U should learn some Spanish too, Spanish it's a second most spoken language on the world and many countries speaks spanish, Italian only is spoken in italy and san marino, no that useful, Spanish is one of the most useful languages, and Spanish pronunciation is easier than french, and even easier than german
Hi Helin, first of all thank you for sharing this video with such valuable information about language learning. These days I started doing what you said in this video, repeating sentences from English youtube videos. I actually went to an English course a long time ago and got a C1 certificate but I feel that my active vocabulary is stuck between B1 and B2 levels. So I want to improve my active vocabulary instead of my passive vocabulary to gain fluency at least at C1 level. So can you recommend me some native British and American youtubers to expose myself natural English? Which youtubers are suitable for my situation? Thank you in advance :)

I'm currently learning German (the language of some of my ancestors) but I think my biggest issue so far is consistency (or lack thereof). I kinda feel inspired right now but that inspiration lasts a couple of months before I sleep on it and start focusing on something else. I've accomplished quite a lot, though. I've reached an A2 level starting from scratch in half a year (could've been less than that, too) and I'm proud of myself. I can't figure how someone can speak so many languages! You're truly an inspiration for your viewers :)
I am so happy that you liked my video and were inspired! Great job on your accomplishment, you should be proud of yourself!! Keep going and never give up <3
Wow, I didn't know you don't have a W sound in Turkish. Before you mentioned it I noticed you pronounced some Ws as Vs and started to wonder what your native language was.
@@agustina_manoban yes I still make that W sound like V somehow.. in french they don’t have W sound either, and in german it’s V like in English. So I personally thought English would be different
You are such a Pretty girl 😊i like this informative vedio👍
ironically i am going to the netherlands and while english may have sufficed in the past, starting in january of 2025 for my job i need a B2 level of dutch. thank goodness, i speak german and am a native english speaker - so the change over isn't too bad.
Well, if you are planning to stay there for a long period of time, it is nice and kind to learn the local language, I wish you the best of luck for your job!
its the best and logical way that ive heard so far especially after mid 20s with busy life :) consume and repeat
Yes! Repetition is honestly key
I can speak Italian, English, Chinese Mandarin, and currently learning some Spanish because in my hostel there are so many people from Argentina 😁
❤
I'm currently learning thai so this video came in handy, really want to do turkish next. I'm obsessed with Türkiye. Looking forward to more vids! :)
I will try my best, thank you for your comment, glad to help
Please make videos giving tips for those who are learning Turkish? I loved your video 😊
As it is my native language, I believe it might be difficult for me to give actual "learning" advice. However, I can recommend you sources, and how to study :)
@ this is going to be amazing 🥰 I have trouble finding materials and channels to practice and immerse myself in ☺️🙏🏻
I think that as a strategy its ok to define what is must and what is not and set limits, but as a tactic its better to decide on a budget of spending for each month. And to save money i recommend to buy on sale and not to wait until you finish the product.
Yes, a budget for spending is good, but then just because I have spare budget, I spend it. Instead of that, I just set the things I will not buy, and then I will know what not to buy. Buying in sale is a good idea, but then I have too much just because I bought so many because there was a sale. If I didn't need it, I won't buy it :(
Yes, keeping consistency is the most difficult part!! Being fangirl/fanboy over something is the best way to be good at certain language. Also, what I feel about learning language is that language itself shouldn't be the goal. Very ironic.
Being a fangirl saved me when I started learning English and I loved One Direction!
@linhee0 same girl
More video about languages
I will in the future, but for now I am posting things that represent me the most.
Correction: Why do people sometimes say, "If you want to learn a language, you have to know why?" What if I say, "I want to learn English just because," or "I want to learn English because I like it"? Is that valid? Well, it feels valid to me. --- It's absolutely valid! While knowing a specific reason can provide extra motivation, wanting to learn "just because" or "because you like it" is perfectly fine. In fact, learning for enjoyment or curiosity can keep things light and help you stay engaged. The important thing is that you feel connected to your reason, even if it's as simple as enjoying the process itself.
I completely agree. But even if you're learning for a hobby, it is STILL a reason why. And if you actually want to be fluent in that language, and if you don't have a reason or a goal, I don't believe that you will be consistent, and consistency is quite important in learning languages.
Your voice resonated with mine.actually no any voice matched like yours...it helps so much more than i 've already done...lucky me! Pls do more english speaking contents... Oh my...by chance got this
I think having a clear motivation is a great start! Really makes the “discipline” part of the saving more clear. I actually haven’t been buying new makeup for a long time only refills since ive already collected the goth essentials as you know lmao. Concert tickets has been hard to save from 💀 FOMO is real and forget tickets commuting is insane, and staying too if im out of town. So perhaps that is smth I will try to limit a little bit more lmao unless its smth already local. Again takeouts and coffee shop coffee is what ive been paying attention to for the last month 👍 Best of luck ❤
Thank you for your comment. I believe that motivation is the key for any goal haha, I have bought/ renewed my makeup collection in the summertime, I have all of the necessities and now I don't "need" anything extra, maybe like a couple glosses or something... FOMO is real for sure, but I think if I delay one or two years just because I can't delay gratification ( I suck at this) I will be really sad ahaha... takeout and coffee OUT, grabbing my coffee at home IN

Will be there any videos about the languages that you learned? For example, how to learn German, how I learned German?
I will try my best! But with German I have been learning for a quite while and I still haven't reached my potential. Maybe I might do "study with me :german" or something. We'll see!
This channel will rapidly and exponentially grow. This is proper content. It's amazing that this is your 8th video

great to hear that you like it
I was actually surprised when you said that English wasn’t your native language. I couldn’t even tell that you weren’t a native speaker.
Yea, people do say that, but sometimes I make mistakes :( I am still practicing English haha
So I like this video. It was good. Very informative. However, I looked at the rest of your videos and they are all different. I don’t mine subscribing if I knew what direction your channel is going. Is your going to be a language channel or a cat channel??
Hi, thank you for your response. As I do live in Turkiye, I see so many stray cats, and they're a part of my daily life. In this channel, you could see videos about languages, books, my daily life ( which includes cats, books, films and languages). So depending on what you expect, you can decide! Hope this helps.
@ Thanks for the response. I subscribed.
If you come to The Netherlands, English will save you. But Dutch... will make us Dutchies love you 😘I'm looking forward to your next videos, and since I'm learning Turkish, I hope you'll also share tips for learning this beautiful language.
@@businessblogschool-jessiev660 yes, for sure! i gave that example because in Europe the netherlands is the only exception where you can actually do EVERYthing in English. Personally, I think it is respectful to learn the local language and I would expect a foreigner in Turkiye to speak a little Turkish, just out of curiosity and well.. respect!! but I hope I can help you with your Turkish!!
@@linhee0 Thanks for your response, I hope to hear you speaking Turkish someday on your channel. About The Netherlands, sometimes 'our' English is overestimated. Outside the big cities, and especially the elderly, don't speak English. In Amsterdam, it's true: everyone can help you in English. This summer, my parents went on a day trip to Amsterdam. They don't speak English, and the waiters didn't speak Dutch. In restaurants and stores, there are many expats working. My mom was shocked... 😎

It's still helps a ton just to be able to read and comprehend what they are saying very well to speak. It will still help with speaking because you will know the grammar and have a big vocabulary. So if you speak last it should come pretty quickly. A lot quicker than if you don't know many words and get stumped by the grammar.
@@Hellenicheavymetal that is true! but the more you speak in the beginning, the more confident and comfortable speaking is, so it’s definitely important to find the balance
