is simply amazing and the results certainly show it!!! 🙏 Thank you!!!
Very nice !
Do you guys ever do anything with any LS's?
Not that I've seen
roy has a bbc
I Have his 434 642 hp 598 tq.. Been running it for 4 years on the street and many track days.. Its awesome !!!
Wish y’all would let us know what heads and cam on these builds. Is this your nkb and one of recommended Howard’s setups?
i think if at web site they recommend what they call options for each engine build that they sell
@@smilsmff yeah it’s nice to just see videos and curves I’m about to purchase heads and cam to finish my build and I have been putting these parts together for 7-8 years on disability income so I don’t rush any decision. But it’s time to build this thing 🤣
I couldnt even afford the gas that thing uses...
Dam!!
Stump Puller, shift @ 4,100 😉
I couldn't even afford the fuel it uses...
How much???
North of $30k
You should stop testing with vacuum pump, most do not run and gives a real different power output.
Vac on the exhaust? You could put a magnehelic gauge on it and see if it's going above atomphere, if so it's not keeping up. Anything below atmosphere and I figure it's helping the engine, but you'd need to do this on a straight piece of "duct" with non turbulent airflow
Any Info on motor. Pricing, parts that's in it etc.
If ONLY you took payments.....AND could install!
How much?
It was nice to meet your team today. Thanks for the nice walkthrough of your shop. Motor sounds and looks great! Can’t wait to get it in my Chevelle.
Love my new 383 These guys done a great job. Thanks Larry
Now that's impressive.... HORSEPOWER for ever...
Are those afr heads? Or y'all's nkb heads?
This is going to rip! 💨
Glad I found this video! We are just about wrapped up putting that engine in Scott’s Camaro 😎
wow that thing is a monster! what heads are you running?
Love a 40x sbc
look White if all you are going to is show us is one pull with no spec on the build. then just pass on the whole thing your power numbers are not that great any way .
Another Stump Puller... No build details... no fun.
Need to talk through the details on the motors and application....
Are those typical numbers? Can that be street driven? Last but not least how much?
I say around 20g plus.oil pan to carb
The amount of builds turned out is impressive, Saturday night special? looks like that one is built for a nice long duration street life.
