May I say something on the 4th case? (6x +3)/(9x +4)=(9x +4)/(6x +3) You said 6x +3+9x+4=0 Then 15x = - 7 x = -(7/15) But If the LHS = a then RHS = 1/a The equation stands a =1/a > a^2 = 1 > a =+1 and - 1 Now (6x +3)/(9x +4)=1 > 6x +3=9x+4 > - 3x = 1 > x = - (1/3) When (6x +3)/(9x +4)= - 1 > 6x +3 = - 9x - 4 >15x = -7 > x = -(7/5) It may be said that the given equation is a quadratic equation. Hence it will have two roots.
