World Class Duck Hunting on Island 34 - Owner, Ruste Via, is taking a 2,600 acre island on the Mississippi River and creating a duck hunters paradise. Located 45 minutes north of Memphis, TN, Island 34 has become a premiere destination for hunters and conservationists seeking an unforgettable waterfowl experience.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
At Island 34, we're addicted to duck hunting. To the point that we're taking a 2,600 acre island and turning it into a duck paradise.
The 2023/24 season was the first season with designated blind locations and guests coming to hunt Island 34. After years of hard work, the fruits of labor are coming to light with some fantastic duck hunts.
Owner, Ruste Via, has a plan to take two of his passions, wildlife conservation and duck hunting, and use them to turn this island into one of the top waterfowl destinations in North America. This is the first look at the evolution of Island 34 since the journey began in 2022!!

9:50 , we need more folks like you making a positive impact on waterfowl!
3 minutes wait, then a couple of commercials. Unscrib
I grew up hunting sunrise. You have one nice farm. That’s why we don’t have ducks on lower Hatchie anymore lol
ALL THAT PLACE IS DUCK AND GOOSE HORDING AND HEN MALLARD SHOOTING
What an incredible thing you guys are doing, love the focus on habitat management!
Thank you!
Just found your channel, incredible thing you’re doing. My channel has a huge focus on duck and dove habitat improvement, but you guys take it to a whole new level. Nice work, new subscriber !
Nice work! Also, check out the lead drake Mallard at 10:11, he's got a blue Pintail bill = Pintail/Mallard Hybrd?
What a beautiful farm
Thank you!!
What a beautiful place and great management program! Not to mention remembering us vets by providing hunts. Bravo Zulu Sir!
Thank you very much!! Lot's of hard work paying off!!
Great photos
Thank you!

Muy fácinantes videos de cazeria amigos saludos chevre caza
Awesome production!
Thank you! The team at Sub 7 does a fantastic job!
That’s awesome that you guys don’t over pressure the island. Ever thought about hunting the river around the island? I bet you could get more hunts in without adding anymore pressure to the island. Awesome blind
Thank you! We have a pretty good rotation of setups for every wind direction which has allowed us to hunt without over pressuring the island. And thankfully, there's plenty of slack in that system so far!
Be glad when you start booking hunt’s
Looking forward to having more people experience this place 😁
Awesome video! 🦆🦆🦆 Love the passion
Thanks! It's easy to do what you love!!
Хорошо бы утки так на КОЗЛОВ поохотились!
Best waterfowl video ive watched in a long time, love it. Island 34, we need more, more videos, i know everone is thinking it as well
Thank you for the kind words!! We will be releasing more in the fall!
I figured everything in that area either flooded too bad or wouldn't hold water but looks like this guy has it figured out. Gonna be impressive to watch.
At what point does the government see that if they don’t take the hunters money and spend it on doing this at the management areas or start losing dollars to people getting out of hunting due to not enough birds…
Love the video! Point of clarification: Duck-use-days are classified as “the amount of ducks an acre can feed ~for one day~”, not ~per day~. An acre of unharvested rice can feed 29,000 ducks for one day, once. But not continually.
I volunteer and assist in a Non-Profit. "Hunters helping heroes" Would love to have a discussion to see if a relationship could be started.
Good two videos so far. I subscribed and am really looking forward to you getting more and more into the science of the why behind the habitat and the the habitat types. I think currently the state waterfowl managers are getting a bad rap for managing for moist soil but few public land hunters understand the why behind moist soil and even less how the money constraints on that side sort of dictate moist soil as the "better" play from a habitat/duck use to cost standpoint.
Awesome ad.😊
I live 10 minutes from where the Hatchie meets the Mississippi just above Island 35. So where is 34? Closer to Osceola?
Love the video's. Let me know if you ever need anyone to come help manage some duck population. Got a 13 yo boy that loves hunting as much as I do. I would just love to see the property.
Thanks for the support! The Island currently isn't open to the public, but we'll let you know when it is!
@@Island_34 Hello good videos i have hunting videos on youtube
Best memories ever. Young men and boys need to be reintroduced to huntin and fishin. I started duck callin for my daddy at age 8.
❤
Qué sean transparentes es lo que nosotros queremos de esta nueva bancada hacia que no vuelvan a caer como cayeron los anteriores Diputados
Ahí si estoy muy de acuerdo contigo
I thought this was peaceful white noises and then they started shooting the ducks 😂
Looks like ya'all already have a damn fine spot.. Can't wait to see it in few years
Thanks! It's only going to get better from here.
Congratulations from Italy, nice video, I've been uploading hunting videos for years and I'm still very far from your level.
Thanks! We appreciate it!
Enjoyed this a lot! Please keep uploading videos and teaching us how to properly develop a good habitat for waterfowl!
Thanks for the support! We'll be releasing another film later this fall.
A great guy doing great things, awesome job Ruste 👍

Thanks so much!
Outfrigginstanding!!! Love the passion!!
Yes! Thank you!
Quality🎉Thanks
Appreciate the support!
This video is very very well done
Thank you!
"I wonder why we don't have the same amount of ducks we used to?".... We do, they're spread out on these private refuges. Not complaining at ALL (I support it), just stating my point.
No the guys using ice melters keepin water open that would natrually be frozen are keepin birds north! Its very ez to recognize that since those have been created the migrations have been altered
We do not have the ducks we had 20 years ago.
@@Swoopdaddyywe don’t have people short stoping is here in northern Illinois and there is still less ducks. Idk if after 100 years of the historic marshes being gone they changed the flyway or what
Personally I haven't seen a real migration in probably 6 yrs where i live. I hunt northern california
Actually duck number are historically down and have been trending that way for sometime now private land has always been a thing and it’s nothing new as for all the idiots saying Ice eaters are holding birds up north I believed all that shit until I followed the migration myself one year
Great video guys keep it up
Thanks! Will do!
I can’t believe how great the quality of this video is. Can’t wait to see more!👍
Thanks so much!!
My guy has the worlds largest comfort conceal and don’t know if he wants to guide😂
I love it it’s like real people not some big production if y’all start renting seat time I’m down!
Glad you enjoyed the film! We're going to imprint ducks for 2 more years and then decide on what we want to do business wise. Appreciate the support!
Absolutely one of the best waterfowl videos in ever made. Love the idea behind the land. Great production quality.
Wow, thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it!! Make sure to subscribe we will be releasing another one in the fall.
