What is the tape/film around the edges of the glass pane?

I have film on plastic panes on two 10 paned doors. It’s been on the plastic windows for 20 years and only about 50% of it flakes off if I use my fingernail to pry it off. Anything else would mar the plastic panes. And if I used a solution. Like googone or acetone it would contaminate the bare wood and possibly ruin it. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove film that has been left of plastic panes for years? Thanks for your video.

I made it with woodprix handbooks !

You forgot to fit the handles level with each other 😂

My mouldings are nailed in with panel pins which I cannot remove without seriously damaging the woodwork. Any ideas? Thanks! :)
