Lumix GH6 Low Light footage /120p slow motion

For this video I shot in 5.7k 24p for the low light shots and once the sun came up I switched to 4k 120p. I used the Lumix 12-60 Leica lens. For the bird shot I used the Lumix 100-400 Leica lens. I edited and color graded in DaVinci Resolve. I added some noise reduction and sharpening in post. Location: Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland Florida

Alligator in 4K Version 2.0
Переглядів 7 тис.2 роки тому
This is a follow up to my most popular video Alligator in 4K, which has gained over 100k views. When I shot the first video I was still learning how to use my camera. Since then I have learned a few things about cameras, and was able to get a much better image for version 2.0. I hope everyone enjoys it. Location. Andrew, I and many of your friends are waiting for your new film. Keep goooing!🎉
Great video! I'm a GH6 user. Would you let me know what settings you chose to achieve the quality of this video? the vividness and smoothness of 120 fps doesn't show up on mine when I shoot with 4k 120 fps. Please help me out here
Beautifull!
sick.
Stunning
Great footage, man!
Hi, Superb video! What lens did you used and what focal lenghts did you tried mostly? Also, to avoid the wobbling effect at wide shots, did you turned off the IBIS?
Very well done!
Def works!🎉Thank You
How do you even do this ? I can’t figure it out, super new to this. Does the camera slow it down natively ? Or do you simply have to film in 300fps then use software ?
The camera shoots at 300fps and automatically slows it down, so the video is 24 fps. To speed it back up to normal you need video editing software. I use Davinci Resolve
beautiful
❤❤❤
Now let’s see if it can focus track erratic squirrel. There is a video of that , and it showed the LUMIX S5 IIX did a better job because of newly installed phase detect.
Excellent video. How’s the AF performance @300 fps?
Dude! Amazing footage. What lens did you use to shoot this footage?
Which lenses did you use?
Wow, these are some great clips -- the quality is superb. Did you shoot the entire video in V-Log or another profile?
Thanks it was all in V-log
Thanks for the reply! @@andrewmartin6404
The only thing that is missing from this to be perfect is the use of HDR (10 bit or 12 bit), but I don't think that works in 120fps, just 60. Yes I am aware that a lot of people don't have HDR screens, but this wildlife stuff simply looks stunning on an OLED, with rich colors and superb bright contrasty image.
I just picked up the GH6, I was wondering if you might consider sharing your basic camera settings? Great vide BTW that 120 frame rate is spot on.
call me impressed. this is NEWS to me with the 300 fps.
Hi, we wanted to collaborate with you. Would you like to learn more?
using zimbul ?? or handheld ?
Amazing stuff, makes me want to pack up my GH6 and a few lenses tossed in the bag and get lost somewhere. Was this ProRes in body or with via SSD out of curiosity? And did you shoot 5.7k in a 17:9 4k timeline?
Fantastic! What did you edit the video with? Is it V-Log?
Thanks Yes its V-log. I use Davinci Resolve
@@andrewmartin6404 Were you using the usb ssd to record and what speed were you using.,60 or 120fps? I just order a GH6 and a ssd. Excited!
What lens did you use
LUMIX Leica 12-60
Woooooow! where is this heaven????!!
superb quality WOW, thank you
Is this 10bit with 422?
Yes it’s ProRes 422 10bit
Very nice 🥳
Nice 🥳
woow
Very nice! GH6 is a great camera! What lenses?
In another video a year ago, you said you hardly used the S1H after getting the GH6. How do you use those cameras now?
Mesmerizing, thank you. It's beautiful
Something about the Smokey’s that always feels good to the soul! Great video!
Wahnsinn, ich bin verliebt in deine Filme. Danke.
Nice looking footage. Ever use pixel/pixel with your GH6?
Does change to 240fps increase the image quality a bit? Compare to 300fps?
beautiful color and sunset
What was your recording settings? 4k120? The slow motion is so nice!
Yes 4k 120 Vlog glad you enjoyed it. I have a few more videos shot with the GH6
@@andrewmartin6404 very nice content. Keep it up! I need to go out there with mine and get some footage lol
@@jojimonty2506 Friday I start my road trip to Yellowstone so I should have some videos up in the next few weeks
@@andrewmartin6404 awesome can't wait to see them!
great work - how is the manual focus pulling on the 100-400?
excellent!!
What lens did you use?
LUMIX Leica 12-60
@@andrewmartin6404 Beautiful video. I also have the same set up! You must have some of the steadiest gimbal hands ever! Or maybe warp stabe saves the day
@@JaySea_Productions just shoot at 120fps and slow it down to 24fps. It makes the footage look super smooth
That´s looking good.
how is everything natural !!!
Incredible, with what program is it edited? Fantastic.
THANK YOU
Great Video. Thank you. Switching from Canon to Pana Lumix S5 II and 2 bodies, would you recommend 2x S5 II and also with Sigma 60-600mm for Tele or 1x S5II and 1x GH6 with 100-400mm as Tele and for video and photo?
Depends on your priorities. The 100-400 is half the size of the 60-600 while giving more reach (better for birding). The 100-400 has better stabilization. And it syncs with the amazing GH6 IBIS. On the other hand, the 60-600 is sharper, and goes much wider. The S5II will give better DR and perform better at lower light. The IBIS on the S5II is the best I've seen on a full frame, but at longer focal lengths, Lens IS is more important, and the 60-600 is probably just above average. The GH6 is a better video camera for anything over 30p though. Similar DR and noise performance to the S5II with the crop for 4k60, and sharper as it oversamples from 5.7k. And the GH6 has the sharpest 4k 120p possible, as it is the only camera that oversamples for 4k 120p apart from the canon r3, which is $6k. Now about autofocus, for photography both are pretty similar. But for videography, the S5II is much better, as it has no pulsing or drifting and is pretty much on par with canon mirrorless cameras and only slightly behind the Sonys. The GH6 video autofocus is actually good when it comes to finding and staying on a subject, but you will notice pulsing in any specular highlights. That is the biggest drawback. In my opinion, if you're not opposed to manual focussing, the GH6 with the 100-400 is a much better wildlife setup.
That's a feedback. Thank you so much. Will go through in detail now and I hope, that soon will come a S1H M2 or also a G10 or GH7 with phase detect and that way, I will choose between the m43 and ff systems or I will buy both, for photography and videography. 🙏
looks great man, I have the z cam m 4/3 and was looking at this camera
How do you get the normal speed look while filming on slow mo ?
Just speed it up. I forget what percentage it is.
