The only thing missing in this movie were the Dalton brothers. It was marvelous, and till the end I hoped for a team up between Daltons and Luke, I have dreamed of such comic or episode since 2001 when I started to watch the Sunday morning Lucky Luke cartoon.
I see your point . I watched an interview with the movie director who said that they actively avoided the Daltons ( and the penitentionary dog Rin Tin Can) because "they take a lot of space" and he wanted to focus on other characters. He added "maybe for a sequel" but that never came to pass.
