I’m sorry, but that is not very helpful. Some of us have attempted this exam multiple times, completed the course, revised all areas, passed mock exams, yet still failed marginally. A top tip should provide insight specific to this exam, the examining team, its various sections, and how the exam kits provided by reputable tuition providers fall short-they are nowhere near the exam standard. Moreover, the exam is not closely related to accounting but instead heavily relies on mathematics and analytical skills. Please consider all of the above before offering advice to students, as these are the areas where most of us struggle. I speak from personal experience. I’m sure you’re an expert in your subject matter and hoping to see a detailed video on this topic in the future.
This is an insight specific to this exam. There are many more distinct areas that are examined in section C than other Skills papers and you can't ignore topics. You need to look at your MEP on your MyACCA to see what you are failing on in particular. It might be the MCQ areas you are not performing well in and that is down to exam technique and not focussing on the easier MCQs, rushing through those sections and falling for distractors. If its section C then it will be your written skills. You must write in fully explained sentences.
Man Utd scum
MADAM I HAVE SOME QUARIES SEND YOUR INSTA OR NUMBER
what I am a bit confused about is the fact that you didn't use the controllable profit/Controllable net asset formula. The head office decision to upgrade HG without PG will affect the ROI in my opinion. So it will be nice to understand why you chose the formula Profit/Net asset.
From memory you have to answer the question asked ? They will have asked for the calculation based on net profit and net assets, what they say in the narrative . You must not assume in this exam and base your answer on what it should be to be fair or remembering a previous question. This controllable bit will form part of the narrative.
Do you have interest rate hedging video
fantastic, thank you so much. part c was such a headache with the three variables. these exams are so cheeky!
well explained. thank you so much
Thank you well explained
Insightful...thanks
I have failed PM on multiple attempts. I will like to sign up for your class but PM has done a number on me that I have anxiety for signing up. I am keen to clear this paper before moving on to next one. Any advise?
Sign up to my class this week and I can get you through for December.
Thank you so much, I was really struggling with the concept.God bless you:)
Thank you
Where would i get the question so that i follow up with your solution
On the acca CBE platform 👍 look under PM past exam papers for m/j 2024
Hi Jo, I attempted my PM exam yesterday, thankyou so much for your lectures, you really helped me ace section C. I did not expect 14 marks question from scarce resource / make or buy topic , but I managed to ace it, credit to you!!! Stay Blessed !
Thats great to know many thanks
Thanx
Hi Jo, Great video! I am about to begin my applied skills papers and I’d like your advice. Would you advise taking PM and FM at the same time for the June sitting if I begin in March? Or would it be better to give them in isolation. I’ve been following you for some time and your videos seem extremely comprehensive so most likely I’d enroll on your courses through FME (either tuition or platinum). So I’d just like your thoughts if it’s doable or if it’s better to do them separately. I’m a full time student by the way. Thank you!!!
Hi thank you for your comments. If you are a full-time student then 2 papers at a time is absolutely advisable PM and FM great duo.
Thanks mam.
I didn't understand why $0.90 is not subtracted from $5.50 to come up with EX div price 4.6. Why are we assuming $5.50 as ex div price ?
The examining team would clearly tell you the share price was cum div. Here it says a dividend has recently been paid, so it is ex div.
@@jotuffillacca thank you mam for your help.

Thanks Jo! I've been struggling with this ahead of my March PM exam. This video was very useful and I now feel like I've finally got my head around this topic. :)
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you madame! Well explained and I've fully undertood.
Wonderful!
May I please ask you in your last two examples why you ignoring the production fixed cost? FC is realted to production isn't so this should be included right? I understand that if the FC is general we can exclude but in this situation FC is related to production.
this is pricing between 2 divisions, only VC need to be covered as fixed cost are covered by external sales.
why are u using 10% we usually use after tax interest rate na????
I am using the IRR function that automatically calculates the IRR .. you need to learn how to use it . This is not linear interpolation. You layout the cashflows as a NPV and then highlight them and make a guess.. I have just used 10%. You can use any %. The key is getting the cashflows laid out correctly
I do use the. After tax to calculate the interest post tax
KERALA MENTIONED RAAHHHHH
Amazing love the way you teach
Thanks so much 😊
Hi, you had an error. the revised price for soybeans was actually 5.13.
I don't think so ! Its 90% of 5.90 is 5.31
Is it not meant to be 5.7*90%? Because the actual value was revised
@@darshghia Please read the question carefully ... the market price not the actual price was revised. The revised standard is always based on the original standard never the actual price. That's the technique you need to go back and revise your technique.
@@jotuffillacca Hi again, I did, I just forgot to tell you I understood it. I did my pm exam today. Thank you though 🙏
thanks for the wonderful sharing
