Old video, but that's a nice setup you got there with a lot of room to add all sorts of cool things. Those little power poles paired with a front pole are perfect for lighter boats. I've got a much larger jon boat and it works absolutely great even in some fairly crappy conditions. Honestly I think as average fisherman who aren't fishing tournaments year round, we've gotten too unnecessarily big, heavy, overpowered and expensive. The older I get, the more I appreciate my jon boat, or even the older boats we had when I was a kid, over my expensive glass boat and I find myself fishing much more with it. God forbid you have to manually re-trailer that thing if the motor goes out. It's a small catastrophe and a workout, and you can literally almost buy brand new small engine for the price it takes to fix em sometimes.

Hey you still use that boat I did same thing to my 12 foot boat except I had the boat shop in Ruston Louisiana make mount for stick steering and front controls on it but I got a 20 mercury 4 stroke but I want the trim and tilt on it mine will go a flat 35 with just me in it plus I had those beaver pods welded on the back how does your trim and tilt work going to move my anchor pole to front of boat cause of the pods on back yell back at me bout tilt and trim
What model tilt and trim I have a 15 hp and where did you purchase it?
Its the TH marine CMC PT-35 tilt and trim. I got mine from cabelas, but that was years ago. I think now you can get them from wholesalemarine.com. other than there its hard to find in stock now days.
Needed a 15 inch shaft motor is 20 you got hosed
Shoulda went with a Bobs!! CMC is trash and don’t/won’t hold up if your in salt water !!
That must be scary with a 15 HP. My 12ft V bottom is rated for a 10 max.
yeah, she gets movin quick! i have a till handle extender, i stand up in the center and run it like a skiff. I can get around 27MPH.
How strong of current do you think that Power Pole could hold you on a river? Sweet little boat, I like it!

The jack plate cost more than the boat..
About half lol, but for the ease of use its worth it. I was tired of having to manually lift my motor when I was fishing shallow.

Zac Nead not bolted on yet!!! The spot that it clamps to is super thick and just haven’t gotta around to drilling through yet... it’s clamped on really good though I’ve never had and issues.
EZDUZITadventures the CMC kick plates are very very hard they do not Flex when you tighten your motor on therefore there is no give and it can slide right off unlike the transom of a boat when you clamp it down it has a little grip in the wood is meant to sink in a little bit and it helps it grip if you were to hit a log or something at the right angle with that motor on like that on the CMC it will slip right off I've seen it happen multiple times and your motor will be in the bottom of the river LOL just trying to help a guy out

Robert kaigler it’s a 36 inch wide bottom but the top of it the width gunnel to gunnel is 52 at the widest part!!

I ordered honda 8 kicker manual purposely so I could mount it on cmc power tilt. It sets it back 5 inches and gives 84 degrees. Thanks for showing how you mounted.

I didn't know they made tilt and trim units like that thank you for posting this . I have a Mercury 35 hp without tilt and trim and I was wanting to put it on my Bass Tracker so this gives me a great option Thank you again...

Rick Stuckey it’s a roller steer so the handle and throttle are on the left side of the motor, the handle is folded back on the video!! And the power pole was 549.99 I believe and then 99 for the pole it’s self they are sold separately!!
