My new little dittie called "Fear of Falling" features my Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster and my Squier Telecaster. The bass is by Harley Benton - a copy of Paul McCartney's Hofner cavern bass and a Harley Benton SC550 tribute gotah is lurking the mix too.

Thanks Jimmy might expand this and do a connie flick
Music selection Superb
Thanks my friend - im going to do something with Connies a longer film
Very nice Peter. Where is the scene at 2:07 filmed from?
Happy new year Paul. From Kilteery Pier I'm pretty sure with the top end of my Lumix which has 24 to 1200 focal range.
Beautiful My friend
I heard about these crashes at the time and read about them in "Cleared for disaster"
Hello from sunny and warm St. Petersburg Florida! Want to visit Ireland and London but it us sooooo cold! 🌴
BTW my favorite vintage aircraft is the Connie! I am an Av-geek.
Hi there. Been in both St Petersburgs many time. The beautiful American one and the beautiful Russian one. Anytime after April is good. Swim in the sea...Great for your health. Be very careful as there is a reason behind all these drones in New Jersey...something is unfolding. Be careful.
Beautifully put together ...I am Irene O Deas daughter....she never really spoke about it ....possibly as a result of what she witnessed that night.... May they all rest in peace.
Fabulous close up video. 😊
Why thank you kindly
Thanks for sharing this amazing video! Great content! I really enjoyed it! Looking forward to watching your next video! 👏 🎥 👍
Respect.
Thanks so much. Stat tuned.
I think that is very good Peter. Okay, I did spot a few little jumps but they don't matter. It was great to see all the ships in the anchorage. Motivates me to get off my arse and head down there some day when the blue skies and fine weather returns.
Cheers amigo. Don't think my mind was fully on the edit. Busy with other stuff too.
Give us a shout anytime
That will be very interesting to watch, did you dive or just the team you worked with. 😊
Just filmed around the team. International group lot of Belgians
What state is she in?
Sorry meant to get back to you. There are excerpts of Lusitania 22 now on this channel.
@@donnlassa sad state alas
@petermcgarrymusicandflying Thanks lots Peter, I will have a look. 😊
Still a beautiful video. 😊
Too kind but the edit was hasty.
@petermcgarrymusicandflying Could you work on it any more?
Ha ! I'm just tired with so much on. Gradually getting back into shipping films. Working on a Lusitania piece I filmed in 2022 with Project 17 dive team and historians will put it up soon.
Never knew of this, those poor people 😢
Continued----is it possible to connect with you on a platform other than facebook?
Dear Patrick, while strolling down memory lane I came across your name as someone who was involved with the John light Lusitania salvage misadventure. I spent a year aboard Kinvarra along side the dock in Kinsale in Company with Light, Roger, Neil, Chuck, the German chef, Al and one other ex-seal diver. During the entire year the only swimming we did was in the local Acton’s hotel-sponsored swimming race in the harbor. What a farce. I I'm trying to locate my madness log for that year. I know I have it somewhere down cellar. I hope this reaches you
So glad I found this video. My name is Natalie. I’m Irish and I’m married to the grandson of Mr. Caporali who died in this plane crash. My father in law was only 2 years old when he lost his father. I now have a son with this name Caporali. Lovely to continue the family name of the man who died in Shannon and now there is also an Irish connection.
Excellent. Many Thanks. Keep up the Good Work.
Life can be cruel. Pity flying was so dodgy when it was a new exciting thing to enjoy.
Great title , beautiful prose and wonderfully read. Thanks Peter.
Great work Peter ... thanks for preserving this piece of history.
No worries my friend
Great interview Peter , very informative and interesting.
I just kept saying....talk to me goose
😂
Nice work Peter. Did you have any trouble with the seagulls, they seemed to be swarming around the tugs.
Well done Peter & Vincent. Great interview.
Superb as always Peter.
Cheers my friend
Great interview, looking forward to Rising Stars
The 1970s were a bit problematic for KLM as well. Ask anybody who was at Tenerife North airport on March 27, 1977...
Fantastic rendition! Bravo!
Massive! 🌊⚡️
Nice work Peter. Like the mixing of ground camera and flying camera.
Cheers Paul. Think it may be the last shipping video for a bit...other stuff on hand.
I, recall when I worked in SRS in the mid 70's the private jet that crashed, Sam Pratt who was a fighter pilot in ww2. came from the ramp to the hangar and said that the fog was so bad that the birds are walking,

Sounds good
Thanks pal...it was only a quick idea to do this.
My father flew from Rome to Cairo with a stop in Athens on a TWA Connie. In 1950 a TWA Constellation crashed on take off from Cairo. There were many crashes at Shannon. Devils Island is not in Tasmania. It's in French Guinea; South America.
@7.21 According Wikipedia did mr Viruly die in august 13th 1986 .... Howcome this discrepancy?
Nice work Peter
Thanks pal. Major struggle here with fading light
I was born Limerick 1952 my Father was a meteorologist at Shannon Airport. Despair not Yeshua Jesus is here no ua-cam.com/video/MMru-6OGv88/v-deo.html this accident is with GOD now, Eire needs to Find Jesus Yeshua again
My dear Sir, the correct word is STEWARD or Stewardess, but NOT (flight attendant) which is not a very good word whatsoever, because the word is facist, and there is no reason whatsoever to utilize the ugly language or word 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I have a comment for the journalist. The correct word for flight deck is COCKPIT, period 🎉🎉🎉😮
Two of the passengers were from my hometown, Bridgewater, Virginia. Mr & Mrs Galen Stinebaugh were members of my home church.
Sad story very well narrated. The cause of the crash would be good to know but no black boxes most likely in those days to assist the investigation. The music soundtrack is very poignant and soothing.Would love to know its title. Thanks for uploading this video.!.
I never knew about this fatal accident, thoughts and prayers to the family. Love from Donegal ❤
You might like to look at the two other pan am films on this site. You might find the interview with daughter and grand daughter interesting.
Pan Am never used Croydon airport which was totally inadequate for large 4-engine airliners like the Constellation. When Pan Am started service to London in January 1946, then using the Douglas DC-4, they initially used Hurn Airport, a former RAF base, at Bournemouth, about 100 miles southwest of London. Pan Am flights moved to what is now Heathrow Airport (then known as London Airport) a few months later when it opened in the spring of 1946. The former Hurn Airport is now known as Bournemouth Airport.
I know that now...
Thanks for the very nice video! Well done! Congratulations on the wonderful result. 👏 💯
Nice work Peter, very effective
Cheers Paul. Still tweaking the movement it's a bit rough and I want to do rotation. But it's ok. Must come down your neck of the woods sometime and catch a ship or two. Great location.
They also had a crash in 1954 in Shannon on a Connie. Many crashes in Shannon. Flew on a KLM Connie in 1960 from Milan to Amsterdam. Beautiful planes.
Thank you very much for watching. Just coveted the 70th anniversary of the 1954 Shannon crash. You will find it on this channel.
Didn't you already do an extensive video on this crash last year? Why another one so soon after. Does this one add anything important?
Because of the recent 70th anniversary
